someoen called asking to verify my last 4 of my Social Security number! I dont think so, he then started telling me hje was hired by a company to do polls on graduates from the Art Institute! they said they are in Chicago in teh corporate office! my question is then why does the guy have a Las Vegas Phone number!

Called, I answered and a female voice which sounded automated said 'hello', I repeated hello, voice repeated, I repeated, then they hung up.

I am with UFCW and have been getting these calls for a while, too. Sometimes don't pick up, sometimes pick up and noone's there. Finally yesterday or the day before I picked up and it sounded like it was a call center with lots of noise in the background and someone wanting to talk to me about a 'national opinion poll'. This was sometime between 9 and 1130 am. I said I wasn't interested and hung up. The person really didn't sound legit at all.

This number called me two times in the past week. No message and nobody on the other end when I answered. Calling back the number gets a message stating the number has been disconnected. Scam Alert!

Have received 3 calls from this number this evening.    Like many others reported, caller ID shows "Opinion Poll".      I picked up the phone the first 2 times and no one says anything.   They hang up a few seconds later.   The 3rd time they called, I didn't answer and... like everyone else has been saying, they left no message.

Annoying is right!!   >;-(

It's a North Dakota area code (I lived there for many years) but I won't answer if I don't know it. They called twice within 2 hours, no message.

Scratch that, it's a Nevada area code (one digit off). Definitely scammers! hahaha!

Just got a call from this number.  My boyfriend answered it and told him wrong number.  No one responded when he first said hello, but my bf could hear noises (like a call center) in the background.  I worked at a call center a few weeks back that I think could be part of this scam. Also, applied to some food service jobs in the past week so one of them could have sold my information.  Hopefully wont call back cuz think its wrong number.  weird that people who have spoke to him are not asked any information . . . must give something personal away that could be used later to the scammers' advantage . . .

Called around 9:30 PM Pacific to my cell phone ... didn't answer ... left message with only background noise.

I got a call from this company at 10:00 PM exactly. A lady apologized for the late hour then said she was calling about a 2 minute opinion poll. We have no affiliation with any food service group or union like some of the others have stated. And haven't given our number to anyone but family. Have it unlisted and on the do not call registry. Don't appreciate being woken up when I have to be at work at 5am!

I got two calls from this number last night on my cell (one at 9:40 pm), and it only rang a few times, so was unable to get to the phone. No messages

PS Non profits are exempt from the 'do not call registry', so they get the numbers so they know who to call! Before I signed up, I got a sales call maybe once a week, now I get every charity known to man calling every other day.

I got a call from this number and wondered why I'd get a call from Nevada.

I got a two ring hangup too and I don't belong to any union (small business owner) and I am on the do not call registry.  As for the non-profit exemption, isn't the whole concept of not-for-profit banned in las Vegas?  Definitely a scam.

They called again tonight and identified themselves as apennsylvania opinion survey (my state of residence).  I told them to take me off the list and the girl hung up before I finished the sentence.  Noisy call center background.

Received 3 calls March 17: 6pm (during dinner), 10:30pm (no one calls me that late unless somebody in the family died); and lastly, at 11pm. Yes, 11pm!!!!! All 3 times I asked to be removed from their list. Lady's name was "Mary (could not understand her last name)" from "National Opinion Surveys". Really...what sort of opinion survey could POSSIBLY be serious enough that they would call me 3 times at such distasteful hours??? I was so upset I could not get back to sleep. I'm furious!!!!

I work for the same union. I started getting the calls about a couple days ago. I thought I was getting pranked by sOme friends or something. Has anyone figured
Out what is going on or if this is an actual call from the union?
