This telephone number is coming back as a "VoIP phone from Las Vegas, NV".  That means these limptards are using the internet to call out on, so the call is not really traceable.  That means they can be calling from anywhere, such as Turkey, Iran, Nigeria or ROC, or some other country known for scamming people, etc.  No one knows.  But one thing is for certain: these are scammers!  Avoid them like the plague!  Nowadays, if you get an unknown caller from Nevada or California, chances are they are con-artists and criminals.  The whole west coast just needs to finally fall off into the ocean.  Then the rest of us human beings can finally have some peace.

Just was told this was Business yellow pages, and we supposedly have a contract with them for $649.99 due immediately.  Nice try.  Never heard of them and they would not fax me the supposed contract without "verifying" our business info that could be easily located/read off the internet.  I told the agent to give me a call back number and we'd be in touch.  Was given 800-970-3483 for customer service of Business Yellow Pages.  Called to see what we get - they do not provide a "business name", they just answer as customer service.  Don't fall for the scam!  When trying to call back the 702-257-0421 it acts like a number that is out of service.

Also, you could not be charged for breach of contract because (a) you never agreed to pay them, and (b) a voice recording - which they actually manipulate and make it sound like you agreed to this - is inadmissible and unenforceable in a court of law.

Prank Call
A safe practice would be to answer the phone with this greeting "Good afternoon, thank you for calling. For quality assurance, this line is recorded. How may I help you?"
If they haven't hung up by now, ask them to verify their information, so you can transfer them to the correct person.
Ask them for a phone number to return their call. NEVER GIVE THEM YOUR REAL NAME!
If they still haven't hung up, try to annoy them the same way they annoy you. Keep repeating yourself.
If all else fails, tell them you will place them on hold and get the owner on the line for them.
If you annoy them, chances are they will move on. They want to play this game with you, but they don't want to be made to look like fools!

Prank Call
I have gotten several calls from this number. They say they want to verify company information. Then she goes into a spiel about 60 days free service, which will then be "only" $60.00 a month to keep the service. They provide a phone # you are to call at the end of the 60 days, in order to cancel service. Guess what, I can almost bet at the end of the 60 days "free trial" you wont be able to reach a person at the number they provide! Just a bunch of scammers! When I told this woman I wasn't interested, she kept trying to talk over me. When I said I am not going to agree to anything where I would have to call someone to cancel a service, she again repeated the same information to me, as if that made a difference! I again told her I WAS NOT INTERESTED! She again tried to repeat herself. I cut her off and said "Let me get the owner on the phone" She hung up! Rude, but so glad to be rid of her for the day! And if you tell her you already spoke to someone to verify company info, she says "Very good and we still need to make sure our records are correct" They just like to play games. Think of some creative ways to answer their phone calls, and I'm sure you can get rid of them in no time.

They called this morning wanting to verify information.  I asked her for the name of the person she was trying to reach.  She asked for the owner or manager.  I told her I needed a name in order to transfer the call (even though I am a one man shop).  She started her speech and I simply told her without a name I an unable to transfer her, then hung up.  They called back a couple hours later.  I wish Verizon allowed an unlimited number of blocked numbers instead of just 5!

Received two calls from this number today at work. The number shows but the caller name shows UNKNOWN. The first call no one said anything. The second call was from a woman who didn't speak English very well asking me to update my free business yellow page listing. I transfered them off to out corporate office saying I couldn't help them.

Didn't recognize the number or area code, so I just trashed the call without answering. No message. Thanks to those with the patience (and nerve) to find out who these pustules are. They're now on my blacklist.

Got exact same call.  Two years ago they did it to me, and had proof of a recorded phone call that I agreed to the first two years free, and never cancelled.  So originally they got me for half. ($300.00).  I told them if they ever contacted me again, I would get a lawyer.  And today again.  I screamed at the guy and hung up.  They will probably try to scam me again with the recorded call from 4 years ago.  They are horrible people.  Please don't fall for it, like I did the first time.  Also, they have nothing to do with the real yellow pages.  This bogus company is yellow pages online,  not the real deal.

Called my work number. Caller ID says "Las Vegas, NV.  They are not calling for Vegas.  It is a "spoofed" or fake name and number on the Caller ID.  It is illegal and you can file a complaint at www.fcc.gov although I doubt they can relly do much about it.  These are phishing scams.  They are trying to get you to give them info and if you do they can try and steal your identity or get you or your company to pay out money for products that you never ordered. If you don;t know the caller then don't answer.  If it is important they will leave a message.

I keep getting crank calls from 702-257-0421.  They hang up as soon as i answer.  It is just busy when I call back.  I don't know anyone from Nevada.  I have no business there.  This has been going on for months.  The number needs to be revoked.  I see on line that there are MANY of us getting these disturbing calls.

Getting calls from these scammers -.

Yellow pages phone scam - probably related to call from 503-205-0079 which called earlier today. Calling for office manager trying to verify listing, address, if we'd moved, etc.

The jerk with accent on the phone called me a "liar" when I told him we have never paid for a listing, kept referring to a "mid point billing" for the invoice they were going to send and that we had a listing since 2012. I kept reiterating that we do not pay for ANY listings.

He hung up on me when I said we had not paid for any listings.

I just got the same call to verify business information and did I want to cancel. I said I was closing my business and to cancel as I have been telling that to all callers. He said it would cost $649 for the past 2 years of service and they would send a bill. I told him I never hired his company and he said he had a signed contract that he would send it along. I told him again that I never signed a contract. He insisted. I hung up. He called and called and called and called and I ignored his calls.

Company calls to "verify" the free listing. This is a well-known scam where they record your voice and then doctor the recording to indicate that you have agreed to their $600 listing. When you protest to a "manager" you are told that they will forgive the whole thing if you just pay $200 via credit card over the phone immediately. Yea right.

Best to just hang up or block this type of caller. They are a scammer trying to separate you from your money.

Claiming to be yellow pages online, wanted to verify information, said that the first year is free and we ok'd this two years ago and that there is a balance of $649.99 on the account for the past year of service.  SCAM, we don't do business over the phone.  Just hang up.  Not worth the time and nothing ever gets done about scamming companies.

Saw this number on my caller id. No voice mail left. I love 800 notes!!  To screen these calls, I have added a Spam contact with a quiet ring to my phone. Then when they call, I just giggle to myself. After 35 years with the same number, I have to do something.

You're getting a busy signal because they have their system set up to give ALL INCOMING CALLERS to the number they broadcast a busy signal!!!!!!!!   I can do the same thing here and do that for these spam callers - they just get a busy signal.  It's funny looking through the logs to see how many times a particular number calls only to have their call "answered" by the computer only to then get a busy signal.  I can also set it up to tell them "this number cannot be reached from your calling area".

Yes. they called us and said that it was a yellow page cancellation and even gave a confirmation #. You're absolutely right. They get you to answer a series of questions confirming 'Yes'. I gave them a phony name. Then they said our final bill would be $649.99 and if we paid over the phone by credit card or via bank draft we would get a discount of $100. I asked them to hold and they hung up. If they send anything here that says we owe them any money, they can wait until the bottom falls out of hell. Sick of scammers. The government needs to do more to protect people from these dogs.

I was told they were calling from a company in which they claim i made a contract with and when i asked for proof of that contract they made excuses of why they could not supply it.  I then contacted the company they claimed they worked for and found out it is a scam in which they are trying to get financial information and take your money.  Do not supply any info
