This phone number belongs to a public utility named CallerID4U, Inc. They have entered into revenue sharing agreements with telemarketers who make illegal unsolicited telephone calls. They profit directly from these outbound unsolicited telephone calls.
This appears to be a clear violation of a number of laws, including 16 C.F.R. §310.3(b) of the Federal Telemarketing Sales Rule.

Very Rude!!!When you press 1 to verify your google listing a person answers. When you ask if he is with google he says no. When you ask the name of the company he hangs up in your ear. Very Rude!!!

Yup! Same here... I answer they hang up. Probably a phone-bot checking for valid phone numbers.... then, you will start to get additional telemarketing and/ or political calls as well... just an "educated" guess!

A fresh number being used by a telemarketing/criminal posing as Google. They are not Google.
Put the caller ID name in your blocking equipment because I am sure they are going to be using dozens of different numbers.

Google automated voice machine call, press 1 to verify my listing press 9 to be removed from the list. Don't know if it's google or not it was a voicemail message. I don't press numbers never know who is calling.

FTC has said to NEVER press any number on robocalls. Hang up, press nothing, talk to no one. Report the number on the FTC's web site & forget about it. No honest business uses robocalls because they are illegal.. The idea is to get personal & financial information.

In my opinion it is simply another of the hundreds of automated trolling companies pretending to be Google in an attempt to build lists of potential customers. I'd imagine if you press 1 or 9 your phone number goes on to a list of suckers.
