I don't have caller id on this line but the call is about lowering credit card debt as it relates to the stimulus; 2nd & final notice (I WISH!).  I finally chose the #1 option to speak to someone, and after getting to be "first in line" there was no one to talk to and the line finally went dead.  WHAT'S THE POINT OF THESE CALLS??  stupid stupid waste of time.  Yes, we are on the do not call list; but it in cases like this, it doesn't matter.

This call was a "Card Services" call.  The caller was extremely rude to the point of calling my husband names.  The phone company couldn't even offer any advise!

I don't know if it works on all cell phones but on mine there is a reject list under options. I am on the do not call list but they use autodialers so that doesn't help a lot. When an unfamiliar number calls me, I look it up. If it's one of these scam calls, I pull up the number on my phone. Then I push options. A list comes up and one of the choices is add to reject list. I choose that and any time they call after that, the phone will not ring, It may register as a missed call but at least it will not ring, I don't have a land line though so I have no idea about that.

I received a number of calls on my home phone as well as my cell phone from Credit Card Services, claiming that "this is the last call before your next billing cycle to lower your interest rate...blah blah blah".  The first time I received the call, I thought it was from my credit card company, so I responded to the call and when they asked me for my credit card number, I flatly refused. The man from "Credit Card Services" assured me that it was a secure phone call. And I said, "I'm supposed to take your word for that? I DON'T THINK SO!" I've already been stabbed with identity theft as well as credit card fraud. The man hung up on me. Now a couple of months later I'm getting phone calls again. I called back to tell them to take me off their distribution list or I am going to turn them into the authorities. This is a SCAM, people.  Don't get sucked into this, by any means.

We have received several calls from 702-318-1523. When we answer the person hangs up, but it is irritating and now that I know it's a scam I'm reporting it.

SCAM! When I answered a call from this number, there was an automated recording saying something about lowering my interest rates, "Press 1 to take advantage of this stimulus offer." I pressed 1 and a guy picked up, asking if I was responding to the offer to lower my interest rates. I said, "No actually, I'd like you to put me on your 'Do Not Call' list." -- CLICK. -- He hung up on me. I called back and there's a message set up saying "The number or code you have dialed is incorrect. Please hang up and try your call again." Creepy people running a sleazy scam!

This number has called my landline numberous times. I just screen my calls.....You would think that they would give up after a while.....It certainly would be nice if something could be done about stopping this crap....
I have a friend who answers these calls and then tells them to wait a minute and puts the phone down and never comes back. They get tired of waiting and eventually hang up. It seems to work for her because they quit calling her. Personally, I do not want to give them the satisfaction of answering the phone.....

If enough people file complaints the do not call registry will do something about it. The morans that own the number and or company can be fined and the fines are not small. It is irritating!

FRAUD FRUAD

I have been getting the same calls, I did call my cell phone carrier and they are able to block that number from calling in again. I have done that in the past and it works. As far as you land line about all you can do is sign up for the "Do not call registry.org" this is a free service. I have field a complaint with the FCC and I did geta letter, BUT the FCC needs the Business name to pursue it and of course there is not one and or I will not pay a service fee to find out. It is maddening! There are  people who answer these calls and the first thing they ask for is your credit card number(s). UGHHHH!  Your bank or Creit card compaines would never do this withour annoucing themselves! First of all no one calls you to lower your interest rates, you the consumer have to pursue this on your own! What a SCAM!

This number called my landline (that no one but my immediate family knows) four times.  When I answered each time, there was a loud recorded voice that said, "Please hold for important information about your credit card account."  Since I don't use credit cards, I knew it was nonsense.  I attempted to phone the number back to be asked to taken out of their system, and got a recording telling me that I had misdialed.

Go figure.

I just filed a complaint with the fcc. Please click on the link or copy and paste the url below. On the menu on the left select "file a complaint". If they receive as many complaints as there are on this website, I would hope they would do something.

Caller provides a come on to reduce debt on credit cards. I got the name of the company he alleges he represents, but he would not supply company contact numbers, became quiet when I continued to ask for a company call back number and then he dropped the call. This company has called many times with the same message. Irritating. That's why I signed on to the Do Not Call Registry

We are getting calls all the time from several numbers.  I asked to have my name removed from the list and was told he can only do what his supervisor says.  I asked to speak to his supervisor and he said he was really mean.  I told him I didn't care.  His supervisor told me he couldn't remove me from the list and was very antaganizing, and I finally hung up.

Received call from this number at 2:38 p.m.  Recording about credit card accounts to take action before next billing cycle.  Said it is regarding the federal stimulus package.  Hung up as it's cell phone and minutes are precious.

I am on the do not call list to and still get calls, but probably not as many as if I wasn't on the list. I have had more than one person tell me something like "I dont know who is on the do not call list - I don't get that list". I also have a Panasonic phone system that blocks calls...but new numbers seem to keep coming up. It is great for the repeat numbers though. My model # is the KXTGA562. In the case of this caller though I didn't pick up and they left no message.
