RECEIVED A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER...FEMALE VOICE ASKING, " DO YOU MISS YOUR DADDY?" LITTLE CHILD'S VOICE IN THE BACKGROUND.

Contact his cell provider.  They may be able to block the calls.  

Or put the number in his contacts list and assign it the ring tone "no ring".  That won't stop the calls but it will make them easier to ignore.

My 13-year-old son has been receiving calls on his cell.  These people are creeps.  His phone has been on the Do not call registry from the day he got it, but I guess scam artists don't care. . .

Always ending with the same last 4 digits "8989". I never pick up, just send them straight to voice mail, but when I did look them up individually, which is every time they call me, it seems like they are the same people calling...Spanish Telemarketer of a sorts. I barely got a new phone and number and they already called me in the 802 number. They need to stop!! Just a heads up to everyone in here.

This number just called me, too. Did not answer.

Called my cell, hung up when I answered.  Called back and the number was out of service.

Got a missed call from that number. The phone didn't even ring, and there was no message. When I called back, there was a voice saying that the number is out of service.

I just got a call from (701) 934-8989 and got a recording in Spanish.

This number has called my house and my cell. I didn't answer when they rang my cell. My mom answered when they called the house and said that they told her she's won a prize of a "free vacation" and were trying to get her credit card number. My mom is getting up in age and I worry about people like this talking to her when she's home alone. They prey on people like her. If this number calls you, save it in your phone as SCAM or DO NOT ANSWER.

Got the phone call on my cellPhone and ignored. Thank you for your posts. I have set them as one of the multitude of numbers under my  "Ignore" contact that goes straight to voicemail. I love that feature. :)

Just got a call from that number while recharging my cell phone. Since I had no idea who it was, I didn't answer, and I didn't attempt to call back since I suspected it was a scam.

These fkers keep wasting our time. How could we shut them down?!

Called and I didn't answer.  No message.

Missed a call from this number.  No voicemail, and when I try calling back, the message is that the number is either disconnected or changed.

Spanish speaking. Called my pre-paid cell phone. I should not have answered. Weasels!

Also got a call from this number, didn't answer because I couldn't reach my phone in time, but I'm wondering how they got my number in the first place.  Very strange, I live in Oklahoma, but am applying to school in Fargo and have corresponded with some people in that 701 area code.  I thought it might be from the college, but they left no message, so I guess it wasn't.  Just seems oddly coincidental that I get a random spam call from the same area code I've been contacting recently.  Maybe it is just a coincidence, but still seems funny, or I'm just paranoid!

Called at 9:10 AM January 15, recorded message in Spanish. I get one of these about every six months for that past couple of years.

They just called my cell phone too, but like so many of you that have already been harrassed by this caller, I never answer the phone if it's a number I don't recognize. No message - thanks for confirming my suspicions on this number all.

Didn't answer the phone due to being in a car in a state where you can't hold a cell phone up to your ear and drive at the same time. Also lacked places to pull over to answer, but they didn't leave a voicemail or anything. Called me a SECOND time when I didn't pick up the first time.

I got a call from this number and like Staci they left no message. I called it right back and I got a message telling the number is out of service.

This company keeps changing phone numbers.  I've gotten them from Maine, Cali, ect.  I've reported it about 5 times to the do  not call registry.  They shut down that number and the spammers get another.  There's nobody there to tell them to not call you again and you never get a company name.

They called stating I won $1000.00 and to dial 1 to claim my price. Not true!
