What a joke!  Glad I checked out his number here because he tried to hit me with 4 items for sale!

I am selling my furniture on Craigslist. This guy Jerry emails me stating that he is interested in the listed ad. He asked me to text him on 682-292-8370 with my final price. I did not respond
and forwarded his email to the phishing dept of craigslist.

Scam artist just tried it with me. "text me with your final price" How about F*** you Jerry" Beware of the Texas Number

Same thing.  "Jerry" wanted me to text him regarding my item on CL.  I didn't recognize the area code, so I looked it up and found that it was from Texas.  Then I Googled his number and immediately hit on this thread.  Thanks for saving me some aggravation, folks!

I got the same exact email but I didnt text him. I didn't even want him  to have my number. I responded  back thru Craigslist. If he replies back I shall send Him one oof these complaints. ..

Jerry sent me mail..lol my middle name is "cash". Sad ppl have to do this to others. I cannot.will not.shall not.get scammed EVER.  Guaranteed.

I've learned that whenever they use the word "this item" or "the item" or "final price", its usually a scammer.

October 25, 2013... got a message on Craigslist from a Jerry with this same phone number... wanted me to text him.  Googled the number and found this site!

take it to your police ,theyll know what to do , maybe they will use it to set him up

i have been plkaying this guy for last 4 days ,he was trying to buy a quad off craigslist off of me and sent me a cashier check ,ive gave all his info to detective and they are going to send the money and be waiting for the pickup ,they are working with westewrn union and moneygram ,i hope they get this a  hole i got scammed two weeks ago by a lady supposed name was lisa glenn and her email has barb on it ,well she emailed  and says she wants to come look at quad,well i sat up a day and she never showed ,the next day she emailed and said she had to go to arizona to be with her grandma who has cancer whos dying and she will send the funds and have a mover ,well she said she was deaf so could not talk on phone and even acted like it to the first time she called ,and sent me email and said sorry for not understanding her ,but she was deaf,well two days latewr i got a s t bank check and deposited it and told them i wanted it to clear before funds are put in ,i called bank 3 days later and said my funds were in my acct ,so i emailed them and sent them the moving money of 900 dollars ,then no response from her next day ,well i go to swipe my card and it did not work ,called the bank and they said check bounced ,i said what ,you were supposed to wait for it to clear ,they sdaid sorry ,we cleared it cause you had enuff funds in acct to cover it ,so now im trying to go after bank cause i specifaclly said i wanted it to clear first.,i got suckered bad ,she led me in with her having cancer and being deaf ,what kind of do  hbag really says that kind of sh  t ,hope they go to hell for saying those things ,so ive been playing this jerry guy anfd working with fraud detective to catch him ,this check he sent me was from larrys truck parts ,i called the company and they said the 240th person to call ,i really  hope they catch this scammer ,he just sent me a message now asking when funds are being sent ,but im not allowed to send anymore back ,the cops are doing it and going to send money  ,i pray he gets caught and snitches on all his accomplances ,thanks for listening to me blabber on

Received the check from this d-bag today and I'm glad I checked this before I took it to the bank. My only question is who should I report this to because he has my name address and phone number?

Aug 14, 2013 This same number 682 292 8370 responded to my ad in craigslist saying to text him with the final price using the same number. His name now is DAVE....oppps redflag im in illinois and his from texas..

Guy tried to buy my bicycle in Ann Arbor craigslist. Goes by Dave. Asked if the item was still available and to text. Wanted to send a certified check and have movers pick up. Thanks everyone for posting! Thank goodness I googled the #.

He now goes by Dave.

Same guy going by "Jay" is trying to buy stuff off craigslist as well as collect information.  He is also using numbers 347-619-2615 and 218-409-6398.

Craigslist emailed reply asking for me to text back to this number. Looks like a scam to collect information.

this guy emailed about my boat and wanted lowest price  he then told me he was sending me a cashiers check and would have his movers pick it up as he was in the middle of a job transfer  after I asked him for a pic of his dl and his info he wanted my full name and address instead   I just responded with you are a scammer and you have been reported   no response

I received a message for me to text him back with my final asking price.  He said his name was Jay.  I know it was fake.

he responded to an email on CL & the area code wasnt anywhere close to mine... except this time his name is Jay--I responded and said that # is a scam... we'll see if he responds!!!

I got exactly the same message from this Jerry with no. 682-292-8370.  He initiated the transaction by email me that he was interested in my ad, and to text the final price to this number.  After I texted him the price, he texted back that he would be sending me a check, and  once cleared, would send a transporter to pick up the item. Good that I checked out fora such as this and others regarding scams.

yea Jerry is trying the same crap w/ me ...I think im gonna call investigators and when his fake a** cashiers check comes in I will notify them ...I'm playing along with this idiot and making him think im the idiot ..lol

this #682-292-8370 just tried to send me a check for a CL listing when i agreed. but gave him none of my info I never got a tx back....

Same story here.  Called himself Jerry.  This do***e bag needs to be locked up.  Asked for certified check and then movers would come get my item.  I asked him if it would be best if I just sent him my social security and bank account numbers and skip all the semantics.  .. no response yet.
