Phone rang. Checked Caller ID. Didn't recognize the number.  Didn't answer.  Done.  No muss.  No fuss. Not much time taken up with nonsense.  
Didn't pick up to let the caller(s) know that it was a viable number. Didn't listen to find out what accent was used or what the purpose of the call was.  Didn't care then.  Don't care now.
Didn't get upset if the DNC was adhered to (I'm on it but scammers, who don't follow the DNC guidelines, will find ways to get around it) or what Obama is going to do about it.
I have a life and instead of getting bent out-of-shape, morally indignant, cursing and slamming the phone down, and making this a big deal (instead of the small irritant that I choose to make it), I move on with my life.  I'm in charge of what takes up my time.
That's just what I do. Simple.  More power for me and for you, if you follow my lead, right?

P.S.  The DNC IS working; otherwise, calls from legitimate charities, political action  
        committees, annual fundraising, and other businesses that ARE following the
        guidelines would be calling, also.

There was no message left.  I have no idea who it was or what it was about

Received a automated call about lowering my interest rates pressed 1 and they hung up on me

Call from 697-316-5054. Declined to answer. Blocking number with others I have blocked

This number called my husband.  He did't answer and they didn't leave a message.
When I googled the number, the 697 area code isn't valid in the US.

I got a call from this number too. When I called back I got a message that it was a non working number. Why is this still legal?

These people pretend to be a Credit Card Bank or Mortgage Company saying you bill is not paid call and give them all your information before you are reported to the Credit Bureau. Didn't work for me, I would NEVER 1 give my personal information over the phone and don't have a Mortgage.. THIS IS A HARRASSMENT SCAM to get your personal 411.. Don't fall for it!

Got a robo-call from a credit card services regarding my need to discuss lowering my interest rate on a credit card.  Options to press 1 for representative or press 2 to disconnect.  No information about what banking/credit card institution was calling.  Area Code 697 does not exist - Must be a Nigerian Royal Family's private Area Code.

received call indicating it was account services to lower credit card interest rate. Press 1 to speak to someone or 2 to hang up. I pressed 2.... I will block in case they call back.

Just paid off a car loan with Chase and started getting these calls, I didn't answer but I'm pretty sure they got my number from Chase.

Got a call from this number no message and the area code doesn't exist in the USA.

WONT STOP CALLING. Hangs up every time I get to a person trying to ask to be removed from call list. UGH. So annoying.

Just called me, I ignored the call and tried to call them back and it "could not be completed as dialed".

LAME-o's with no  life

Jerry Hernandez reportedly calling from Orlando, FL, representing that he works for "Credit Card Services," would not give me any more specific information when I probed him about his company.  He reports being associated with "Chase and Bank of America."

Likely a scam.

They are on a role today...I got the same message and before I could Google the number they had hung up..  No respectable CC company would do business this way.

Just got an unwanted call from  (697) 316-5054, which disconnected when I answered

just got it as well. was trying to anser but didnt pick it up in time. guess i was lucky

Received a recorded call stating they were calling from Credit Card Services and by pressing 1 I can lower my credit card interest rate to 6.97%.  Hung up.

These calls are bothersome. Make them stop.
