I don't know why they hang up, but it is Big Brothers / Big Sisters of Southern Nevada. They are looking for donations

I have donated to them for year and receive calls only every 6 months. You possibly mistake the number.

They are a non profit and Do Not Call does not apply.

Have to leave a voice mail.  I screen my calls.

They called me for the first time a month ago. They already knew my name and address (?). Still I agreed to put together some bags of clothes to donate and actually managed to donate six large trash bags full of clothes (some brand new). Now I have missed calls (no messages) from them several times a week! I can't imagine they're persistance is because they really want to thank me. Pretty pushy to have their hand out for more right after I just gave them so much stuff.

keep calling and never leave a message.  Submitted many complaints with the do no call.gov site.  Seems that even the DoNotCall.gov doesn't work either otherwise they should have done something about it by now.  That's right, government employees don't work also.  Sorry for my stupidity.

After receiving a call from this number, I called the number back.  There was a directory listing on the number, and after pressing zero, I was connected to an operator.  She was pleasant and professional.  I played stupid and said that I kept getting calls from this number.  She volunteered to take me off the list and then she did.  She was very apologetic.  

As for Big Brothers calling for donations, they do.

Indeed, this number belongs to a fake Big Brothers Big Sisters, 702-222-9000 not even listed in the yellowpages.com The real telephone number for Big Brothers Big Sisters is 702-731-2227, I talked to the real one, and they said they don't call people to ask for donations.

Received a call this morning from this number and they were threatening me to have my attorney contact them within 24-48 hours......About some kind of "complaint" naming me.....STOP CALLING ME. I DON'T OWE ANYBODY ANYTHING

Being on the Do Not Call list has no meaning with respect to this type of caller.  Callers soliciting on behalf of charities are not required to check numbers against that list and in fact are not even permitted to register for access.  Unless a caller is directly or indirectly selling goods or services, the Do Not Call list does not apply to them.

I am on the DNC list and I continue to get calls from this number that uses the front of Big Brothers/Sisters as their caller id but an email to the organization requesting that I be removed from their call list was returned  as invalid. Others have had the same experience. I have set my phone up to hang up on them immediately but have an extensive list of calls they continue to make. Is there any way to find the legitimate source of the calls and hold them accountable for their harassment?  In addition,  obviously,  to getting the calls to stop?

Since they are soliciting for donations to a non-profit, they are exempt from the DNC list.  I have however told them to stop calling and to remove me from their call list, but hey continue to, so any further calls from them, including another one today, will be forwarded to the FCC as a violation.

i got a call from this number and the person said 'do you really want to fight that?" and hung up

This person from 702-222-9000 calls and tells me my full name and address and says that they are in need of donations. Then hangs up the phone when I ask how she got all my information!!

I'm on the do not call registry so this must be a scam

Given that the calls are from what I believe to be a local charity, I would not be posting in spite of them calling several times a week.  However, they seem to have gone the route of trying to disguise their identity from caller ID, which raises a red flag that they may actually be scammers.

I have received repeated calls from them on a number that is on the DO NOT CALL registry.

This number calls me every week..sometimes up to 5 times a day. I have answered and asked them to please stop calling..they called me 3 times today. This has been happening for a year now.

Caller ID states Big Brothers BI, but the Big Brothers organization has a different p[hone number--this may be a scam.

Same here. They call me all the time too & never leave a message, I never knew it was Big Brothers Big Sisters until I checked on here. Too bad they don't leave a message, because I always have bags full of donations that I could have been giving to them for years. Instead I've been donating to another organization. I'm glad I checked here. Thank you!

Just got a call, no message left.

This number has called 4 times and leaves no message and no one answers.

I have to pay for every call I get and it is more them anoying to pay for unwanted call!

Big Brother called twice today. No msg. We were watching the movie 1984.

TWICE THEY CALL HERE AS WELL, THERE IS A BEAUTY SUPPLY IN VEGAS CALL BROTHERS? NO LIVE PERSON ON OTHER END FOR ON 2ND PICKUP RING THEY HANG UP.

omg they called my daughter and she go hella freaked out cuz she said she asked who they were and they were just like i need to speak with your parents now

They called me just now..at 8:20 P.M...I've never donated to them before.
