our phone company finally got the robot dialer shut down.
again. I work for creative foam shapes.
we are a legit foam cutting facility in las vegas.
our phone number was used by the scam artist to show on their caller id (spoofing is what its called)
and calls were made all over the place.
after calling the fcc, the ftc, the fbi and filing a report with their cyber crimes division (ic3)
and contacting news in Florida, switching service providers and having them look into it, it has finally ended.
(i hope)
sorry to all who were bothered..

Yeah out of curiosity i did press 1 and the automated lady asked me to enter my account #. I hung up. I thought it was funny because they said merrill lynch, I don't even have a credit card.
Amy 2013-06-19 13:33:19 Unknown
The message was cut short, but basically card deactivated press 1 yadayada, and you'll go to security dept. These calls seem to be coming in more frequently than the past.
Glad we're all smart enough to not be scammed!

received call from this number on my cell phone( which is on the DNC list) at 955am today; no message left. As most of my family lives in this area, I ( kind of) panicked that someone was trying to reach me. I call back numerous times and just recieve a busy signal.
Jenny 2013-06-18 18:23:28 Unknown
Husband got the call from this number oh his cell phone saying card was cancelled from Merrill Lynch. We don't have any cards with Merrill Lynch. I also noticed I got a missed call on my cell phone from the same number not too long after he got his call.

I just got a call from this number. Since I don't know anyone in Las Vegas, I sent it to voicemail. They didn't leave a message.
Evey 2013-06-18 14:58:55 Unknown

b w 2013-06-17 18:33:43 Unknown
Mechanical voice telling me my merrill lynch debit card was being suspended-don't have acct with them and I know financial institutions don't operate that way, so I just hung up. Moving on from phoney emails to phone calls.

Called Columbus Ohio on 6/12 @ 4:09. I didn't pick up so it went to voicemail which recorded end of a mechanical female voice message saying "...activated. Please press 1 now and you will be transferred to our 24-hour security department."
Pissed off in Ohio 2013-06-13 01:58:49 Unknown
Pre-recorded message identifying themselves as Merrill Lynch and that my debit card had been suspended...press 1 to speak to 'security'....of course I didn't press anything...idiots...I called Merrill Lynch (who I have no relationship with. They confirmed it is not them and is a Phish scheme. I HATE these types of people....and how did they get my number in the first place?!? B*****ds.
Ohiogal 2013-06-13 00:02:33 Unknown
I called to ask a question to someone in Vegas as we will be traveling there and I had a missed call from this number with a VM that was recorded saying it would transfer me to security. I wonder the same thing...

The phone number at one time was associated with
nvsos.gov/sosentitysearch
CREATIVE FOAM SHAPES CORPORATION
ANDRZE J BOGUSZ
I'm not sure if they lost their phone number and it was reallocated, or they have moved on to phishing for credit card numbers.
They have a live webpage and phone number for
SIGN GIANT LLC (revoked)
same address as Creative Foam, same fax number
phone 702-363-7446
fax 702-270-6291
Same name:
ANDREZEJ BOGUSZ
KEVIN BERRY
Note that the domain names for
CREATIVEFOAMSHAPES.COM
SIGNGIANT.NET
Also registered to same agent and Kevin Berry
The phone number appears to be allocated to Central Telephone Company d/b/a CenturyLink

I figured it was a phishing scam. I don't have a debit card
Amy 2013-06-12 21:27:58 Unknown
It just happened to me a few minutes ago. First, I don't have a Merrill Lynch account. Second, I don't have a debit card. I called the number back. No one answered the call.

Stop acting like all elderly people are idiots. I'm sure just as many young morons fall for this as older morons.
Brindleslapz 2013-06-12 20:57:54 Unknown
It would help if the authorities read sites like this. We need to directly contact authorities if you expect something to happen, not just post on this site.
Unfortunately scams like this are almost impossible to nail down. By the time they can do something about it, the outfit will have moved and changed numbers.
bubbpunt 2013-06-12 20:48:48 Unknown
Maybe you try doing something instead of just posting on a random website about it? Contact someone who has authority, this site is just a collection of posts from internet users. No one here can do anything about it, regardless of how many capital letters or exclamation points you use.
bundlecawx 2013-06-12 20:44:33 Unknown
Whatever official governing body it is, I guarantee they don't read "800notes.com" in order to get their evidence.
Bundlecawx 2013-06-12 20:29:44 Unknown
Same thing.. the funny thing is I entered a fake 16 digit number just to see what happened next, and it told me the number was invalid. It must be a pretty sophisticated system if they know the algorithm for correct card #s
