i have been getting calls from lots of different numbers that either just listen as you repeat hello, then hang up, or ask for members of the family.  if told that person is not home they hang up.  one person that i was able to talk to asked for my husband, said he was from a government financial service and that he could see all of my husband's debts on his computer and wanted to help us out. bogus.  i noticed that ever since we switched out of at&t for home service, we've been getting a lot of these calls, where as before we never received any.  could it be at&t's way of getting even or trying to get us back by scamming our line thru the other provider?  i hope not.  a few of the calls have actually been at&t when i've called them back.  there are too many calls though.  it's very annoying.  here is a list of the calls on my caller id in the last 2 months since we switched that have been hang ups, financial aid or some bogus solicitation.  i've included what the caller id shows on calls that had them. how can we get them to stop.  looks like a few comments i've seen here and in other sites, donotcall sign up does not seem to work.

Got the same type of call four of five times today. Also very rude and harrasing! I unhooked my phone several times when I rehooked it up they continued to call.

Identified themselves as Financial Services, and as others have stated, said they were calling on behalf of all of our creditors (Visa, MC, Express, etc).  Told her to remove us, and she became irrate, telling me that if my husband and I chose not to work with her, then our creditors would refuse to lower our interest rates EVER.  (We do not have any past due bills)  When I asked what cards of ours they owned/had rights to, she said none.  She said she could not remove us from the call list, so I told her if they called again I would place telephone harassment charges against them.  She hung up.  ANother site of complaints list their address as 3024 Ashland Court, SW Marietta, Georgia 30064.  When I called the number back, it stated it was disconnected.

Received a call from this number on home phone this morning...I answered 'Hello' twice and the invidividual on the other end hung up after pausing several seconds before hanging up. ??? Not the first time this has happened from this #....I hit *69 after the caller hung and retrieved the number 1-678-564-3950.  I would think that after calling several times the person would finally do something other than hang up after several seconds of listening to me say 'Hello'.

Received call from this "company" they called themselves Financial Services. The man said that he was affiliated with Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express and that we qualified for lower credit card interest rates. He was very forceful and very rude. He would not send out any information by mail. He also was very interested in why my husband was gone ( at work) during the day. I attempted to ask him multiple questions about how he had our credit score and credit card information, he did not answer any of my questions. We are also on the NO CALL LIST in wisconsin and he said that they don't have to follow their laws.

Recieved two calls, told both  callers I was not interested thank you and told the second not to call again please. Second caller, merideth, called me back, rudely told me I didn't know what she was calling about and that she was trying to help me lower my interest rates. She was very rude and then said she was going to update my information  and send it to the credit bureau. I don't know what kind of affiliation they have with the credit bureau or even who they are. She said she was with Financial Services but can't find a  business called Financial Services.

Unknown call to my cell phone -- didn't answer -- no message. Doesn't look good from data here.

got three calls today trying to get a lower rate on my visa the first guy was very forceful and i finally hung up then they called again and i let it go to my answering machine and they didn't leave a message then they called a third time an my husband answered and i picked up the phone to see how it was and accidently pressed redial and the lady said you need to grow up and then hung up.

Alicia from Financial Services called 3 times to offer us a lower rate on our Visa card, which we do not have. First two times I informed her that we didn't have a Visa and don't bother calling back. Third time I let it go to the answering machine and she left a message telling my husband to call back if he wanted a lower interest rate on his Visa or to keep his wife (me) tamed, because I'm a wild dog. I'm pretty sure that Visa would not be pleased to find out that this type of call is being made on their so called behalf.

This is a SCAM! They will ask for credit card info, claiming to represent Best Friend Financial. They want to lower your current credit card rate for a fee of $300. They are unprofessional and will "transfer you" to a security person who records the call. THe security person is whoever is sitting next to them. Ha.

Very pushy. One person offered to give me her personal phone number.

If you did give them your number, try to cancel your credit card ASAP.

This number has been showing up every day for weeks. I ended up answering because I was on a phone that didnt have caller ID. The lady said she was Financial Services, wanted to lower my interest rates, and wanted to verify with me the amount of debt that I have. I told her it was none of her business. She was very rude & nasty and said, well it is my business because I work for the credit bureau. I hung up on her.....

Call came in at 11:58 a.m. at work.  No one on the line.

I get a call from this number on a daily basis.  I did answer one of the calls and the gentleman on the line was very confrontational.  He said he worked for "financial services".  I asked for what and he replied, "for Visa".  I told him I wasnt interested and he said that this wasnt a telemarketing phone call.  Knowing that he was lying, I told him to put me on his "Do not call list", in which he replied again, "I'm not a telemarketer!"  I kindly asked to be put on the do not call list again and he asked me for a better time to call back to speak with my husband!!!!  I hung up.  
They keep on calling!  We have outstanding credit and also have credit protection so we would know if someone was trying to open any accounts with our info.  It has nothing to do with "bad credit or defaulted credit".

Here is a number you can reach them at 866-417-9943.  It is the same "Financial Services" that will call from the "678" number.  Dial the 866 number and you will actually get to speak to a person!  I told her I was reporting them to GA Attorney General and to put me on her "Do not call list". She had to ask the person next to her for a pen and piece of paper to write my number down!  We'll see if this works!

They just called again...he knew my first name and the call was regarding our Visa and Mastercard accounts. We also are on the do not call registry and also pay an additional fee provided by our telephone company. They are told (via the phone company after dialing our number)that we do NOT accept vendors, salepersons, beggars etc...then they are required to push the #1 on the pad in order for our home phone to ring. I hung up on them AGAIN and will post a 'do not answer' by the phone. Very annoying  for elderly folks.

This phone number calls my home 3 to 4 times daily 678-564-3950. If I am right it is a warenty company or debt redution company. I have tried to back call them with no success.

this number continues to call three or four times a day.  when I answer, the caller does not respond.  Today a fellow asked rudely asked for a specific person.  The caller did not identify himself.  I told him I am registered with "Do Not Call" and to please not call again.

Today along this number has called me 10 times.  I have tried to block the number and the phone company say it can't block this number.  They are driving us crazy

enough already!!!! i reported this number to the ftc yesterday 10-6-09 but it seems it takes a while to take effect (if it every does)  today 10-7-09 have had 4 calls so far.  what to do next??? any suggestions??? have been getting these calls for quite a while.

Got the same rude call from this company Financial Services Corp. After the guy basically told me how bright he is and that he owns 2 flats in downtown Atlanta, making degrading comments towards me along the way, I've decided to not get angry, rather get even. 15 minutes research found the following:

The address in the posts 3024 Ashland Court, SW Marietta, Georgia 30064 does not really have a company located behind it. So I went and did a little more research and found Financial Services Corp. in the BBB with the address of 2300 Windy Ridge Pkwy SE Suite 1100n. The 866-417-9943 number does not work either as it has a full voicemail box. Much to my surprise in the BBB listing i found a 1-800-547-2382, called it and sure enough Mr. Garret was not listed in the company. However, I was able to talk with the receptionist and have now involved this companies (FSCorp) security. The place that calls as a telemarketer is actually a fraudulent company intentionally registered to impersonate this company.

I have been asked to also file a BBB complaint, based on the found company and have attached my filing. See in the following. It has been suggested to me that filing will lead to a much fast follow-up and hopefully shutdown of these shady characters.

After doing a full trace-back, did I mention I work for an internet fraud software company, I can trace the calls from both the 866 and 678 number back to the originating phone number 770-541-6127. Which in turn has a message on that says it is for emergency notifications only and to call the "real" companies switchboard at  770-916-6500!

However, that the smart tricksters did not know is that with this little number I was able to trace back the real address ownership and payee. In short I have opened a fraud case with BBB and put this forward with the NoCall organization. I've also been told by FSCorp that their legal team has started legal proceedings.

Talk about 30 minutes that where worth it...

I have received 4 calls from this number in the last two days.  No message.

I have been getting calls from this number multiple times a day, with no one responding when I answered.  After reading all of these comments here, when they called yesterday, I picked up the phone and immediately started pressing one of the number keys, giving them a beep in their ear.  Hopefully they'll think it's a fax number or the like and stop calling.

My 9 year old son called me at work this afternoon crying because he had answered the phone and a lady asked for my (EX) husband.  My son told her that he no longer lives here.  She was very rude and actually yelled at him..I called the # back and it stated that it was disconnected..The # WAS 678-564-3950.  How dare you talk to a child in this manner...Absolutely crazy...I hope they call back when I'm home cause I will throw a fit..

They were calling almost daily a month or so ago.  They usually hang up on me because they are calling my home business and I answer the phone with the business name. I answered once (just saying "hello") and decided to play along.  They say they are with Financial Services and can lower your interest rate on your credit card.  They imply they know which cards you have and what your debt is.  I asked her which card and she said the one with the 20k balance.  I don't have such a card and told her this.  I also told her I have no trouble paying my bills and my interest rates are low, so I doubt she can help.  She stated that she could and that they have relationships with my credit card issuers and can lower my rates. She claimed they call every month and basically pester your creditors to lower you rates.  (If I've tried this and it didn't work, what makes her so special?) I continued to play along stating, "Well, who doesn't want lower rates?". She wanted a credit card number to verify an account.  I acted really interested but told her I'd need to check with hubby and asked her for a number and web address. She gave me 888-292-3421 and a web addy of silerfg.com.  The calls stopped for a while, but have started up again.  They never leave a message and hang up when I answer.  (Rememeber, they are calling my home business and I answer with the business name.)

I just tried calling the 866-417-9943 number someone suggested.  I enformed the young lady who answered that they were calling a business and to please take the number off their list. She said, "Ok, Have a nice day" and hung up.  We'll see if this works.  It is really annoying for me as a work from home "Mom to be". When that phone rings I get excited because it should be a potential client. I rush to my office for nothing! We should be able to stop these annoying calls!!
