Got a call from this number, but I didn't recognize it.  They did leave a message.  It's an automated message that they left. It was from an organization for which I attended a conference last year and they were inviting me to their conference this year.  It appears that this number is used as a service for organizations to be phoned on their behalf.

An invitation to attend some religious conference in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Promise Keepers was the name.

6787840828 called me. I live in Canada so I don't understand why an American company, or telemarketer would be calling me here in Canada. It didn't have the name, just the number and it wouldn't leave a message on the machine, and of course I wouldn't go and answer the phone.

This # is from a Call Centre auto-dialer, so depending on the current contract, it will represent a different organization/business each time it calls.  In my case, it was promoting an event which I am expecting to hear about & have signed up for to receive info on.  When Call Centres do a good job, there are not menacing ... when their technology fails, they are mostly annoying & a waste of time.  Thank goodness for Call Block when you need it! ;)

GA, USA on both my cell and land phone at the same time... Very strange right...  I tried calling back the number.. There is no answer at the other end.. Does anyone know what's going on???

Same here. He/she has been calling for over two months. We just blocked the number. Maybe sooner or later they will get the message we are not interested in hearing their rhetoric.

They called me this morning. I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number and have gotten a lot of telemarkting/fundraising calls recently. These calls are a pain in the neck!

I get calls at least once a day from ONECALLWEB,678-784-0828.  No one speaks when I choose to answer. How can I stop these calls?

It's a group called ONECALLWEB.COM that appears to be a service for a number of local organizations.  Whenever I get a call from this number, there's a message on my voicemail from my local county representative.

It did leave me a message and it was a recorded message from a local politician.

I have received calls at least 10 times from this number.  No message has been left.

I strongly disagree with Nicki's analysis. It sounds like an American thing.
I live in Canada and no one in this house is anywhere close to going to college and they've called twice today. Left no message.

They are a third party company that companies/institutions hire to do their marketing leg work.  So Nicki's analysis is correct, b/c dillard university is one of their clients.  However they do have other clients so it doesn't necessarily have something to do with college.

This number called me twice, but left a voicemail message. This number is linked to the fafsa company. So if any of yuh above have applied to college, or to the fafsa application but has not yet finished then that phone number is them calling. The fafsa is a state government federal aid that funds students for college. The voicemail also mentioned "dillard university", but they probably mentioned that school because i just got accepted into that university and the university probably contacted them to add their school to the list for me, in which i haven't even finished my fafsa application. So there is your answer everyone!

I'm on the No Call list. They call me every day. Sometimes 5-10 times a day. I thought they would stop after the November elections, but they didn't. No mention of opting out on their Web site.

been getting calls from 678-784-0828 for about 3 months now all at around 3 am and on. Sometimes 3 or 4 times and its happening everyday. Since I have a elderly mother I get up to answer but no one has ever said anything and they never leave a message if I don't reach it in time. Tried calling back but all I get is a busy signal.

Wasilla AK  Rec'd call from this number today.  Recorded-sounded voice started out "Hello, this is Mary and I'm mad...."  I hung up at that point.  Called ID showed onecallweb.com

Received a call from this number this morning on my cell -- kept ringing and ringing -- never went into my voice mail - so then called back and called back -

I honestly believe this is one of those police set up operations...
Say for instance if you have a warrant out for your arrest, you get a phone call or something in the mail saying that your a winner of some prize and all you have to do is come pick it up.....When you show up , police are there to arrest you..

Caller ID onewebcall.com. No message provided on answering machine. Looked up website and found:

"The domain onewebcall.com is for sale. To purchase, call BuyDomains.com at 339-222-5141 or 866-830-6476".

I just recently updated my information on the "no call list" therefore I should have not received this call.
