I have received numerous calls from this number. Not just here on my home phone but also on my in laws phone and close friends phones stating the same thing about being investigated for fraud. When you call them back or press 9 nothing happens or they can't explain anything that makes sense. So I actually went to the local police dept to see if there was anything pending regarding fraud on my family and nothing has come up. He said the number is a fake and not to pay any attention to it. Just a sad way of pulling a prank I guess

I received a message from this # stating it was from RCMG. They stated that this matter involved a legal complaint for fraud; 95109-criminal law statute. They demanded that I return the call or suffer both civil and criminal charges!  I have NO idea what this is about & do believe to be a SCAM! Beware!

Woah.. hold on... they are claiming to  be the RCMP?  That is illegal.  You should file a report with the RCMP and the anti-fraud division.  If you look to the right, you'll see a Forum.  Search in there for "Canadian Rules".  I think I put some info about filing with the anti-fraud place.  Good luck.

Total collection scam. Report them.

I reported them to the Better Business Bureau and received this reply:

Please be advised of the following as it pertains to your complaint filed with the BBB. The phone listed 678.723.2023 is not one of ours. The company RMCG is no way affiliated with Retrieval Masters Creditors Bureau Inc. (RMCB). Please let us know if we may be of further assistance.

This is another SCAM....

In a deep, gruff voice:
"This call is from the firm of RMCG in reference to a legal complaint for fraud.  It would behoove you call us within 24 hours to prevent any adverse legal action pursuant to federal law 95-109.  Please hit the 9 key to speak to an asset investigator now, or dial us back at 678-723-2023... IMMEDIATELY to avoid probable civil and or criminal charges."

So, a little research...

3. Public Law 95-109 clearly states: "False or misleading representations: A debt collector may not use any false, deceptive, or misleading representation or means in connection with the collection of any debt."

So, threatening "probably civil and or criminal charges" if I don't respond within 24 hours sounds a little deceptive, given that this same voicemail has been left over the course of a few weeks.

Who is this calling me regarding Fed. Law #95-109 saying I have 24 hrs. to respond?

This number jeeps5 calling me for a " Fraud " a serious legal matter . I know for a FACT there is no legal matter or fraud judgment on me .

This is RCMP they say in a recorded message but it is computer voice saying that there is a serious legal matter that you need to call them about or that you can press 9 to speak to someone about it now.  If you press 9 nothing happens. I think it is just one of the bottom feeder collection agencies that purchased old debt...way past the Statutes of Limitation...for pennies on the dollar and which they are hoping to collect anything on.
