The called said they are from a Collection Agency and need my checking account information. When I tell them I don't owe any money they say they are with our Cable TV Company and just need to set it up and kept the act up.  I called our Cable Company and they assured me that we don't owe any money.  
I looked up how to report fradulate calls like these and found this information:

Caller ID says, MCR and Associates. Internet search comes up with McNair, Chandler and Rosenberg...  Debt Collectors. 1744 Roswell RD #102, Marietta, GA 30062, phone 770-977-1827.  Left no message.

If that is the case - which it probably isn't - why are you calling my cell phone?

Can this tactic work at all? Can you actually hire pushy jack***es to get the owner on the phone and then get the owner to set up an appointment for surveillance cameras?  I am amazed that can ever successfully happen. I hung right up on them.

If you keep telling them that the best way to get a message through is to leave one w/you, they will eventually get frustrated & hang up.  The guy told me his name was "Dustin Nolan".  He didn't have the right address for our office & he requested someone who hasn't worked here in years.

This company has called my business at least 10 times. When I have answered, I told them I have no need or interest in what they were selling, to please stop calling, but they still call. They immediately ask for the owner without first saying who they are, which is extremely unprofessional and rude, plus who is going to put them right though anyway? I get interrupted by this kind of call 5 to 10 times a day, it's very intrusive and sometimes interrupts me when I am in the middle of a project. It's infuriating. Now ALL my calls go to voice mail automatically, that way I can get my work done.

I am a one man operation thus I am the owner and I answer my own phone. When Sentry calls I explain that I don't need to record video of just myself and AS THE OWNER I request they stop calling me. Two days later a different person from the same company calls and I have to start all over.

I have requested to four different telemarketers for this company that they remove me, all said they would and it hasn't happened.

Alot of rude comments that fit with the people that call our business.  They are wasting our company time calling, calling, calling...... We have caller ID but on rare occasion pickup the phone without looking ie step away from the desk, down the wall, etc.  We are looking 100% of the time now.  Rude people never ever get our business even if it is something we would purchase in the first place.  If a company is rude from the get-go, we can only imagine what their customer service would be like.

Two calls so far today.  Even after we asked to be taken off the list.

Sounds like the same lady I had call today around 12:30pm. I guess I could say called at 12:30pm, would not give any information, kept asking for the owner. Told her she would never get to him by calling this number, wanted a good number for him, for you older people I told her try BR549

Sentry has called several times and has been told several times that we do not need their services for security or computers services.  The rep then stated they had called only 4 times and that Sentry was not selling security of data solutions.

Got a call from this number wanting the owner but got the owners name wrong as they only had the first name an no last name.  I told them he was not in and they said they had an appointment with him and needed to know when he would be in.  I told them I did not know that information and he hung up.

Sounds like it's your business.  Defending a bunch of deadbeats pretty hard, aren't we?

Someone has called twice today asking to speak to the owner.  I am the office manager and run this business and the owner is retired and is my father.  They still will not talk to me and THEY WILL NEVER GET TO TALK TO HIM.  He will not take any call ever if the caller cannot tell me why they are calling.  So good luck trying, not going to happen.

This company called looking for our President or owner, we are an 100million company, and our corp office not located in our office, I tried to tell them this, they said only the owner or president could tell them....well I am the office Manager, she then told me she would loose her job if she told me what she was calling about...Really? liars, scammers, whatever....I called back, told the manager if they call again, i will tell them the same thing, as the office manager, i authorize my companies name be removed from your list, Dan, a supervisor said they would removed from list....Century Survalliance? they couldnt tell me what they did, or they would loose their job? wow, what a way to sell your products!!!

Lady asked to speak to the owner who's last name she had correct but first name wasnt even close.  I told her that he is never on location but that I am the manager and would be happy to help her. She rudely said where is his corparate location and number so that i can call him. I told her that isnt one and that I handle everything for this store.  I again asked how I could help her she again in a rude tone said "uhhhh no" and hung up on me.  She never stated who she was with or what the matter of the call was.

Dont bother to call us!! If we wanted you services we would call you! We are trying to run a business and do not want to be bothered by telemarketers, which is what you are when you call someone who didnt request your call!!!!!!

Century - They install security cameras for businesses. We opened a company in the past 6 months and this was a cold sales call from a phone bank trying to setup and appointment for a rep to come by and give us a free demonstration.

YEP, SENTRY SECURITY, COLD CALLING.  GOOD LUCK WITH THAT.

It's very irritating to have someone demand to speak to the owner without first saying who they represent. I am the owner and answer the phone, but I won't tell them who I am unless they tell me first why they are calling. Common courtesy.  They are intruding on my time, but they feel it's their right to do that, in my opinion I pay the phone bill here not them. My time is valuable and they are wasting it. Also, many times these calls interrupt me when I am trying to conduct business or do accounting which is very annoying. When they are rude it's infuriating because they don't know it but I have already had about 10 phone solicitor calls already.Also, most of the time when I ask these companies to stop calling that I have no need for their products or services, they continue to call.

Got a call from ignorant rude bi*** at SSI, told her to stop calling that I am incharge of the company and still rudeness.  Gives me the same BS that can only speak to the owner.  Also, have read comments by "Doc Holliday" (from the wild west?) who quotes the FBI and statistics.  To begin with, yes employees do steal.  They steal pens & paper!  A real thief knows how to steal undetected.  Also, Doc, when you are told to stop calling, by LAW, you must stop calling or face a lawsuit for harassmant and interfering with the operation of a business.  NO MEANS NO!  Maybe you need to learn thru the judicial system???

This obnoxious woman who refuses to give name or state why she is calling asked for the owner. She had one of the two owners names. i told her that he was not here and offered to help her. She then asked if there was a co-owner in and I said that we can not transfer the call. Knowing that 99% of these are BS sales calls, I asked what it was in regards to and she nastily said that she would call back later. I googled the number and this site came up. I called the number back and sure enough, it was Century..the company that everyone said that it was. What a witch. I did get a little revenge though. I told her that I know exactly who they are and that when she called, I googled her number and saw all the harassment reports. We blocked her number.
