I called them back today and held on until I got a live person.  They want to renew a magazine subscription.  She told me the name of her company three times but I could not understand her.  I told her until they could learn to leave messages they could stop calling me.  

I called them back and blasted them a very clear message to stop calling me after they called 4 times. Of course, I am reporting this to the FCC via their website:

I wish more people would file complaints with the FCC at http://www.fcc.gov/complaints.  That would help stop these nuisance calls. My phone number is on the Do Not Call list and they called us; leaving no message. This is in direct violation of the law and I reported the company's phone number to the FCC.

This number would have four calls come in at the same time from the same number. It was very frustrating, it happened at least three times today. They are calling to renew a free subscription to Machine Design magazine. I don't see why they have 3-4 people calling our company at the same time. There is only one receptionist! I wish it would stop!

"Free" magazine subscription.  Mispronounced the owner's name and asked for his email address as well as the address for the business.

Some guy who could barely speak english calling to sell us a mag subscription that is FREE...trying to verify addresses and such. Click on my part. Then they called back and hung up. I called them, let them go through their spiel and hung up...three times.

Just missed a call from this number on my cell phone. Called back and all I heard was music. second time.

Same thing here.  No message; just a dial tone.

unfortunately, if you're in my position the call must be answered regardless of the caller ID/phone#

Luckily, I have a phone that displays a name and/or number when a call comes in. If I don't recognize it or if it says "unknown", I simply ignore it or look it up on wonderful sites like this one. I also have voice mail, so if it's important they will leave a message; if not, c'est la vie!

If you don't have these handy features on your phone, get them. They've been around for some time and the cost is minimal. Once you train yourself not to feel obligated to answer a phone just because it rings, your life will have more meaning and the "frustration" will end. After all, you own it, not the other way around. In other words, don't be a phone slave!

I figured it was the same d****eads trying to talk to me about a publication that I receive. You know the ones who get down to the DNA of your ancestors that came over on the freakin' Mayflower. If it came to my cell phone, it would be a simple matter of me telling them to go blow themselves. I never answer calls from people I don't know, from conference rooms, program managers or anyone the receptionist forwards to me.

calling about a free magazine, and wanted my employer's info. I kept asking asking them to repeat what they said, partly to throw them off, and partly because of the noise from their calling room.

I missed several calls from this number and they did not leave a message. I picked up the next time they called and it was a magazine subscription renewal service for a trade journal that I discontinued a long time ago.

Caller pretended to be Office Swanson from he Montgomery County Sherrifs office asking to speak with & to clear pending charges/complaints.  OR ELSE!!!  Warrant for arrest!  Phew I am trembling...NOT!  MFG

This North Dakota number keeps calling my cell no. (don't know how they got my no.) and are pestering me every few hours.  I don't do business in N. Dakota so don't answer.

I just called the number back, and my phone hung up automatically, after the person on the other end answered and didn't say anything. Weird.

This is insane, and I think there should be a law against this kind of behavior!

Caller wanted to update "free" subscription info to Hydraulics & Pneumatic magazine.  Told her we did not get the magazine.  She said we did and it's FREE.  I said we don't and we do not need another useless publication that will end up in the recycle bin.  It has nothing to do with our industry.  Geez ... I sure am tired of these calls.

Yep, bunch of ding-dong-ditch phone calls with nice elevator music.  Overseas operator that hangs up on you mid speak.

Sales call, sales call, sales call. Asked for an employee & lied stating that they were expecting the call. Hung up.

Two calls to my work.  No real person but some nice elevator music when automatically put on hold.  It rings again and then gives me back music.  No more time to waste on this but if I ever DO get a real person, I'll make sure to give them hell for contacting me.

magazines--not interested!

called but didn't answer when I picked up. I called them back, and all I heard was waiting muzak.

Yep!  Some trade mag wanting a survey to continue the subscription.

Got calls from this number two and three times daily, for several weeks.  She always asked for the same person, who I always said was not available.  In addition to the company name, I identify myself by name when I answer the phone, so after a few weeks she started hanging up on me.  I jotted down the number from caller ID and kept it by my phone.  The next time she called, I simply said "Hello", and she asked for the same person.  I said nobody here by that name, then she asked for the safety manager.  I said you must be calling a business, but this is a residential number, please remove it from your database.  I haven't heard from them since!

just blocked them.

It is a company called ADF Global Inc out of bizmark, ND.
They are calling to verify information for free magazine subs.

I just call my cell company and block these calls.
