But it gets better, folks...look at the opening paragraph of this fine, one-page website..."FAS files Litigation Claims, only if debtors fail to voluntarily  arrange a reasonable consolidation of their outstanding debt."  What, exactly, is a "Litigation Claim"?  I know what a small claims action is, which is the category any payday loan would fall into, and I know what litigation means, but a "Litigation Claim"?

But the worst part is the 2nd paragraph, where they tell you what FNA is..."FNA is an arm of Federal Assett Solutions.  FNA is responsible for defending the claim for the accused...."

Wait a minute...you mean that this guy that calls and pretends to be "Investigator Whoever" is going to defend the alleged debtor?  Everyone should breathe a huge sigh of relief now...Whew...we feel better already.  But wait, there's more..."However, if  a settlement is not reached, FNA is also the Dept. that will facilitate court orders, subpoenas, summons, and all other legal actions."  Now I'm really confused...how does one facilitate court orders, subpoenas, and summons?  Aren't they issued by the court, and served by either a deputy or constable, depending on your jurisdiction?  Exactly how do they "facilitate" any of this?

This type of organization is nothing but a scam.

Maybe IF Federal ASSETT (as you spell it) Solutions spent time on SPELL CHECK as WELL AS the FDCPA they would KNOW they are not only illiterate, they are BREAKING FEDERAL LAW.

Wow I got the same phone call they said I owe over 600.00 when I asked them for what they said a payday loan in 2010 gave me a check # and my account # the only thing that threw me was they gave me an address I never stayed at.  I called my bank and my bank told me there was no transaction of any deposit. I called this federal assett solutions and asked them to send me something in writting of this debt.  They sent me an email that I could not open it said "Files not scanned are available for download but should be treated with caution. So that's what made me google this company. Just to find this the number's that has called me are: 678-666-1984, 678-205-8825, and 678-205-8829 they have Arbitrator in front of there names. The person that contacted me was Arbitrator Poole.  The person that sent the email was Arbitrator Brown.  I called the bank and closed all my accounts then called the attorney general where I live.

These people are scammers! They took $100.00 a week from my debit card...Watch out for them

Been through this and before getting upset I google everything phone numbers names and addresses most address are to a post office or ups mail boxes that is why they want everything. Faxd to them or yojr debit card info after googling everything and calling them on everything we goggled they hungg up on us and we called the attorny generals office in the state they say they are located and they told us it was a scam and now it kis in the attorny generals hands. Make. Sure you notify the credit report people and put a fraud alert on your credit report. This is what we were I formed to do hope this kis a help to you. These people are calling my parents and telling them they are pressing charges and are going to throw me in jail. Im scared. Wth. How do i stop these people. I honestly never took a payday loan out. Can I sue them?

what these scammers do is buy the information from unscrupulous online "marketing" firms that you may have filled out preliminary information for a moan, but you night not have even taken the loan out.  they buy your data and then months later try to collect on your "debt" that you never even took out.  it has been happening to me for over a year from a lead form i filled out because I thought it was for a legitimate loan consideration.  once i saw it was a payday loan i didnt go through with it.  now every few months or so, i get some boiler room with cheesy "investigators" calling me to discuss "pending action" on a debt that I don't have.  my lawyer has tried to flame them, but they wont return his calls. hmmm.

my landlord said they called her about me every time I tried to get throughi couldnt. Also I been a victim of Identity theft then this bogus company calls me. I have no debts.

They may have purchased the debt from someone like Ernie who buys old portfolios in the desperate hope of making a profit. They are violating FDCPA. I will contact an Attorney. The BBB and the Federal Trade commission. They should have never mentioned my mothers name. Harassment is against the Law.

Got a call from this number last Thursday from an investigator Higgins from Federal Asset Solutions in GA. (FEDERAL ASSETT SOLUTIONS, 7742 Spalding Drive, Suite 318, Norcross, GA 30092-4207

They are trying to collect $970 from me for 2 "unpaid" payday loans from MTE financial supposedly taken out around March 2010. I had no online loans with that bank account from the time it was opened until mid-July 2010.  And every one of those I can account for as NOT connected to MTE, and all paid off in full on or before November 1st.   They have my checking account and routing numbers (checking account is now closed), my social security number, employment information, address, etc., but I never took out a loan through MTE or any of it's affilate companies.  They were polite and decent, but we could not reach a compromise.  They told me they had purchased this "debt" from MTE and have no further information such as exact dates, amounts of the loans, etc. They told me my file was being forwarded to their litigation department and wished me good luck at the end of the call.  MTE has an F rating with numerous complaints on the BBB's website, so I assume they sold a non-existant debt to this collection agency.  I say let it go to court-they have no proof and I have bank statements for the entire time frame the account was open and can show no deposit from MTE.  I would assume MTE to be the fradulant company, but don't know for sure.  Has anyone else heard from this company?
