I just got a call and they asked for a person by name but the name was wrong for our household. Once again it was a power rate reduction call. These people are super aggressive and call four to six times a day. I had an unlisted phone number and they somehow got it. I just changed my phone number for another unlisted number because I switched my cable company. I have Comcast and I can block their calls which is great. But what these clowns do is call again using a different phone number. I can't keep track of all the different phone numbers these people have used. They have been so harrassing that I wouldn't sign up with them just for spite!!! If you happen to have comcast you can dial star60 right after the call and it will block it. I'm sure most companies have a free call blocking feature. It has greatly reduced nusience calls but once in a while they still get through.

Got 3 phone calls from this same # 681-729-8481. They wanted to "reduce my electric bill" through their company Public Power.  These calls go nationwide. He asked for 1)my acc't # or 2)my customer #. I said if you want to reduce my power bill then you should have my info. He went into double talk. Hung up. Called back next day. Told him I had to "speak to someone about this" really meaning I am going to check online and with my power company about this company....and here I am reading about offshore telemarketers.

Forget about a restraining order, you need a Persuader like a whistle, air horn or screaming smoke alarm to brighten the scammer's day.

I get a few phone calles a day from this number and a dumb dude with think indian accent talks about saving energy. If I hang up on him he calles right back and askes "what happened, mam?" Asking him to stop calling wouldn't work, cursing him doesn't help eather. Do you guys think I could get restraining order?

Call your phone company and ask them about call blocking options.

It was a energy company, Trying to sell me energy through my existing provider. When I told them I wasn't interested. The person on the other end had an Indian accent and asked me not to hang up. Which I did and he called back two times before giving up.

someone from this number has called & left messages that are harassing / obscene words on Aug 23, and Aug 31, 2012, caller ID says Davy WV, 681-729-8481. When I try to find out further info, I get auto-msg saying its an invalid number or disconnected.

A male voice left an obscene -harassing message on my home phone repeating B*tch 3 times, from 681-729-8481, says Davy WV on caller Id, Aug 23, 2012.  This number called again today, Aug 31st, but I am too nervous to listen to messages. I tried calling back, and I get that its an out of service / invalid or disconnected number.

A male called and left a foul word, repeated three times on my home phone a couple weeks ago, and then called today.  I d call back & get fast busy signal or auto-msg saying its an invalid number. scary!

This number calls me several times daily...say they are from an energy power company with Duke Energy, that I qualify for a discounted rate, and that they can save me money if I give them my customer code.  I told the first caller that if they are truly from Duke Energy, they already have my customer code and that they should automatically apply my discount.  They insisted they do have my name, address, and account info but never did verify this for me.  I refused to give them any information and eventually hung up on them.  This was followed by an immediate call back from the same number who did not reply when I answered, then an "unknown" call came in moments later stating they were the supervisor and that I had just hung up on their subordinate...this person did not identify their company and I ended up telling this person to remove my number and never to call me again...well, they continue to call and I would love to know where to report them!

681-729-8481 - Davy, WV is Public Power, LLC.  They are trying to solicit your electricity/natural gas business.  The callers spoke in heavily accented English, and were difficult for me to hear and understand.  The offer was to reduce my cost per kilowatt hour, and they offered restaurant discount cards for $50 and $100 as incentives.  They were unaware of the agreement between the City of Cincinnati and First Energy, which offers 23% off Duke Energy's price to compare (6.07 cents per KWH), which is 4.67 cents per KWH.  I have yet to speak with an electricity provider who can beat that price.

Another call from Public Power.  The caller again spoke in heavily accented English, and hung up when I said that I had already spoken to a company representative who had indicated that I would be placed on their Do Not Call list.  Very rude telemarketers, and unfamiliar with the basics of polite behavior that would encourage a sale, not alienate a potential customer.

Just got a call from this number. Said he was with duke energy, and he could lower my electric bill. Sorry I don't trust anyone with the accent he had. Said all he needed was the account# on the bill. I don't think so.

they are with Public Power in danbury CT.  Call and complain to DPUC its the only they will learn

They call me all the time...They say they're from PSE&G...They sound like they're from India...I just hang up...I'm sick of it..............

They said the name is Public Power. They said that they were going to send me to a verication center. I said: "Hold on. You cannot send me to any verication center if I have not accept any service" I insisted several times to give me the phone number of the company to call them. Never did. The guy (maybe Indian accent) hung up.

Called me several times but we were not home no messages has been left on our answering machine we called back and the tel. recorded message says : your call can not be completed as dialed  please check the # and dial again >     This is totally marketers are calling   >   shame on uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu>

This # calls everyday, several times a day. They hang on the line & never say anything.  Sick & tired if it.

This number calls me all the time and I have told them to put me on the do not call list.  They sound like they are from India and want to talk to me about PSEG.  Total scam.

Yup, trying to sell you electric service.  Sounded like off-shore call center - heavily accented.  "Could I speak to the person responsible for the electric service?"  me:" No".  Them: "When would they be available?"  me: "I said "no" you can't talk to them!  Can't you understand English" and hung up...  I feel better now.

Is there any way to get a class action suit against these nuts...
We usually get 4 - 5 calls a day from them...enough is enough.

I got a call from this number. He was insisting that he would give me some verification number. I said I was busy, he insisted and said let me talk to your wife then. He was too pushy and did not sound as if he were with PSEG.

Getting repeat calls from this number but they never answer back and just hang up they called 5 times today. How do i stop this -North Jersey-

These calls are getting annoying and I'm calling my phone company to see if I can get the number blocked. This is really getting me pissed!

This number called me today late afternoon, but when I called back, it says "the number you called is not in service".

Got call from this number, he ask me if have con-edsion for electric company, I said no.  He said how you turn lights on, I said we have hamsters living a cage that when you feed them run around and turn the generator that give us power. He slammed the phone down.  Folks I am sick and tired of these sells calls, if enough of us play with them by saying stupid things they will get it and stop calling.
