701-552-9491 called my business issued government phone where we get charged for in-coming minutes.  The call was some sort of recorded offer for installing home security systems that was in no way related to valid citizen requests.  So this company is spamming goverment issued mobile phones and wasting our goverment tax-dollars.

I've been getting this call several times a day and it's dead air.  I lay the phone down and it finally disconnects. so irritating! I ain't got no time for dat! LOL

My caller ID says FIA Card Svc

Caller ID spoofing.  

They have simply hijacked this number to show up on the caller ID which tells you exactly what type of organization this is.

If having  people report and complain about these calls annoys the crap out of you then WTF are you doing on this website, genius?  

These callers are disrupting businesses with hangup calls and/or continue to call daily even after being told that we are not interested.  Not answering the phone in a business office is not always an option.  I can't imagine why you are defending such behaviour unless you take part in it yourself???

Magazine vendor,  My call was specifically Machine Design

You people annoy the s*** out of me the way you whine and moan about this.  This is like complaining about seeing a billboard or an ad in a magazine.  Simply put, DONT ANSWER THE PHONE if you don't recognize the number.  This is most likely the subscription service for a free industrial magazine.  You can always simply say, "No, Thank You" instead of hiding.  Oooh, a free magazine.  Big f****ng conspiracy.

Called our company every day, sometimes they do not even speak and hang up. The times that they do speak they ask for someone who isn't working at our company. They are looking to renew your magazine subscription, in this case it was for Machine Design. I told them to take us off their call list as the person does not work here.

Calls asking for an employee that past away 2 months ago. Prior to that, we told them we weren't interested, place us on their DNC list, and stop calling.  Shockingly! they're still calling. Asked them again today to be placed on their DNC list. Not holding my breath.

rewcieved a call from this no. my no. is on the do not call list. they did not leave message.

Please tell me why I registered my number to prevent these annoying calls.

I received a missed call on my cell phone from this number. Most of the free trade magazines outsource renewals to an overseas call center. The U.S. area code is typically 701. Although the calls can be annoying, they are legitimate. The simple thing to do is to let them know (1) you only renew online, and (2) you want to be placed on their do not call list. Note: If you receive multiple trade magazines and catalogues, this procedure will have to be done for each one.

I am getting phone calls daily from this number - 701-552-9491, Fargo, ND. No one answers when I pick up and no one answers when I call them back, just background music plays. I am tired of getting called by this number!

I've received call from this number 3 times. I  haven't answered and they don't leave a message. I am on the "Do not call " list and I keep receiving calls. From what everyone is saying its a scam. Why doesn't the" Do not call" list working?

HANG UP HANG UP HANG UP... These people drive me crazy!  Called our company asking for the Traffic Director.. wanted to update his subscriptions.  I said he is not interested.. she said administration and support.  She sounded Asian so I'm guessing another country, as usual....  I sent her to a woman in HR who loves to get rid of these people.

I seem to remember the initial calls that came in from 701-552-9491 with "FIA CARD SER" up on the caller-id were ones where the people actually pretended to try to get ahold of someone at my company. Now, they just call me once per day and there is no background noise and no one says anything at all to me. Today, I decided to call them back (like one of the posters here says they like to do), but after a couple of rings, it switches to hold music. I stayed on hold for about 60 seconds before giving up. It's one thing to be an obnoxious telemarketer. It's a whole other thing to just call people for the sake of harassing them. I mean, it's a lot cheaper for large companies, but it's not like it's free to make long distance calls!

They repeatedly call and leave no message.

How to stop this call? I get everyday!

I can?t understand her - I was silent ? give them a taste of their own medicine ? I call them every few minutes ? everyone do the same

im trying to block them too.. was on universal don not call but that seems to have expired so now all the pain in the a***s are back.. they call during the day when im at WORK A+HOLES... i called back and only got their bad MusAC.. a half a ring and then back to bad musAC.. i cant even tell them not to call me anymore... THEY ALL SUCK..

No, So-&-So is not available. No, there isn't an assistant. No, there isn't an office person who can authorize the renewal. You'll call again later. Right. And I'll tag your number as "Magazine Drone" so I know not to answer in the future. Best of luck. Bye-bye now.

Spoke to a woman, with a LOT of noise in the back round. Couldn't make out the name of the company she
is calling from but it is in regards to a free trade magazine for material handling and or production.

She asked for the former owner by name. Told her he is no longer with the company.
She then asked "Can I have your first & last name?"  I said 'no you can not'.
She then wanted to verify the mailing address. An old PO box.
Told her, no, we haven't had a PO box in a long time.
After her long and drawn out script, she asked if someone else in the office would like to receive the magazine
Told her no thanks.
