I've been getting calls from these jerks for at least a year now.  They usually call 3-4 times a week and always from a 702 area code.  I have started to have some fun with them though, I usually like to try their sales pitch right back at them.  I'll answer the phone "Hello Sports Fan", and feed them the same crap they give me.  That or i'll put them on hold until they hang up.

Jimmy Spats is actually a very reputable and successful sports handicapper who actually won the Las Vegas Hilton World Championship of Sports Handicapping.  Most guys are BS but Spats is the real deal if you are willing to pay for the info,  Just remember that no one is always right so take that under consideration if you do play !

Same here... the ONLY place I EVER gave my cell number to while in Las Vegas was at Binions Steak House. Someone on the inside there is selling the phone numbers to these scammers. Are you listening Binion's?

I have a company provided phone and they keep calling me.  I don't know if the guy that had the number before me was a gambler or what.  I always answer the phone giving my company name along with my name so they call me by name like we are friends.  I have asked them to remove me from their list but they keep calling.  I have memorized their number now so I just don't answer it.

Jimmy Spats is definitely a scam artist.  He scammed a close friend of mine.  His company, Real Sports, Inc (and they use other fictitious names) targets people with compulsive gambling issues (nobody else could possibly fall for their bs)... they tell you if you pay them for information, you'll win on your gambling bets.  They scammed my friend out of hundreds of thousands of dollars, unfortunately.

They KEEP calling and harassing me. Rude too. They repeatedly tell me they are taking me off the list, so they are liars.

This number 702 212 8487 belongs to Jimmy Spats, a sports  handicapper. They tried calling me today to sell me some sports picks that they said wouldn't lose. I told the sales guy that I wasn't interested because I have been scammed too many times by these kinds of companies. He was very persistent. When he finally realized I wasn't going to pay him the $99.00 dollars he wanted from me he said "good luck to you" and hung up on me very abruptly.

I know almost all handicappers are no good scam artist but can anyone tell me what they know of this guy Spats? Is he a scam or not and if he is a scam can you tell me what the scam is etc....

These are lowlife scumbags sports handicappers. (So they say they are, lol)... Take it from me, you will be getting calls from them forever now, from different 702 numbers.  I block them every call, and they always call back from another number. Lowlife jerkoffs scam artists, dont fall for their bs salespitch.  lol   just f..k around with them on the phone like I do.. last time they called I told them to hold on...  dropped my pants and just kept on farting until they hung up!! I was cracking up!!  do it, its fun and it annoys them!!!

got a text from them(i think it was same) as well.  Think it may have started when I made a diner reservation at binion's steakhouse.  I gave tham my cell number.

Phone calls have been coming for months now.

Received a call to our company and as soon as I finished with our company greeting, the man on the other end of the line said that he was looking to speak with the "sports fan".  (I wasn't sure if this was a customer or family member of one of our employees joking around or not)  I advised that I wasn't sure which person that they were looking to speak to at our company, to which he just stated that his name was "Rick Foss" and that he was calling from Las Vegas, told me to have a good day and hung up the phone.  It was a very strange call as our company is in Upstate NY - wondering if they just had a wrong number...

Very fishy.  They call to recruit me for NCAA betting in Vegas.  I was not the name of the person that they looking for but they kept on going trying to get me to sign up.  

I then use my Google phone to call them back and there is some body answer the phone.  I said "yo, got some betting tonight?" and he said yea.  He wanted me to bet and ask if I bet on nickle or dime.  I know nickle or dime means something and I didn't know what to say so i said $20 bucks.  The guy was surprised and ask if I normally do local or offshore so I hang up.

I keep getting betting calls but have never ever placed a bet.
