they called me too...it appears they are looking on Craig's List for those that are selling a vehicle. Unfortunately, they are not too smart because I'm not in Vegas but Alaska!

This company continues to call me, even after I told them NOT to call again. Trying to get me to list my car for sale with them. Thank You.

This number called today but hung up when I answered. I called back and they said they were interested in the truck I had posted. I just searched the number and found that they are scammers.

Been receiving these calls for over a week. Was wondering what they were about. Thanks to all.I still think a phone number in a Craigslist or other ad is better than just an email address because it weeds out the foreign scammers because they always ask if it still for sale and to send them a phone # they can call you at.Hey it's already in the ad call me.And I do not like responding to just an email address because to many spammers and scammers when they get your address.

Yes, this number calls you if you have posted a car for sale on Craigslist. I've received several calls from it since listing my 55 chevy for sale!. Maybe I should file a complaint, as poaching isn't suppose to happen on here!

Very slick the way 'One Stop Motors' has an automated message if you answer. They tell you to press the "zero" which now eliminates their spam status because you have in essence given them permission to interact.
They then have you list the make, model and year of your car and tell you they will have someone contact you back.
The reason we are using Craigslist and ebay is for the nominal fees. They violated me because on my add i indicate that it is NOT OK TO CONTACT ...

I have my phone number listed in a post selling my car on Craigslist.org and on cars.com.
They must have found it and want me to pay them to help me sell my car. They hung up on my voicemail.
Google Voice reports the number being from Las Vegas, NV.

Same as all the above. This whole era of craigslist scammers are really pissing me off!! Go get a job, a***oles!!!
Tip: DO NOT LEAVE YOUR PHONE NUMBER ON CRAIGSLIST. REQUEST BUYERS TO EMAIL YOU WITH A RETURN PHONE NUMBER< FOR YOU TO CALL THEM.
If you are ever worried about a possible scam, always look at craigslist WARNINGS. They may guide you in the right directions.
good luck and happy (safe) posting.

Same story as others... I placed an ad on Craigslist for a motorcycle and started getting calls almost immediately from these schmucks, wanting to "help me sell my bike" for a fee. They now have an automated system with a recorded message, probably because, that way, they don't have to listen to people like me tell them where they can go!

Yeah, tired of these people calling me. They seem to call me every time I make a change to my add on Autotrader as I'm trying to sell my car. I called them back on my work landline and some angry guy answered the phone and said "One Stop Motors." I just hung up. Why would I give them more $$$ when I already paid for the listing on Autotrader??? Ugh, I'm so tired of people trying to SCAM everyone.

They call if you have place a auto on Craigs list or E-bay. They are calling to scam you out of $500.oo They say they want to run your ad, if you give them the money first. Bad ideal. Don't do it.

Got a call from 702-247-7783. Answered it but they hung up. I called them back. Some guy said it was One Stop Motors. I told him I'd just been called by them. He checked on my number and then said he was calling about an add I had on Ebay a month or so ago. Asked if I had in fact sold the car. I told him yes. He thanked me and we hung up. I guess they were interested in buying my car. I sold it on Ebay for very cheap.

2/11/10 4:30pm PST, Washington State. Answered the call on my Boost Mobile cell. "Please press '0' if you want to buy a vehicle...". Hung up. Rang them back. Woman named Jennifer answers, identifies company as One Stop Motors (probably these people: http://www.onestopmotors.com/), asks if I am responding to a missed call. Hung up again - don't want to encourage them. Made sure my cell # is on donotcall.gov list for the future.
