I too have received many calls after signing up both internet and phone service with Qwest. Same as all of you, I answer it and there is no one there. I call it back and its a non working #. I want to say (now I could be incorrect) Its ADT Home Security.

When I first started to receive the calls I was able to call it back and it was ADT I declined there services and requested my # be takin off there list. Luckily for me that's the only # that calls my home.

I left Comcast for Verizon last week...already three different telemarketing calls despite the do not call list...including this one.

Got the same call today..I am on the "Do Not Call List" and a Comcast customer. I have had the new number for about a week or so. This is nuts. I had Magic Jack and had problems with that..whats up?

Moved to VA, registerd my number with the natiaonal do not call list.  This is not the first call.

A ROBO call from 701-661-1691.  "We will be in your area installing security systems dial 1 to connect to an operator."  I don't think so!

I too keep getting a call from this number and there is no one there...seems crazy. Second, only had the number for 3 weeks. will put them on the do not call list.

Us too and we are also comcast customers! I bet they do sell our numbers.....wouldn't be surprised. I registered with the Do Not call registry this morning though. Funny cause we've had the service for 2 weeks now, but having just moved and movers packed all our stuff this time, we JUST found our landline phones. So, this morning I log in to our email and voicemail and see that we have TONS of calls from this number and Chicago Tribune, an alarm company, service center and a few others I have no idea what they are.

Same issue, except with a different cable company offering phone service.  I'm also in the trade and had received assurances that the new number they gave me on transfering phone services (had to change address and rate centers when i moved) would follow the no-solicitation list my original account was on.  Obviously it failed.  The first business day after install, to today (four days), 18 telemarketing sales pitch calls (and three political calls).

Currently in a fight with senior marketing management regarding lack of follow-through on the installation team's and order entry's team's forthrightness.  I had added my numbers to the no-call lists three weeks before turn-up and made the cut-off for October's lists.


Your telephone company MUST by law, put you on a no-solicitation list if you request it but only if you request it.  They also cannot sell the no-solication list numbers.

Me too.  Moved in 3 weeks ago.  Came home today and had 5 telemarketer calls, 4 from this number.  Out of curiousity, who's your phone service provider?  Mine is Comcast.  Wondering if Comcast is selling a customer list?

Me too! We've had our new number for about 9 days and we've already had 18 telemarketer calls. This particular number has called FOUR times tonight already. When I answer no one is there.

I just turned on my phone service, brand new number and have received many calls from this number!
