Got a call today from 701 217 1003.  Caller ID said Credit Services.  Did not answer phone.  Glad to know it was a telemarketer call.  Will continue to ignore call.

I got a call from this place within 12 hours of filling out info for the Burger King..win a free XBox 360..
as they did have a question if I was looking at going back to school..I also got calls from 213-289-5542, 817-697-3266 & 888-4550163...which I believe are a result of filling out the survey for that XBox promo at Burger King..watch out on this one!!

I had this number call my data/fax line at about 11:30 AM.  The call was terminated since it wasn't a fax machine.  I looked it up and all I got was that it came from a cell phone in Spencer, ND.

Clearly a fraudulent fishing scam to obtain personal info.

Who are these jerks?

Called on my business line and the next day on the house phone.  Didn't answer either time.

came up as credit services, told me that because of my excellent payment history i was eligible for a rate reduction. claimed he was from the head office of Visa and MasterCard, and was asking about my card starting with 3 or 4. when i told him i didn't have one with those numbers he told me " the f@@k you dont" i then said excuse me, to which he repeated himself and hung up

Offered an unsolicited reduced rate credit card. I asked to be removed from the call list and she hung up on me.

My son answered the phone and couldn't hear much but said yes..The lady or who ever was on there said thank you and hung up.

A waste of my time and I don't like it. Please stop calls from this number! Others report that it is from some sales company with an automatic dialer. Thought that was illegal.....

I thought I'd get some sanity back. Nope! they're starting again. Not getting nearly as many calls.....Yet, But Was up to 20 or more a day, some days 20-30. They leave no voice mail-ummmmmmmm. Wonder what they get out of it?

Just got a call from 701-217-1003 at 12:26 PM on Monday, December 27.
Did not answer.
When the answering machine picked up, they quickly hung up.

Hate these scammers.
Don't know if the police whistle will work, but, what the heck, I'm gonna try it.

Notifying the FCC in any fashion is a waste of time.  It's the government, after all.
Punching #1 or other phone keys is also useless.
The only way to deal with these calls, IMHO, is to have your phone company block them, if that service is offered.  If not, get a phone that has the ability to block calls.  I've been using the Panasonic KS-TG9341T remote phone for close to two years.  It allows me to block up to 20 numbers.  I find that after being blocked for a few attempt, trash callers stop calling and you can delete the block and use it for another number.

Give it a try - it works.

The web sites that advertise such things as "stop collection calls" are scams - usually phishing sites that want to gather your cell number and other info.  Avoid them.

They call 3 times a day. I just don't answer. I did get a legit call from similar and they left a message saying they were verifying purchases and to call back. Instead I called my bank to verify. It was legit but if in question, call the number or go into the place familiar to you. My bank did not ask for credit info just my name and birthdate.

These fools have called me on & off for 2 years. Even when I stay on the line & ask to be removed from the calling list. I only have 1 credit card with a very small balance. When you ask what CC company they work for, these idiots can not tell you if it's Visa, American Express, Discover or what. Yeah- right!! Major red flag!! ?

Thank you for proving my point.....one of the few times the FCC actually went after anybody, and they are STILL out there operating rather than being in jail, which is where they should be after the auto warranty scam, and this is after " Making Hundreds of Millions of Deceptive Calls to Consumers" and the post-card scam.

"Shut them down the next day"....everybody knows how long that auto warranty ripoff scam lasted, there was no "next day" about it. Nobody went to jail and the culprits kept most of their profits.

This scam company just will NOT stop calling.  I get calls maybe every other week.  I have played along and told them to STOP CALLING.  I have also filed complaints with the FCC.  This is so annoying. Like other people have said, they tried to get my SSN and total credit card information.

SPAM call -on do not call registry.

Hitting 1 does absolutely nothing except make them mad and the they call u back. I work for a company that calls for non profit organizations. When an idiot such as yourself presses 1, I just mark you as a callback and laugh at you. Oh, by the way there are some exemptions to the do not call registry look it up and READ it this time. And just so you know, If I get a call from a bill collector, I take the upper hand and tell them,"I'm not going to pay that" and hang up.  They are not ready for that one.

Go back and READ the do not call registry. There are several exceptions. People think the do not call registry will stop calss automatically. Nope, and once you ask to be taken off the phone list they have 31 days to make sure you are off all of their files.
