got a call from this number and when i called back it stated if i did not want to be on their calling list to press one. i did and we will see what happens. friggin' scammers

Just received call from the above number.  Did not leave a message.  I call the number back there was recording which stated if you are not interested in receiving future calls and want to be placed on DNC list press one, which I did.   I guess we will see if it is true!!!

Received call with no one at other end

got a call from a number i didn't recognize, left no voicemail (i wonder why not).  Based on previous experience i googled the number, found this, and therefore decided not to answer it.  The last time i piced up such a call, they robodialed me every day for the next two weeks.  Tip: if you keep getting calls from the same number, and can't easily block a number with your cell company, then your handset should at least allow you to save the number in your phonebook and assign a specific ringtone for it.  Just assign it to a null or silent ringtone, and you shouldn't be bothered from that number again.

I got a call today 3/10/11 at 4:46pm on my cell phone.  They are auto dailing saying I won a home security system to press 1 for a Representative.  When I told them they were auto dailing my cell phone and to remove me from their calling list they hung up.

Called in on my cell phone saying my family has been specially chosen to receive a home security system at no charge, blah blah blah, clicked 2 to be taken off their list, but we'll see what happens

im thinking that its a scam to get some card info and sensitive info from older people or people who may not be to the wise of phone scams. reported.

I can't say for sure, but I received a call from this number today, and I have no connection to ADT at all. As far as I know, ADT would not have my number.

calls cell phone even though Im on the do not call list.  several calls. I just dont answer but getting sick of them calling all the time

I got the call and did not bother answering, message was blank. Added to my reject list and blocked the number.
I use an Android phone that has a reject list, which in addition to goggle voice allows me to block numbers like these. The next time they call they will hear a message " beep beep beep We are sorry this number has been disconnected ..."

I started getting calls form this number as well, telemarketers or collection scam.  BB users, add phone number to address book, then Add Custom Ring Tone , set to Mute.  I label the phone numbers as Spam, so I don't here them ring and later when checking calls it's easy to identify the call.  

What happen to all the promises from Obama and Fed's to clean up this industry.

Automated call informing me of a winning a sweepstakes of some sort. I'm hung up before the message finished. I hate these calls.

These people deal in phone numbers of those who have had credit problems in the past.  They often act as bill collectors and tell you that you've won something so that they can get your new address and place of employment.  They say you can press 1 to be connected to a live person or press 2 to be removed from their calling list.  This is a scam - if you press 2 they will sell your phone number as being "recently confirmed."  Please report these calls to your local phone provider.  The best revenge is to keep these people on the phone for as long as possible.  Waste their time like they waste yours.  It's OK to lie to them because their business is based on fraud and deceit.

Business has lobbied our Republican friends to no longer enforce DO NOT CALL.  If your phone is ringing off the hook with scammers and idiots calling, then you can thank the Republicans.

Robo calls are against the FTC rules. Report them to the FTC at the "donotcall"ist. Maybe someday they will crack down.

I called back and pressed 1. Thanks for sharing! I kept getting hang-up messages or no response and it was quite annoying.
