Dumbasses!  'Theft by Receiving' is when someone else steals it then gives or sells it to you and you are aware that it is stolen.  The caller doesn't know what he's talking about.  He's trying to scam you.

They called and I answered the first time. They asked if my social ended with **** and I said yes, and they said there was someone trying to file a criminal suit against me. They asked for a recorded statement and I refused. then they proceeded to tell me I owed a debt of $708 to kay jewelers (a past due creditor) and that if I didn't make an immediate payment they were sending it to my local sheriffs office to have a warrant issued for "Theft by Receiving". They promptly hung up after I refused to pay immediately and asked for contact information to reach the original creditor.

I got a call from this number last night. Another call today, and the guy asked for name. After I said yes, he hung up.

Called, left no message.  Nowadays I enter such numbers in my reject list once there are three or more such.  

This # calls several times a day for the last couple of weeks.  No ever speaks or leaves a message.

They call late at night and when you answer they hang up.  REALLY BOTHERSOME

Man sounded drunk.  Would not acknowledge me talking to him.  Talked over me.  Said many things that didn't make sense.  I asked him if he was drunk.  He kept talking.  I asked if he could hear me.  He kept talking.  I got the impression that he entered whatever answers he wanted even though I didn't answer one of his questions.  Bogus poll.  I called the number back and heard a recording about why I should answer polls.  I have a better idea.  Hire people who aren't drunk who listen to what people are saying.

Got a call from them in Arizona. They asked for me by name and when I said it was me, they hung up. Kind of creepy. Should I be worried? I would have taken the survey, now I'm a little worried.

Has been calling my house twice a day for the past 3 days. no one is there when I answer. they leave no message.Calls started Feb 2 2012.

I received a call from this number and asked what they were calling for.  I was told it was a survey for female voters the caller would not give me her name and then hung up on me when I asked if I could be taken off of their call list.

Just got two calls today, I NEVER pick up my phone unless I know who is calling.
I get calls almost everyday from all different numbers with different cities.  They never leave a message, so they must not want anything important.  I call back and it's a disconnect or a non working number, etc.  I've learn to live with it since no one seems to be able to stop this type of annoyance.

I have received dozens of calls from this number. No messages have ever been left. Something needs to be done about these robo calls that continually has us. Seems like it might be a political call.

Our local fire department 16 here in Key Center Washington has hired these guys to do survey work in anticipation of asking for more tax money. We are getting calls on home phone, cell phones and for our kids multiple calls per day. They have helped us make up our mind on any new taxes for FD16

I've received about 10 calls from this #. I've never answered and they've never left a message

It does not border on harassment. It is harrasmen!

Have been receiving calls from this number too, tried calling it back, nothing.  If you get my voicemail, leave a message or don't call at all.  Stop calling!!!

Called twice now in the last two days. Did not answer it. Is this a scam? Stop calling my number!

Called this number back and got dead air...very strange.  I typed the number into google and found this page.  To see all of these other people having the same problem freaks me out a little bit.  Something very fishy is going on here.  Why are they calling and hanging up... what are they getting out of this?

repeated calls from this number--sometimes 7 or 8 in one evening.  --16 calls the last few days alone. have asked them not to call and they continue.  borders on harassment

The FBI?  Really?  Because tracking down the likes of plane bombers doesn't keep them busy enough? Or in your case, people that shoot at the pipeline?

Calls my home number later at night. I deteste late night calls!  I do not answer, but  after reading the posts, I may just for fun.  We need to turn this thing around and mess with these callers.  Let's take a minute out of our time, mess with them and waste their time just like they are wasting ours.  Heck-we might as well enjoy this instead of allowing them to tick us off.

I got a call from this number and they hung up... I reported it to the FBI.

Same thing as all of you. They have called me almost every night for about a week and hang up when I answer, I wonder if there is anything we can do to put a stop to these calls?

Said they were calling regarding the up-coming California election and wanted to conduct a 6 minute survey regarding propositions that were on the ballot.

Someone from this number called me 5 times in 4 days.  Never leaves a message and hangs up when I pick it up!  It is NOT a recording as I can hear the person breathing into the phone!

Did not recognize the number, so didn't answer it. They didn't leave a message. I am also on the Do Not Call List.

Ok, it's not just me - they called, I didn't pick up, then called back.  I didn't pick up, didn't recognize the number Today they called, asking for "Heather".  Said they had the wrong number.
Now its documented.  wee hee.
