Received a call from this number at my business from a guy who said his name was Andrew Miller, a commericial roofer. The call back number he left was a local number. Didn't sound suspicious at all, but I'd never call him because it came from a suspicious Caller ID number.
this number has been used like fresh meat in prison.
Got a call from this number saying " It's important to talk to you about your Visa, Master Card, or American Express card."
So sick of these calls.
its the cia
I received a call from this number twice. We are different... We use Skype for our home phone service. Skype listed the number as coming from "Russia," but a Google search shows the 702 area code is from Clark county in southern Nevada, which also includes Las Vegas.
In any case, it was a recruiting call from United American Insurance trying to get me to attend a recruiting seminar. While I never sold insurance, I was once licensed to sell healthcare coverage, including Medicare supplements. Apparently they were trying to hire me for insurance sales based on my license history, though that was not why I got the license originally.
Received call at work from this number. It was a robo call recorded message from "Mike" trying to imply that we had spoken previously and he was calling me back to talk about some kind of changes to my pension. The number to call to talk to him was 800-444-4939.
For the People
They left a message about restaurants using an ebt card for their customers. It's a scam. I deleted it and listed the number in my address book as A***ole solicitation # 198 with restrictions so it does not ring again.
workin' the scam, workin' it hard !!
Wherever this # is located, it's a SCAM.....Hang Up
702-444-4939 aka Worldwide Telecom aka Venture Capital aka Small Business Capital just called our business 7 times after we've been closed for over an hour now. Finally answered on the 7th call just to make it stop. Picked it up and it's an illegal robocall offering small business loans. They clearly do NOT honor the Federal Do Not Call list, and when you ask them to remove you from their list, their monkey with a script will tell you to F off. Reporting the calls directly to the FCC.gov website, once again, as well as to the Attorney General's office in NV. I'm beyond tired of these scumbags.
Got the robocall about a business loan. I wanted to see who it was. Finally got connected to a call center and he said
mumble CAPITAL. I asked where this business was licensed and he said CA and WA and then I laid into him about the FCC and He said nothing illegal going on and then I said GO AWAY and hung up. *69 got "this number is not in service"
So it is bad guys.
Just got a call from this number. The caller actually left a voice mail -- said he was Derek reminding me that I'd been pre-approved for a small business loan -- and at this point I deleted the voice mail and looked it up. This is a private number, I'm not a small business. Kinda wish now I'd gotten his call-back number.
No message left.
On do not call list...do not call
The caller left a voice mail to call regarding a pre-approved business loan and provided an 800# to call to return his call.
that was me. Just trying to hook up with you again.
Robo call telling me i am still approved for some business loan i didn't apply for. Click...
Some type of business loan offering. Tried to make it sound like I had applied for something. Never heard of them before.
Some company offering a small business loan.
Recorded message from "Derrick with Small Business Loans", nothing but spam and completely unsolicited.
Funny all the different companies using this number. Mine was about small business loans. I would guess by 48 pages on 1800notes that they are scammers. Thank you 1800notes I have been using your site for about 3yrs now and it has saved me from always wondering if I should have answered that call.
i have been getting calls telling me that i have been qualified for a business loan. Wow ! I followed their routine just to hear their offer. After playing their game i told them that i didn*t need or want their service. Told them to remove my #. they then hung up with no response ! FCC really needs to prosecute these low lifes. If i new their actual ,physical location i would send a clear cut message to stop or pay thru their nose, literally !!!!!!!!
He just called claiming to me to Be me and from the us bank
Received a recording saying that I was approved for a loan. It gave a call back number which I did not write down. I remember part of it 1-888. This call came to my work number which is a State agency.
Unsolicited caller, Derek, left a message saying it was a reminder call about having been approved for a small business loan, no such loan was ever applied for. He left a call back number of 888 364 6330.
Just got a call from this number, caller left message saying it it was Eric from Small Business loans, and to tell me that I was still approved for a loan..... Funny I didn't know I had a Business ..... Phishing Scam I think...
This company calls numbers on the do not call registry (in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act) playing a recorded message without an operator on the line (also a violation of the TCPA) stating that they have a guaranteed, pre-approved loan for you. When you get to an operator, the operator wants your name and phone number. The operator refuses to provide the caller's business name when asked (also in violation of the TCPA) and states that if you really wanted the loan, you'd give him your information. The operator also refuses to provide the company's phone number when asked (another violation of the TCPA). If you ask for the caller's information again, the operator hangs up without providing it. This is clearly a scammer - they refuse to provide basic information that 100% of legitimate businesses would gladly provide - even if it weren't required by law, and they require you to provide personal information before they will answer any questions... Do not provide them any information - this is a SCAM!
Called at 7 a.m. some Derek guy for small business loans. 7 am, really???
Okay, here's the deal. 702-444-4939 is a number that gets used at most payphones operated by Maxxtel Communications (a nationally servicing payphone company). They are headquartered in Las Vegas, so the number has a (702) area code regardless of where the individual phone calling you is. If you recieved a call from this number, it's not necessarily an indicator of where the call came from (except that it's in the continental US), only that it came from a Maxxtel Communications phone.
For those of you looking for loved ones, I really hope you find them. Hope this helps!
