Caller Identification (ID)

If you have caller ID, a telemarketer is required to transmit or display its phone number and, if available, its name or the name and phone number of the company for which it is selling products. The display must include a phone number that you can call during regular business hours to ask that the company no longer call you. This rule applies even if you have an EBR with the company, and even if you have not registered your home phone number(s) on the national Do-Not-Call list. Before these rules took effect, the words ?private,? ?out of area? or ?unavailable? might have appeared on the Caller ID display.

I've gotten a few of "Unknown Number" or other calls from someone who doesn't list their #.  I plan to report them!!!!  Check out the above link and learn what rights you do have!

Great!!!  About all we can do is contact the FCC.  They called me today but I didn't have my answering machine on & saw the # on my Caller ID.  I will contact the FCC and the Do Not Call registry if they call me again.  It just takes a minute to register these creeps with the FCC & DNC list...wish more people would do it!

How do you report these calls to the FCC?  I get three to four every day and I am tired of running to the phone to see who is calling.  My number is suppose to be unlisted - how do they get this information?  I am so irritated!!!!!!!!!  This is clearly an invasion of my privacy and I am really getting angry ANGRY.  I too am on the DNC list but obviously that is a joke.  Something has to be done to protect our right to peace and quite.  I so want to fight back.  My time is worth $ also!!!!!

Don't ever answer calls from unknown parties.  They may be trying to clone your number and run-up charges on your phone.

Got the same "lower your interest rates" call in mid Missouri. I pressed one as instructed and asked "Chelsie" for name of company. She said Associated Credit Services and then cut off the call. Busy signal if ya call the number back. Couldn't find much on internet, made complaint online to FCC. Don't know that they can do much.
No doubt it is a scam to get your credit card info.

This is the first call from this number.  I have received SEVERAL calls from 971-220-1019.  It seems these telemarketing calls are on the increase these days!

Keep calling, no message.  I am on the no-call list.

The company is called Card Services. They hang up on you mid-sentence when you ask them not to call you or if you mention that you are on the "do not call" list.

i got a call and spoke with someone who says they could help with my credit cards rates so of course they had my attention.

i have more then card so i ask what Bank they where calling from.  the person hung up.

Recieved a call from this number and when I called back got a pre-recorded message that the number was disconnected- been getting calls from this number for months and am on the Do Not Call List.

Just received ANOTHER call from this number.  They did leave a message advising me that my time to lower interest rates to 1% was about to expire and to speak with a live agent, just press #1 - NOT!
I will never answer these unknown numbers!!!!!

They keep calling me and i never answer. Never receive a voicemail however.

Received a call from this number twice. Both times I pressed 1 to speak to an attendant. It's a credit care company wanting to lower my credit card interest rates. Both times I asked to be removed from their calling list because I'm on the DNC registry list. Both times the caller insulted me and hung up. I guess it is their standard practice to insult you for wasting their time and letting them know they're breaking the law. I filed a complaint with the FTC.

Make it go away!  Lower cc rates.

Just received a call from this number. Pushed number one when asked Marcia why they keep calling my number when I do not have a credit card they just hung up.

This number called on cell....Did not answer...bcz a few wks ago a dif nmbr called & I called it bck....turned out to be from Jamaica.....was a big scam......trying to run up the phone bill or clone cell nmbrs.....I had reported the nmbr......Be very very cautious and DO NOT answer ANY nmbrs that come in if you do not recognize them....and definitey do not call any back......ythe bill was crazy expensive!!!   Not worth it......thankfully my phone co. took care of it, and I reported to FCC.

I have received 2 calls from this number today but have not answered. They have not left a voicemail.

Got unwanted call in Hawa from this number around noon today. Disturbed me on a conf call !!

Got a call from this number at 9:30am Hawaii Time. Didn't answer. Caller did not leave a message. So irritating!!!

Just got a call from this number(1682-235-1289) did not answer, on the DNC list.P

I also just got a call, got brave pushed 1 to talk with a live person, and 1 came on, when I said this number was on the DNC registry I got a "Whatever, F@*% You! and a hang up.  FCC complaint went in again 1 minute later.
