Keeps calling and never leaves a message.  Its getting rather annoying

I get at least 4 to 5 calls a day and when I finally picked it up no one was there.  How can I get them to quit calling?  I am already registered on the Do Not Call List.

I picked up the phone and no one was there.  So I dialed them and got:

"The number you have reached is not in service.  This is a recording."

I would NEVER buy ANYTHING from people who fake their caller id.

Continuously getting calls from this number - no one ever says anything but constantly calls late in the evening.  I'm on a do not call list!!!!!

Same thing, they call several times a day and when I answer no one is there. If I let the call go the the answering machine they never leave a message. How can we get this to stop?

I have been receiving these calls 5-6 times a day -- same result -- no answer -- so irritating..

These people keep calling and when you pick it up nobody answers.  You call them back and it says it is not a working number.

Getting calls from this number at least 4 times a day! I just changed my number due to this. And it's happening again. It's been less than a month since I've changed it. I've answered it and there is no one, and when I call back, it's a non working number. As with everyone else...this is SOOOOO annoying!

i don't think time warner is the problem just got my number for magic jack 2 months ago get at least 2-3 calls a day.

Yep, new Time Warner phone service = harassing telespammers.  5 calls yesterday.  Annoying!!!!

They called me today. I picked up they didn't say anything. I'm not sure what they want and I'm really glad people have the same experience. It really is time for the Federal Government to act upon this kind of abuse. Rather than waste time spying on ordinary Americans, you can crack down on these scam bags and let us have peace of mind! We deserve freedom!

@Mimithe - I think you nailed it.  I just got a call from this number, a salesman from a home security company (I didn't catch which one, I cut him off very quickly).  This is the fifth or sixth different home security telemarketer that has called my landline since I established service with Time Warner on 25 June...and I've given that number to nobody except work, my father-in-law, and my landlord.  TWC is selling our numbers, directly or indirectly, to these home security telespammers because the calls started the FIRST DAY after they hooked the service up.  I literally got a call from a home security telespammer before I even knew what my own phone number was (the installer didn't tell me before he left).

I've been getting this call but last night a message left was someone screaming & laughing. Tried calling it back but got this is a non working number. :(

Called the house phone 3 times so far.  Once at 3:43, again at 4:30, and then once again at 5:48EST.  I tried calling the number back to curse them out but the number isn't in service.  The next time they call I will answer.  Telemarketers are the scum of the earth.

Called several times, so I finally picked up....as noted above, it is someone (did not identify himself) from "Safe Home Security" letting you know that if you allow him to put a small sign in the front yard, he'll give you a free system. Riiiiiiight. So I have a contract with ADT and when I tried to tell him this, he talked over me. Nice. Finally, I told him to take me off the list, only to learn later that my husband already requested that from this number. Good, good. So, I tried dialing the number back, and it is, of course, not in service.

calls several times a day for the past few weeks. so annoying

my telephone number is fairly new as I just added a land line in June 2012.  I am on a permanent do not call list and I do not want these calls.

I finally picked up after they called for the 3rd time today.  It is a company trying to put a security system into my home for free.  It is complete bull crap so it is not worth answering!

This number has been incessantly calling me.  Don't know anyone in NV; don't answer calls I do not recognize!  So they can give it up!  Wonder if the fact that on July 9th I bundled with Time-Warner Cable and that is precisely when these calls started.  I am on the PERMANENT DO NOT CALL list.  Does anyone else have a similar circumstance?  Also the number:  773-999-0000.

It really pisses me off. They have called everyday and I answer and no one says anything. I just purchased a landline just last week and they have called everyday since it has been in service and i cant find out what they want so they can stop calling me. I work evenings so i sleep during the day and they just wont stop. I'm thinking on changing the number that I just gave out to everyone....
