SCAM ALERT:
"James" called from Technicians Online to tell me that their company, a group of Microsoft Certified technicians had detected that I had downloaded some dangerous software to my PC.

He said he was based in New York and that his number was 686-886-6886.  He sounded annoyed that I was asking where he was calling from.

I told him he should probably make sure the people he was calling don't work for Microsoft and he immediately hung up.
