I'm getting these phone calls also and they have nothing to do with Bush, they have to do with your loser in chief so stop the "blame game" crap. They are supposed to be an intimidation. Each and every one of these phone calls are "selling" me a security system! Why? All of a sudden I am receiving multiple calls a day, every day, offering to sell me a "security system" that are unidentified and untraceable? Most of them are "unknown name, unknown number"! Finally today they called with a number that stated the call was from a political organization! Since I AM NOT a teleprompter reader supporter and they don't identify themselves, and this president has a history of attacking political opponents, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who would be making subliminal unidentified threatening phone calls.

JUST IGNORED IT AS DON'T KNOW ANYONE WITH A CELL PHONE IN ND, SO EITHER ELECTION OR SPAM. LET IT GO T MACHINE. HANG UP. WHEN WILL THESE PEOPLE AND THIER INTRUSIVENESS LEARN!

This number called at 12:21 pm, went to my voice mail, they hang up.  Not appreciated.  When you are on the Government NO CALL LIST, this should be followed and these people should be fined.

this site is so helpful. wasn't home to answer this call on 9/12 @ 5:28PM.  go thru my caller ID using this site. came in as a cell phone. I don't even trust messages from my credit card companies. >I< call them on my own.

Robo-caller telemarketer hawking home alarm systems. How ironic is that? Why would I buy an anti-crime device from a criminal who ignores the do-not-call list? Caller ID says UNKNOWN NAME.

I'm not sure what phone company you are with,but my ATT coverage allows for a reject caller list of 10 numbers only(I wish it were more but oh well).Dial *60 and follow the instructions given,and you can type in any number you do not wish to recieve a call from.I does help a little.The instructions explain how to add and remove numbers from the list,and will repeat the list to you upon request in case you wish to pick one out.

Sales call (though recording said "not a sales call") for a home security system.

Ish, Don't even start with the "blame" bush bs! This law was originally H.R. 395 of the 108th Congress, and codified at 15 U.S.C. § 6101 et. seq.), sponsored by Representatives Billy Tauzin, Louisiana (D 15 years then R) and John Dingell (D Michigan) and signed into law by President George W. Bush on March 11, 2003. These frauds escalated when the current scammer/narcissist from Chicago got elected! Since 2008 we have received 100+ calls from every kind of scam imaginable including shady collection companies claiming we owed fictious debts trying to intimidate for personal information to these people claiming we need to call them because we don't have insurance on our "structure" and we need to call them even if it isn't our structure to get our name taken off their list! What is scary is you actually believe what you are saying, the obvious party that you are affiliated with, and that you will actually be allowed to vote without a competency test. Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.

I got a call yesterday from this number 701 301 4001 and it was wireless.  If I do not recognize the caller, it does not get answered, just like an email that I do not know who it is.  I have Century Link land line and I have a number to put numbers on a no call list and this works.  It gives me peace of mind to know that I will not get called again with that number or any other numbers that I put on the list.

I receive this "robo" call at least once a day.  Today twice, and it is not even 2 oclock afternoon yet.  I have hit "9", which is suppose to put me on their do not call list, half a dozen times.  So, obviously, that doesn't work.  Twice, I asked to speak to someone but hitting "1" which got me a young man, real friendly, saying something like, "so you need help with a security system?"  Both times I said, "LOOSE THIS NUMBER!!!" and they quickly hung up.  Land lines are like "dinosaurs", predator dinosaurs, used more often to take advantage of the person paying the monthly bill than for any other purpose.  I'm afraid the government puts a low priority on this type of nuisance problem, having much "bigger fish to fry".  I also am on the national "DO NOT CALL", which is no more than a mean joke on consumers.

I get these calls almost daily- I tell my family to never answer when it shows up. Something should be done about the criminals. This is getting to be ridiculous when you can't even answer your own phone.

They call every day, from different area codes.  Yesterday and today were from the 701 area code.  Since these b****eads are the most obnoxious lately, they got added to the "call block" on my phone.  Had to delete another, less obnoxious number to do so; my call block is full.  If I find out where these nefarious aswipes are, they WILL go offline!

This phone number called my house yesterday (9/11/2012) at 12:10pm and again today (9/12/2012) at 12:31pm. I don't normally answer phone calls from numbers I don't recognized, but I'm so sick of getting these types of calls that I answered it today. I picked up and it was a recording about some kind of home alarm system and they wanted to put a sign in my front yard. It said "For more information press 1." so I did and waited for a live person to come on. A guy came on the phone and said, "Good afternoon. (I don't remember the exact name) Home Alarm Systems. How may I..." That's when I cut him off and said ,in a very stern voice, "Take this number off of your phone list and stop calling now!" Do you know what he did? He hung up on me! HOW RUDE!!! Hopefully we won't be getting anymore phone calls like that because I just reported them to the FCC. We are on the DO NOT CALL list and they should NOT be calling here! I tried to report it to the Do Not Call Registry, but their website is screwed up or something because it wouldn't take my phone number.

Oh, and be on the look out for phone calls from 206-496-0929. That one has been calling here a lot too. More than this one. I answered it one time and it was the same recording for a home alarm system. I reported the calls from that one to the FCC too.

It was a recorded message, claiming that I was "referred to by a friend or neighbor to receive a free security system!"

It's a scam to get you to let them come to your place so they can either sell you useless crap or so they can case your house for valuable stuff to steal later.

They are scammers out to steal your credit card information and personal identifiable information. Dont call the number back and do not press any numbers during the call. That will only just validate your number to be sold to other criminals and for more calls.

Ignore the call and report to the appropriate authority. DO NOT EVER, NEVER EVER, give out personal information over the phone. Seriously! Expecially not credit card information, home address, or personal identification numbers. Seriously. Read your state's laws and federal laws. Never give out personal information over the phone.

Warn the elderly and the vunerable about this scam. Blocking number is useless, they own a block of them and they will use another. 4002 is same. They are a network of criminals, mostly operated by foreign suspects. The FBI is working on it, so please continue to report to the DNC list and other appropriate authorities.

Know the signs!
1) Weird caller ID, always out of area or unknown number.
2) ALWAYS a robo calls. They are illegal. Always some gimic.
3) All numbers are invalid. 100% illegal.
4) No company information is provided. Clear sign that its a criminal operation and 100% illegal.
Report and warn.

If you feel or know of anyone who has been dooped by this scam, PLEASE IMMEDIATELY CONTACT YOUR LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT AND REGIONAL FBI AGENT. Follow through by contacting your financial institution as well.

Never ever, EVER, seriously folks, never ever, give out personal information over the phone. Seriously, not even home address or name, espcially not credit card information or personal identification numbers. Just dont do it, NEVER.

If you recieved one, you will recieve many more. Foriegn criminals out to steal your credit card information and ID. They use computerized robo dialers. Pressing one (Do NOT DO) forwards your number to a criminal operation center. These people dont care about you or the law. All they want to do is steal. SADLY, there is a saying, a sucker is born everyday, and sadly enough there is a fool everyday who falls for this scam.

Know the signs folks. They are easy and identifiable.
1) THEY ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS call from a number outside your calling area or from a unrecongizable number.  DONT PICK UP, REPORT THE NUMBER TO THE APPROPRIATE AUTHORITY AND DO NOT PRESS ANY NUMBERS. The numbers are all faked and they own a block of the numbers. 4002 will get you to the same criminal organization.
2) It is always a scare tactic/unrealistic gimic to doop you. Robo calls are illegal. Beware of home warranty, card services, auto loan, poltical calls, surveys, polls, etc.
3) Never press any button, NEVER EVER call them back. You will validate your number to be active.

Just ignore the call, WARN OTHERS and please report. The DNC List does work, as well as your state's department of Consumer Affairs and Attorney General's Office.

They will keep calling as long as they continue to doop people. WARN OTHERS. They will use a variety of numbers from across the country that are all fake. Blocking number is completely useless, *57 to trace the call.

I will be "blacklisting" this caller, never to hear from them again, until they spoof another number to call from.  Just about anybody can spoof the their "caller ID".  I agree with previous comments, the US Do Not Call List is a joke.  In less then two years my Android device has blocked 343 unwanted "Blacklisted" calls, these are all repeat offenders!!!  I have been on the DO NOT CALL LIST since inception.

Just got a call from this number while on a business conference - didn't pick it up because it had no caller ID and I didn't recognize it. Glad I didn't interrupt my call to pick up.

get repeated calls.   i pick up speaker phone but do not answer.   at least i 'spend' a minute of their time. they do not speak/identify themselves.   this is getting to be a daily thing.   how can we block these calls?

Comes up Cell Phone ND 701-301-4001. Called it back, says it's a Political Organization and they are EXEMPT from the National Do Not Call List. Had to listen to the "auto voice" then press 1 to get off their list.....it may take 24hr to be verified....So ridiculous!

If this helps one person I guess it worth it.  The public doesn't seem to understand the Do Not Call Registry.  The U.S. Government only has jurisdiction over matters here in the states.  Many unwanted calls originate outside the borders of the USA and therefore the Do Not Call Registry does not apply.  There are also excemptions to the Do Not Call Registry for certain entities.  Look on the Do Not Call Registry website to see what they are.  The DNCR does help but will not, and can not, stop all unwanted calls.

I received a call from this number today; no message was left.

I am registered on a do not call (gov) list for my landlines.
Despite running from the garden, I missed the call.

My son is missing, so I answer every call !
I redialed & a recording "instructed" to unblock my phone's incoming information.
