If you get a job offer - and are asked to reply to a free, web based email address, use caution. A real business has a real web page. A check on whois.com will give you the registration details of the web page. Remember- job interviews are done in person. Not by email, text, fax, or chat. If they want to conduct an interview by Yahoo chat, there are problems. Use the internet to search everything about the company. Names, address, phone numbers, everything. If there is ever a mention of an advance 'fee' for the job - it's a scam.

How much did you get paid to write that? Hope it wasn't much because nobody believes you.
Or should I say believe's you? LOL. Illiterate scammer.
Mrs. Simon Robbert 2014-01-05 21:11:20 Unknown
Linwood Fabric, is not a company that scam's. Anyone who think's this are pure loser's.

Hi this just happened to me too!!!! I posted that I needed a job yesterday on cl and Simon Robbert emailed me and he gave me the exact same number (702-825-1248) and he told me to download yahoo messenger, too! Except my job was to post ads on cl. For some reason the ads didn't go through and he got super mad! He asked me to post this: "Data Entry/Payroll clerk needed Looking for a Payroll clerk/ Data Entry Services Full range of payroll services available. Any applicate should be up to 20 years and above and this position is also suitable for sitting at home mom or anybody that need extra income. Please if interested email your cover letter/resume for review to katherineirb@gmail.com for more details. Compensation $1200 per week". Something seemed fishy to me so I decided to Google his name and I thank God that I found this page. I confronted him and he didn't reply back he even deleted his yahoo messenger. So anyone who is reading this please be careful!!!! Stay away from anyone who works at Linwood fabric! God bless you!

Just got a text message last night from a Simon Robbert asking me if I had found a job yet after I had posted a CL ad looking for employment. Turns out he represents Linwoodfabric company. Asks me if I would like to fill the only position open as a post clerk. My wife and I began to look into this after I had set up yahoo messenger to talk with him and he had asked me to go out and purchase Versa check forms #1000, #3000 or #900. He then asked if I had a printer and envelopes. He said to email him the receipts for any materials purchased and they would reimburse me. Once I saw all the scam details reported for this cpany I immediately ended all conversation with this individual. The cell number in which he texted me from is 702-825-1248 so beware!

Same thing just happened to me this morning. I put up an ad for organizing skills offered, and I got a response back from a guy named Simon Robbert from Linwood Fabric.... I knew right off the bat that it was a scam because he replied to my email within LITERALLY 2 seconds, and it was a lengthy email saying how i would have to buy materials for payroll, and then i would be paid 1200 a month via western union - scam.
LADY 2012-10-20 23:06:48 Unknown
Mine started with Craigslist too. Got 14 replies. All were scams. And frank rich was one of them from Linwood fabrics but he goes by rich frank now. How do we stop this?
Morgan 2012-05-30 20:23:57 Unknown
I put an ad on craigslist for a personal assistant, and received two responses. One from linwood fabrics from frank rich, and another from Bob david about a nanny position. I knew right off they were scams, but was curious about it. The same thing happened with wanting me to print checks, and buy the materials with my own money and be reimbursed..smh! These scumbags just want personal information so they can rob you. BEWARE of something that seems to good to be true. It usually is. Keep exposing them
Sallymatu 2012-03-27 20:05:19 Survey
I just got the same message after applying for the position of admin assistant two days ago on craiglist.
It such scam... people who defrauds others ... and ride you into debt in the exchange for their own fortune.
So sad... the fool is definitely not smart enough.
dominika_s 2012-02-22 00:52:18 Unknown
Hmmm interesting... I just applied for Admin Assistant position, it turned out to be a UK React Surveys company seeking mystery shoppers... the e-mails i was receiving looked very professional and on the point...they were from Stephanie Ellen Swift... the "director" of the company even called to make an arrangement about first assignment... no trust for them i guess?
merc 2012-02-10 23:11:21 Unknown
what happened during your scam?
Redmond 2011-12-20 13:55:26 Unknown
Did they send you an official looking email?
Sally Johns 2011-12-09 20:28:42 Unknown
Beware!
The new scam from "Stephanie Miller" and "Stephanie Ellen Swift" @+44 702-404-7903
...Thank god I looked up the number, is for an "Administrative Assistant" *Or buried in the message* a "Mystery shopper" praying on the unemployed...B*****ds...

Melody 2011-07-17 04:30:24 Unknown
I got one from the same Richard Franczak after posting an ad for child care/pet care, almost identical to what Liz described. I'm lucky I googled him because I almost went along with it.
Liz 2011-07-13 03:58:39 Unknown
how did you report him cause I would love to do it and see him and his false company stop before he can get anyone else
LiZ 2011-07-13 03:57:01 Unknown
I got the same thing and UPS call me after I tried to find out where the envelops were and said that the account info was false and a scam, I talked back with the guy who told me it was a good an secure job but its not if you call the number some guy answers and he does not give name of who is or what company he is from
Liz 2011-07-13 03:51:42 Unknown
i received a txt from a Richard Franczak saying that he was from a fabric company and wanted me to write checks for his company and mail them, UPS stopped the check and told me it was a scam has anyone else had this. This Richard Franczak used this name in a nanny caregiver ad please let me know
Jamie 2011-06-06 20:54:19 Unknown
This call is a scam do not call it or answer if it calls you, they will take your money and you could end up in prison for fraud or fake checks!
Julie 2011-06-06 20:54:19 Unknown
What business has this number?
jazzy 2011-04-07 19:09:12 Unknown
Omg thank God I looked up his number! Im supposed to meet delivery next week! Damn Thomas Reed!
sprtfrk 2011-03-08 19:33:11 Unknown
another giveaway is that he never states where he is locating exactly. Driving times around here vary greatly with the time of day and even a short trip can take a long time and with the current fuel pricing, that can become expensive.
sprtfrk 2011-03-08 19:26:52 Unknown
My wife received an almost word for word identiical letter. Told her right away it was BS. after, checking here, I am glad to say my radar is still working fine.
Donte Dre Winrow 2011-02-18 16:35:50 Unknown
Oh Yeah.
Then YOÚ'LL get in trouble and MUST pay it ALL back, because it came out of your account.
I know it Sucks.
We were happy once we got the check though.
Donte Dre Winrow 2011-02-18 16:33:27 Unknown
The same thing happened to me.
They sent my mother a $4,899 check.
We were going to cash it.
But I investigated in it. Because its sort of strang that we never talked to him on phone.
SEE, what they want you to do. Is take money out the bank, with YOUR account that isn't really THERE.
Then send their "Driver" some of the money you received.
So I was thinking, "Why didn't he just seperate the checks?"
Then. I found out it was a scam.
I got to give it to em'.
They tricked lots of people.
Michele 2011-01-30 02:37:43 Unknown
Don't cash it ,,,,,or you will be sorry
Micheleb8m3 2011-01-30 02:35:53 Unknown

I feel cheated I was only offered 500.00
Michele 2011-01-30 02:08:00 Unknown
I really don't think there is any way to get them, unless you follow through and be a very good PI and your might just do it. someone needs to follow through with the police involved.

This one is Thomas A. Reed from england, moving next month. Having furniture moved by shippers. That is where they usually get you, they want you to help them by sending some of the money they send you to the shippers. But the check bounces after about 2 weeks. And YOU are responsible for all the money!!!!
