They called me.  I keep hanging up on them and they keep calling.  Not a collections agency.  They are Spanish or something.

I rec'd a legitimate business call from this number. Calls are routed from Mexico thru a service in North Dakota. I apprears that is a discounted calling card of some sort. No issues on my end.

This # is a Voip (voice over the internet) connection server, it links voip calls from Mexico to US. You may get calls showing 701-265-9999 if someone from Mexico is calling your number or a similar one.

I got a call from my house in Monterrey. My home number is not that one but I guess when you make an international calls it connects to a number in the USA or something

I just got a call from this nuimber - it was El Cid resort in Mazatlan with a promotional deal. I think leonn is right - this is a gateway for Telmex

This is the number that showed up on the caller ID when my brother from Mexico calls me.... obviously this is not his number... is just the number that shows up.

Just got a call and voicemail from this number.  It's just the way they route calls from Mexico.

I also receives many calls from this number, only once they answered, but it was a male voice, claiming that he had calls from my phone to yours.

Got 2 calls from this # very late . . . 1 let go to voice make spanish male voice sighted and 2nd one nothing . . . is there a way to report this with all that is going on in Mexico is scary to have some one that I  HAVE no idea who it is to be calling me from MEXCO

This is just a numer... like Leonn said, TELMEX routes calls thru this number. No worries, relax

I got a call. Left no message. I have relatives in Mexico, but I never get a North Dakota Area code when they call.

This is the second morning in a row that I have received a call from this 701 number (usually around 0130-0200 hrs).  There has also been an UNKNOWN number as well as 356-568-2887 associated with it. I answered and the Spanish speaking lady on the other end wanted my name.  I told her that was funny because I needed hers and her company's name so I could forward that on to the FCC and Dept. Of Justice.  She said she was in Mexico and I informed her that the DOJ has a great working relationship with Mexico and she could either provide me her contact information or I would subpoena her during prosecution.  She started to panic and claimed "No comprende' English" and hung up.  I don't know anyone in Mexico, I don't know anyone who works at Taco Bell.  I don't even know how they got my work cell number but it would behoove them to cease and desist because you never know who the person on the other end works for ;-0

I am pretty sure that these are calls from Mexican payphones getting routed through this 701 number. My girlfriend called me from it, at first I didn't answer and googled it to get the origin and found this forum, soon after I got her voicemail. So yeah, for those who don't have any people they know in Mexico, clear case of a wrong number, and for those who do, it's just someone trying to get a hold of you. =)

Just got a call from this number.  The person on the other end waited about 30 seconds and then started singing "I would like to get to know you....."  So, I picked up the phone and said, "Yes." And they promptly hung up.  I then redialed the number and a recording came on to say it was a disconnected number.  Very odd.

same as all of you, reciving calls to my cell from this number, if its your cell and pick up they can track all the info you have wen you register the cell, then whit all that info they start tracking rest of important info you have whit you name and ss# , you dont have to be a hakr to now this is comon sense!

We got a call from this number over the weekend. We didn't pick up, and the caller left no message, but after reading the above comments, I think I know what is going on...

My husband, who is Mexican, has been calling his aunt from our house phone (where the number showed up on the caller id) using an el cheapo calling card from the Mexican tienda down the street. I am thinking that the call was either his aunt calling using the same type of card, which is routed through this N Dakota number (at&t calling cards route through Nebraska), or these super cheap cards have some sort of tracking that keeps the numbers where the calls using it originate and then they try to scam you. I think it's the former, though... it's a simple routing thing for a Mexican calling card.
