This person is correct. This number is of GAP Inc. Credit Services, GAP Holdings' debt collection agency. THIS IS NOT A SCAM. It also does NOT mean that you, specifically, owe GAP any outstanding money. If you really feel as if they're calling you in error, it is possible that GAP could just be trying to reach someone that had your number previously. That was my situation:

I used to receive calls from this number 5 times, daily. They were looking for a couple that had defaulted on their payments and had my phone number before me. In fact, I have been receiving other wrong numbers that were intended for these same people, from other unrelated agencies (which verified for me that this isn't likely a scam). I called them back at 1-888-248-3182 and actually pressed '0' at every input, until an agent answered. The star key may work also; haven't tried...

While they were "unable" to transfer me to any supervisor without me first supplying them with personal information (which I refused to do), I merely asked them to blacklist my number from their outgoing correspondence and explained the situation. Took all of 5 minutes for me actually.

It's going on a week later now, and it seems to have worked. Hope this helps.

Called number back; gave home phone just for them to tell me I'm not in the system. Ask why they are calling in the first place because if I have an old navy card I want to know where it was sent too so I can sue

They started calling my cell phone today, repeatedly with no message.  after reading this posts I called back the number and it says its GAP, Inc wanting a SSN.   I have an old navy card that is current and i've never received a call from "GAP, Inc"  any credit company will not ask for your SSN over the phone, unless you are filling out a first time application.  My guess it is a SCAM, but i'm on the do not call list and not sure how to get it to stop.  I'm in Washington state, but it is an Oregon phone #.

Thankfully I found this site, been getting calls from this number twice today(so far) No message and I did answer first time but no response on the other end and I hung up! Thanks to you all for the info. According from what I found out it's a landline # in Lilburn,GA in Gwinnett County and I'm not paying to find out who it really is.

Old Navy Credit Card/Collections

Calls from: 678-518-2880, 330-433-5970, 678-518-2093, and 913-789-2962.

This is insane! My phone is ringing 10 plus times a day and today is a holiday!

I just called the number back and it turns out that the lady who previously had my number before I did had not changed the information on the card she owed on. She got behind and they have been harrassing me. If your number is fairly new, like within 3 years, you may have a similar problem. I called and they were actually very courteous and fixed the issue right away.

This is a scam...even if you have a Gap or Oldnavy card, they never ask for your SSN.  This lady asked for my account and SSN.  Please do not give information to this company

I just got my first call from them today. At 6 in the morning!!!!! how do you make em go away

This company calls like clockwork every other day between 12:00-12:45pm.  They represent themselves as GE Money Bank and say they need to talk to me about my Gap account.  I do NOT have an account with Gap, do not shop at the Gap, and I am sick and tired of these horrible scam businesses calling my cell phone. As the number they are calling me on was registered with the National Do Not Call Registry I have just filed a complaint against this number.

I get calls from this number a few times a month and I never pick up.  Once I actually did pick up and no one speaks on the other side.  I added it to the reject list.  
it's very annoying.  people have nothing better to do.

Calling at place of employment in violation of Federal Law

called my cell phone a bunch of times in the last week. They've left messages a few times. Message says it is GE Money GAP card services and I am supposed to return their call at 1-888-248-3182 or log onto their website gap.com/gapcard and click on 'my account'

Trouble is I don't have a Gap card.

GE money is also Mattress Firm, American Eagle, and many other businesses, not just Old Navy/Gap/Banana Republic

Called and actually left an (automated) message. Claimed to be calling about Old Navy credit card services, an account which is at 0 balance and completely current.

they called and missed me. they did not leave any message

Called and then a message came on saying something about connecting my call. So I hung up. Then they called back 5 min later and when I picked up they hung up. Def. a scam....!!!!
