I have had my fill for Cardholder Services!

Congress should pass a law that telemarketers working at a company that robocalls should be fined say $1,000 for each call they take.  In a short period of time, Cardholder Services would be out of business since all their employees would have left!

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone who has received such calls has been participating in any kind of online surveys.
The reason I ask this is because I also received such a call, but my # is private and unlisted. I received the same scam call less than 24hrs after completing some online surveys. Credit card company don?t know how the scammers even come accross the partial card info. I shred everything with my name on it before throwing it out, so how? IP address?

This whole thing is just disgusting. About a week ago I received a call promising to lower my interest rate on my credit card. The person already knew my credit card account balance, the interest I was paying as well as my last credit card payment. They also called out the first 8 digits of my card and asked me to call out the last 8 digits for ?verification purposes?. I didn?t want to, I felt like they should already know this.
So I was ?put through? to an ?associate?, and it was while I was ?on hold? to speak with this other ?associate? I hung up.

The man had a light east-indian accent, he gave me a phone# where he could be reached. Said he was from LTA-Lindquist Tax and Accounting.
Of course the phone# he gave(214#) as well as the # appearing on my phone( a 1-877#), were both invalid.

They called back at least 8 times within the space of 1 hr, and then a couple more times after that, but I never picked up.
One message was left asking me what had happenened, in this pathetic desperate voice.
So after I hung up I notified my credit card, cancelled and called my local anti-fraud orginaztion, had identity on watch alert, because before I realized it was a definate scam I had confirmed my name, address and DOB.

I honestly don?t know how these ?people? can even stomach themselves, doing what they do. They are pure scum, and may they all loose double-fold of what they took or tried to take in all aspects of their lives

I am beginning to believe the same. The Do Not Call Registry no longer works. The scammers are disguising themselves as surveys, not to mention the "political" callers.

They called; I did not answer.  I called the number, but no one would answer.

the do not call is worth less, they don`t do anything! all it is a place to report so if the local law enforcement gets involved then the evidence has been recordede time and date

hello this is rachel with cardholders services, [recorded message] wants to lower my intrest rates on my credit cards [of which i don`t have any] i`ve told them to remove my number, now they keep calling. so i cussed them out aftering hitting the 9 button to talk to some a** hole, ok he says we will call back tomorrow. here is what should be done, hunt the bastards down and beat the hell out of these son`s of a b***hes!

YES!   It is a scam from a number in Nevada.  They make all manner of bogus claims to get your money and leave you holding the bag.
If you are on the DoNotCallRegistry, you can report them online in just a minute.    
They won't call you again.

They won't bother you again.

It is a scam, and the number comes from Nevada.   (Who knows where they really are.)

WHY THE CALL

These people call me every day!  When I check to see who it is, it is coming from Nevada and I don't know anyone from Nevada, so I don't answer.  I just got on the "do not call" list but you can see how good that worked~

I got this call this morning and have been getting them many times prior. I hit the number they asked for and got a rep. and I told him I wanted them to remove our number, he promptly replied with a ," F**K YOU, B***ch!" and hung up. THey are saying they are a credit lowering service. I do not have a credit card, we cut them up years ago after paying them off. Do not want one nor do we need one. I hope there is a way to shut these people down. I can not block them on my call rejection because it says the number to be blocked is not valid. I just want these calls to cease, I will start recording them and gather evidence. I have alreayd been in contact with my state attorney generals office and they are sending the proper paperwork, btu with the number showing up as invalid they said it may be impossible to move forward.

Nope, but i got a call from a Fl Cell Phone that is (404) 600-3243, pressed three to stop the notifications, at 10:49, at 11:13 they called again but it was Nevada and the (702)232 5103 number, called the people out and they hung up on me...doubt i'll be getting another phone call in the future!

Miss a call from this number. Called it back to get a busy signal. No messege.

Received a call today April 13, 2011at 11:41 am.  No message left. Caller ID came in as Las Vegas, NV 702 232 5103.Called the number back at 5:46pm on April 13, 2011. Received a recording from Verizon Wireless stating this number has been changed, disconnected or no longer in service.  If you feel you have reached this number in error. Please try again.  I tried it 3 times and received the same recording.

Got a call at 1337 on 4-13.  I picked up, I heard a bunch of static, then they hung up.  I hate scammers.

I sure the heck hope so!!!! at least for the ones that are annoying but not for the ones that are just doin their job

I played with them and told them I have Visa, MasterCard, Discover and Amex. I told them I had made an arrangement with my bank to all have the same number.  The dude seemed really happy.  I told him 867-5309 he hung up.  This number has been calling my work cell phone for months.  This phone is on the do not call list.  I hope these crooks don't get anybody.

I just let this call go to my voice mail, looked it up, & because I fortunately still have a land line, I am able to block the number from ever calling me again.  I hope that eventually, for those who have cell phones, that this *60 feature becomes available to you too.  My rule of thumb, is when I see a number I don't recognize come through, I don't pick up the receiver.

I received a call from this number. I picked up and a recording came on about lowering my interest rate. Then they said to hold to speak to a rep. I held for a bit then it connected, by then my other cell rang. I picked up the other call and by then the rep answered the phone. I told her to hold on and she hung up

got this call again today.  Word of warning DO NOT ever press 1 for someone.  This is a scam and by pressing 1 gives them premission to annoy the crud out of you.  I did the same thing recently then teh calls started coming in 4 or 5 times a day.
