The call I received was from 702 269 6452  it was very abusive

I also received a very nasty voicemail message from a gentleman saying we had been calling him for 5 years and waking him up.  I'm still a bit shaken up by the call.  I blocked my number and tried to call this number back but it says the caller will not accept calls with a blocked ID.  Is there someone we can report this to?

total scam.  don't send out any money.  Some guy named Ray...they ask for your name and mailing address.  At first I believed it and gave my address but then I gave a fake name.  don't fall for it.

I received a call from 702-269-6452 and got a voice mail that made no sense- it was all profanities. I have never seen this number in past. Does anyone know this number?

Got a call from (702)256-5005 said it was FCF on caller ID.  Person on the other end didn't speak English and asked for someone I never heard of.

8:19pm got a call. Caller ID said "Police PF". Next time I'll answer it and tell them to remove my number or I'll report them (other then here of course).

called number back and said it was a foundation, definitely a scam

I've had a couple of calls from this number, the most recent one about 7:30 p.m. tonight.  When I answer the phone, there is no one there.

I saw the Police PF on the caller ID & answered only to get a "tone". I quickly hung up and googled to see what others found on that number. Probably didn't stay on long enough to have the call transfer to anyone but believe if it was the police they would call me back ASAP or show up at the door!

I also received a call from this number with the Police PF showing as the caller ID.  I actually checked this site while the phone was ringing and didn't bother to pickup after reading a few of the posts.  Of course, no message was left and I won't be answering any calls from this number going forward.

Received a call 10/18/07 from 209-269-9600.  I wasn't home at the time and no message was left.  Glad I googled this as it sounded suspicious when I could find it within the police dept listings.

I reported the number on the national do not call registry, although they don't investigate each individual complaint they use the information to investigate multiple reports for the same number and it can lead to legal action.  Hey any bit helps...

We've been receiving the calls for the past few weeks every other night or so after 8 pm.  I never answer the phone and they always hang up on the answering machine.  Going to see what I can do about reporting them since our number is registered on the national do not call list.

Received a call from 702-269-9600.  It was after 9PM.  The caller ID says police pf.  Looking it up here I noticed several had called the police department and reported it.  Does anyone know if the police are investigating the scam?  Why not?

Same as above. Just a few minutes ago. With everything in this world going downhill the last thing I need is to worry about why the police are calling me. I knew it was a scam since Police is not what hte caller ID would say if it were.

Same thing... got a cryptic voice saying "How could you?" and than an imediate hangup. I called back and got a sales pitch...

October 12, 2007 -- I'm starting to get calls from this number. Like others, there is no message and when I try to return the call I get a busy signal. Please continue to lodge DO NOT CALL complaints.

This call came in just now while I was in the shower so I couldn't answer it. Freaked me out because it said something about police in the caller ID and I thought maybe something had happened to someone in my family or something. I tried to call it back and it was just busy so I went online to try to research it and found this info.
I'm glad to know it wasn't something serious!! Hopefully they don't keep calling.

just got this call.. 11am on 10/11.. no one responded and the call ended.. we just switched back to embarq because we were without a phone when cox had problems for several days in august.. we are also on the national dont call registry.. i think news channels need to be aware of this..

Yep- we got one of those calls and thought a young man we were mentoring was in trouble.  We did not get to the phone on time and no message was left.  Called the number back and it went to an automated system.  Tried again and got a busy signal.  Thanks for reporting them know we know!
