Listed and sold my car on Kijiji Toronto - then 3 weeks later my mobile phone rings and there is a beep and the line goes dead. It seems these scumbags have set their sights on Canada.

YEa. This is a risk to post your number to a public forum. There is another board that has the same stuff on it w/this same number. The do not call list won't do a damn thing, since they are fishing the numbers out of the public domain. Just give them a ear full when they call you (if anyones ever on the other end) lol

Some idiot called me today, from this number (702) 221-0347, at 5:02 pm 8/18/2011, and tells me that they finance cars for people and that they have a long list of buyers for cars like the one I posted on craigslist.  

Said that he wanted to send buyers out to look at my $12,000 2007 Pontiac G6 GT.   And would I pay a deposit.  Told him I wasn't going to pay a deposit for anything and to go f*** himself, before I hung up on him.  All kinds of scum bottom feeders out there laying in wait to find a neive or greety victim.

Called number and voice mail said "welcome to one stop motors", please leave the name and year of your vehicle and we will get back to you".

My ad is on AutoTrader, not CL.  Didn't answer because I didn't recognize the 702 area code.  And haven't yet received a message.

I got a call from this number as well.  I let it roll to v/m, but no message.  Like most of you, I had my car listed on CL.  I typically don't post my phone #, but I put it in an ad for 48 hours (now deleted) and this the second "mystery" number that has contacted me.

listed an old truck on craig's list now this number keeps calling me 702-221-0347 - will be reporting to the RCMP since I live in Canada and this is a US number.... also had 2 emails from people wanting to ship a 750.00 truck abroad. BEWARE OF SCAMMERS!!!! if they can't come to your house with cash tell them to take a hike

Easy fix. I am selling a car, listed on AutoTrader.  The scam artists like this always come out.  I got a spare phone number from my voip service for $5 a month, it is the number in the ad.  No calls to this number ring a phone. It goes directly to voicemail with a description of the car again and an opportunity to leave a call back number.  I only call back legitimate private party inquiries. These guys have called 3 times from different numbers so far, only left 1 message. I don't call them. They never get to talk to a live person. When the car is sold, the number is disconnected. My phone never rings and they can't bother me after the car is sold either.  Think about that the next time you place an ad in ANY public forum with a phone number.

this is their  scam picking craigslist ad's at random(all states) and having there automated system call people asking if they want to buy a car or have one that they can sell for you.
they did change there menu and offered a "remove number from list option"

Based on all the complaints I've read here, they must have found my number on autotrader since I listed a truck last week.

Everytime I post a car on craigslist for sale, these moorans will call right away, and wants me to pay them to sell if for me, I asked them to pay me half of what they charge and I can sell their F***ING company so they could stop harrasing people. She said she doesnt need that, I was like WTF makes you stupid C**T think I am gonna pay you to sale my shitt. I told her if they call again, I will call the FBI and file a complaint againts them, havent got any calls yet, but I am sure next time I post something they will call again.

I have a motorcycle on Craigslist and they seem to want to call me at will.  I called them and a woman answered.  I stated that unless they are willing to pay for my monthly cell number they better F****** lose my G**D*** number.  Then I said a few things to bring her to tears and probably blew out her ear drum with a few more obscenities while I was at it.

But hey, if they are willing to waste my time, I am willing to make them second guess their B***S*** career choice.

Caller ID stated company name is "One Stop Motors". Same scenerio as above...stole my number from an ad off of Craigslist where I'm selling something. They are ruthless. Sick of the calls. Wish Craigslist would enforce the no solicitation clause...

Add another complaint to the list, I just posted a car ad on mustangtradersonline yesterday and they are calling today. What can be done to block their calls.

Called back from caller ID.  Woman answered and asked if my item from Craigslist was still for sale.  Clearly some kind of scam; I did not answer when she asked my name.

I'm in the do not call list and have been for over a year. I have a note at the bottom of my add saying it is not ok to call me unless you are interested in purchasing my item!!!

The do not call list seriously isn't worth a crap.

Calling randomly and never answering when I pick up the call.

This company phoned (automated)  and offered to buy our car that is listed on Craigs List.
