This company keeps calling my house, every day, starting at 8 o'clock in the morning and continues to call throughout the day. It is extremely disruptive to the other members of the household, who have absolutely no dealings with this company. They refuse to give any information, only asking for my mother, who is gone all day and doesn't get home until late at night. She doesn't know who they are either.

The number is GE Money's debt collection service.  (JCPenny MC, etc.)  It's unpublished.  They don't always leave a message or even identify themselves.  They have no tie in to the online payment system for the credit cards, so they continue to call even after you have paid online or talked to the JCPenny MC customer services to resolve the issue.

Have received several calls past few days. No messages were left. I called number and it's some outfit called GE Money calling on behalf of JC Penney. A recorded message advises you to call an 800 number (JCP, I assume) about some type of information/offer. I have not done this.
