Exact same for me.  No message, but I have a car on Auto Trader

Same for me, I have a car on EBAY and got their call.

The same for me. I thought Ebay was supposed to safeguard these types of intrusive calls.

Same here! I've been getting the same calls! Although I had posted to Craigslist before Auto Trader when I started getting these calls!

I got a call as well. I didn't return the call either but checked online to investigate and was directed here.

I recieved a call from this number and they tried to sell me a service to finance buyers for my car. I don't know if they are legit or trying to steal ID's.  They got my number out of the "recycler" from an auto ad. They started the call by asking if I had sold my car. and then went into their sales pitch.

The message indicated that they could probably get me more than I am asking for a vehicle that I am selling. The had to get my number from the Auto Trader ad.

After posting a boat on Craigslist I received a call from this number and a message to please call the person wanted to buy the boat for our asking price.  I hit #9 to be removed from their list.  Yesterday from 1-888-7466867.  This time the message stated they were not a broker, the were an ad service company.  I have also filed a complaint with the Federal Do Not Call registry.  The ad specifically stated no brokers, sales/services companies.

Placed an ad on cars.com and started getting these unwanted phone calls.

I just gat a missed call fom this number. I also have a car for sale on Craigslist and Vehix.
They are offering financing for the new buyer.

i got a missed call while at work on my cell.  i posted my car on www.kijiji.com the other night.  i was about to return the call, but i always google things and investigate before i jump. i'm glad i did.  however, i do have my number listed on the ad for callers to call if interested, and i'm wondering if these people have gotten my number off there?

apparently they are now calling for cars on ebay as well. i posted my car last night and got the this morning.

Got a call from the same number. My car is on Craigslist. I didnt answer. I'm mad.

I placed an ad in RV Trader and received this missed call - I too googled the number and received this page. I received my call within 3 hours of placing my ad.

I received a call on my cell phone tonight. I usually don't answer calls from unknown numbers, so I did not answer this time, either. Since the caller did not leave a message, I decided to google the number to see if I could figure out who it was. And, like many other folks that have posted here, I came to this website.

I, too, have a call listed on Craigslist.com. I think there are a number of companies that contact people listing cars in a similar fashion. I fell for this with another company last year called GreatCarsAndTrucks.com. They did not deliver on their promise to sell my car. Although they had a 100% money back guarantee, they did not deliver on this, either. I challenged the charge on my Visa and got my money back.

Moral of the above story: Don't do business with companies like these. Take it from me!

I posted a car on Craigslist and just received this call also.  I never receive calls on my cell from anyone but those I want to call me.  They certainly don't qualify.

Same with me, I put an ad on autotrader.com about a week ago.

Posted an add on Cras.com today, just recieved a call from saying that they could help me sell my car for my asking price, maybe more. That they are a finance company and take no commision, then at the end of the recording saying that if I was serrious about selling to press 1.

I called them back and spoje with "Todd" who agreed to take me off the list.

If this keeps up I'm contacting cars.com and maybe the BBB.

I got a missed call from this number today (1/3/08) and googled it and came up with this page.

I just put a car on autotrader.com, and it seems to be common thread running through here.

I've gotten a call about every other day since posting on auto trader. Other (702) numbers as well.

I've received a couple of calls from this company, a recorded woman's voice stating, as in ICE's post above, "that they could probably get me more than I am asking for a vehicle that I am selling."  The other number this company called me from is 888-746-6867.  They pulled my number from craigslist even though I indicated that I did not want to be contacted by commercial interests.  A Google search indicates that the company is U.S.A. Motor Sales, LLC registered in Las Vegas, NV in Clark County under business license number E05839120074.  I'm contacting the Chamber of Commerce there (of which they're a member) and the BBB.

ya, clearly someone is spam botting for phone numbers on autotrader, I got one too. I am going to call and complain to autotrader, it should be their responsibility to pursue solicitations that come from using their service that we pay for.

I got a call from On Stop Auto, they gave me the number of customers they have helpd 500,000. They have been in business for 5 years and have only had 130 complaints. They told me to logon to Yahoo and search Classic Corvette. I did and it opens up to red corvette. She asked me if I had pictures of the car, I told not yet. She asked me if I had access to a digital camera. She then said she needed 12 pictures. I asked her how much this would cost me. She said $499.00 and I would be getting more for my car. I told her I was not interested.

I just got a "missed" call from this number on my cell with no message left, so I googled the number.  Just to let you know, this is the second bogus call I've gotten from an area code 702 number in two days.  The other scam call telephone number was 702-876-9626.  The common thread here seems to be that I have a car for sale on Auto Trader like everyone else.  This is creepy!
