This number calls twice a day for a week during the early morning hours and supper time in Hawaii.  The calls stop for a few weeks and then goes full swing for another week.  Town-city. state with phone number appears on caller ID.  I don't know anyone there.  Today, I called them back.

Person:  Hello

Me:  Sir, is there a reason you or your company feel the need to call me at 3 am and at supper time in Hawaii a couple times a day for a week?

Person: I never called you, that's not the number.

Me:  There's a reason you called.  What do you want or do you just randomly call people for fun?  And, what's this hello business?  Are you a collector?  What do you want?  Don't call!!!!  I have no debt, I owe no money to you!

Person:  But, I...

Me.  How does that feel?  *click*

45 minutes later, the number calls me back.  I pick up and say hello and blast a marine horn into the the phone.  Person hung up immediately.

Out of Area caller calls several times per week and never says anything after I answer. If you call the number 678-679-3051, they answer as "Vision Financial". I asked them why they kept calling me. They said they are trying to reach some name I never heard of. I have had this phone number for years. They were polite and said they would remove my number from their list.

Oh freaking wonderful, yet ANOTHER bill collector calling for one of the 2 women who had our number previously.. I'm really getting sick of this.  We tell them all time and time again that we are not the "Tuckers" or the "Woodliffs" yet they continue to call and have even called me a liar.  Both my husband I own brand new cars, we do not owe money to anyone other then the bank that we have our new loan through.  Our 1st payment isn't even due until next week.  How can I get them to stop?  I don't want to have to pay money to change my phone number again.  We pay to have an unlisted/unpublished number yet we get on average 10 calls a day from either scam telemarketers or slumbag debt collectors.  Our answering machine is very specific and says our name clearly and that if they are not looking for myself, my husband or my son or if they are a telemarketer they are to remove our number or face legal action.  I know they listen to the message.  So I guess now is the time to sic my lawyer on them.

I totally agree with you.  I have never paid a collection agency yet.  When they do call me I mess with them.  I normally answers my phone like a business.  Something like Frank's Pizzeria.  This totally confuse them and they hang up.  The phone conversation will stay connected long enough for the phone company to be able to trace it if you want them to.  I will do this for about five time and store the number on my caller id and I also can off my phone bill online.  Then I call the police and file a harassment report.  One the report has ben file when they do call I let them know a harassment report has been filed.

The first time we got a phone call from a debt collector (years ago), I assumed that they accidentally had gotten the wrong phone number.  Now, several years later, and lots of calls from debt collection companies, collecting debts from a variety of people with different names (obviously fictional names), it seems obvious that these companies are all bogus.  Yep, there are real debts, and debt collection companies, but the ones that tend to call constantly, must be run by a bunch of criminals.  We don't have any debt, and have had our phone number for a very long time.  No reason to call us, except for the vague hope that we have lost our minds, answer unknown phone numbers, and then proceed to send money to folks who lie and make up stories.  Duh.

This is one of many VOIP telephone numbers used by VISION FINANCIAL. They use many including numbers from your area code to get you to answer their harassing calls. They will spoof the caller ID to say anything they want to conceal their true identity. They are "zombie debt" buyers that buy uncollectable or expired (beyond SOL) debt. They are the worst of the bottom feeders. They pay next to nothing for what amounts to a call list of people they might be able to trick or intimidate into awaken an old long expired  debt. NO ONE SHOULD EVER SPEAK TO THEM or any other similar collection agency. You have EVERYTHING to loose and NOTHING to gain by talking to them, or getting sucked into their game.
If you are foolish enough to talk to them or God forbid send them any money you may restart the SOL clock and THEN you WILL be in real trouble. NEVER, NEVER SPEAK TO THEM. If you are stupid enough to give them any financial info they will drain your bank account or make unauthorized charges to your credit cards. They have no reservations about violating the law. They do it every day. Anything these criminals tell you is a lie. They have only one mission and that is to take as much of your money as they can. They can't do that if you don't talk to them. If they were going to really file a lawsuit they wouldn't be calling you on the phone. THINK.
Avoid them like the Plague that they are.

Yup, Vision called and keeps calling and asks to verify information and I just tell them that I do not know who they are and I do not give out any personal information to anyone over the phone period. They kept asking and I put one on hold for 45 mins just to see if they would stay on the line and like a pitbull with lockjaw they were stupid enough to hold that long. Afterwards I told them that I am still in no position to give them any personal information and they finally hung up on me and quit calling..hehe!!!

I am a collector for a bank. It is against FDCPA guidelines for a creditor/collector to call you before 8am and after 9pm your local time. Do not erase the number from your caller id and file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. Have all numbers, dates, times, and the names and/or id's of the associates with whom you've spoken to handy. The credit agency will be fined per violation. File a complaint with the BBB. You can also ask for their fax number and advise them you no longer want phone calls and you will be faxing over a cease & desist letter stating so.

Alas that is true.  Too bad we don't have elected officials that care about the people who elect them.  Some states, CO is one of them I think, have passed laws restricting collection callers to those scum bags who actually live or have a business license in the state.  This allows them to go after them.  Try filing a complaint with your state attorney general's office.  It's free and if you live in a state where your elected officials actually care about (and good luck with that) they will stop them.

As long as there are weak minded fools who will give them money, they will continue their debauchery. I have a rule: I never, never, never ever pay collection agencies, even if they think I owe them money by 'buying' a debt of mine from an original creditor. If my financial situation improves and the original debtors still retain the account, then I will pay them. But never will a single red cent go to a collection agency. If everyone followed this simple rule we would put them out of business for good.

They have even sued me and won a judgment. I still do not pay. I make them pay. I go downtown, get free legal aid and fight them all the way through the court process making them pay through the nose for their out of town lawyers. Then I give them the middle finger with prejudice. If they escalate, I escalate even further. It doesn't pay to attack me. They are really cowards. All bullies are. Just remember that. If it cost them money to attack everybody they'd be out of luck and out of business and a happy day that would be.

Their threats are empty. They can't do anything to you even if you own a home. They are bullies and the only way to deal with a bully is with a fist. Even girls have fists. In fact, I?ve seen some pretty big ones on girls! :)

Come on people. Put your big girl panties on and find some intestinal fortitude. Don't let them intimidate you. Just resist like the rock of Gibraltar and let the water roll off your back. There are a million things you can do to fight back. Just do it and we will DESTROY them.

called today at 10:49AM, no message left. CID says C**ming GA

I just saw our jack*** failure of a president on TV going on and on about nothing. This BS is rampant but will the current admin do anything? Anything other than plan another vacation. The gap between the public and city hall just grows and grows. FTC this and Trade that, nothing we the public do will make any difference. Gee, I wonder if there is any links between the scam debt collection groups and the liberal campaign finance and political donation maggots? Hmmm, how else would this go on almost completely unchecked?

These scammers called us at 8 am today and left no message. These people are a bunch of criminals trying to weasel and scam the next gullible person. Even if a person has a legitimate debt,...... if you are not dealing with the person you have a debt with, then why would you entertain dealing with a 3rd party who has no claim or business contractually in that said debt. just plain ignorance.
