I received a call from them about 3 days ago and advised that I had received the phone book (which I discarded).  I received another call from them today but they hung up when I answered.  I'm also on the "Do Not Call" list.

I work for SDDS, it is a "Tele-Check" process to make sure the phone book has been delivered and the information on file that is given to us via Qwest/CenturyLink/Dex is correct.  Your information that you choose to give to the caller is entered directly into your Yellow Pages/White Pages directory company.  SDDS does not store/sell any information they receive on these calls.  The verification process is done to ensure that all books have been delivered.  The deliveries are made by 100% local labor to bring jobs to your community as they are the most familiar with your neighborhoods.  This is a requirement that the companies, i.e. Qwest/CenturyLink/Dex, puts in place, not SDDS.  We apologize for any inconvenience but it is their requirement to ensure you have received your Yellow/White pages.

Got a call from this number asking to confirm if I recieved the new phone book.  The call doesn't make sense because the phone companies don't confirm if you recieve their phone book, they just deliver them.

I don't think people are perinoid, or hiding from collectors.  If I don't recgonize the name or number I do not answer the the call.  If it is important, they will leave a message!

DITTO! I own a very small, local, business - 90% of out of area calls are telemarketers (read scum of the earth) even since the idiot FCC stupidly allowed numbers to leave their home area code. I can't afford a receptionist to screen all this raw sewage.

short story - if it does not come from MY area code I have to ignore it.

Paranoid much, folks? Hiding from bill collectors? Answer the phone.

SDDS is a telephone book delivery company. All they are doing is quality assurance to make sure your telephone books were delivered.

All you need to do is say YES! And they will stop calling.

Guy was calling to verify that I received the Yellowbook that they threw onto my front lawn. I asked the guy for his home address so I could stop by to throw my household trash in his yard.  No response.

Got a call from the number the day before, asked if I got the book I replied no and they hung up.  They called again today and I did not answer but they left no message. If these guys are legit, why are they unlisted? I agree with Thom.

They hung up when I picked up.  Reading other messages here about Yellow Book delivery, they did leave one at the end of my driveway a couple of days ago ... when I realized both the yellow and white sections were nothing but business listings, I threw it in the recycle bin rather than clutter up a shelf in the house.

I got a call from this number today; I did not answer but it showed up on my call log with no name shown.  Good lord, how important can it be for them to verify if you got a "free" phone book or not...who uses them these days anyway?  I am not about to give the answer "yes" followed by my name to anyone unless I called them and know they need the information in order to help me.  There are so many scammers out there that need just the word "yes" and your name to sign you up for something you don't want that my advice is to ignore these calls or, if you do answer and they ask if you got your phone book, just say "I got the book"...don't say "yes" and when they ask for your name ask them why they need your name if they just called your phone number or just tell them all they need to know is that you got the book and hang up.

It's a totally legit call. I used to deliver books for SDDS. They are just trying to verify that you got your book. No scams to it. SDDS gets paid by Yellow Book and other phone companies to deliver the books.

Called but did not leave message.  From the information from other posters they are obviously selling something that I don't want and don't have time for.  Thanks to the guy that invented caller ID.

received a call from 678-730-2670, it rang three times and when I answered it they hung up on me. They have not called back..., how strange are these people. Even if they are compiling a phone number registry you would think they would have a better way to handle it.
Strange & rude, they are not the only ones that operate this way and I honestly wish they would all grow up.
