I was force to get pay day loans I was paying Google unyil now. I pay mu rent, food and gasoline, or I pay them,  I m trying to make arrangement, some of them did, others threatened to garnish my check, what can I do?

These people keep calling me and the are impersonating attorney's these people are using illegal tactics and need to be shut down

I have gotten a call weekly from these people.  They asked from someone else who is not me.  They will not take "I am not who you are asking for" as an answer.  They continue to call.  I have not in the past nor do I currently have an account with these people. They are rude and abrasive.  What can I do about it.

He called my work phone, which I work for the State, and asked for a co-worker.  It sounded like a woman and said "HER" name was Jose Garcia.  Come on please a womans voice with a man name.  They didnt want to be out on hold and hung up.

i just got a phone call from this number asking for me and they said it was regarding a bad check i had written in 2008. when i told the dumb guy i havent written a bad check he then asked me to verify the address was correct which it was not the correct one. Then he told me the "last 4 of my social" which was also wrong. He then told me that he had the wrong Jessica and hung up. He claims that he was from a law ferm and im not sure why he would have my home number to reach me.

I have paid off my debts and they still call, its been two months, ive contacted a legal rep and am on the phone with check n go, they have taken more money than i owed and  didn't pay it to check n go

Yup, go take a loan, go on default and then when legit collectors call you, conveniently forgoet about your loan and call them scammers. The real scammers are you guys here.

I keep getting a phone call with no answer on the other side from a 7777 number. That is all that comes up on the caller ID. 7777. What kind of crap is that?

Need information on a check I wrote

this is a scam to get people to send money to cover a bad check or late loan payments. they call me all the time and i not only dont have a loan i dont even have a bank account.  if they continue to call they will get violent and say they will place an arrest warrant on you.  tell them you are recording them...they will be the ones to hang up.

received a call from this number stating his name is Matthew and calling from FSG and Associates regarding a PDL Adventures contract.  This guy by the name of Michael Burnette keeps calling from a 7042474048 number and I was stupid enough to fall for the scheme.  I had made two payments because he had me scared that their was legal litagation against me and I could go to jail.  After researching the phone numbers I contacted my bank and stopped payment and cancelled my debit card.  I sure hope someone catches these guys.  They sound so authentic

They called with my maiden name - to my cell phone no less - and told me I was going to be sued in King County court.  I've paid everything off from my earlier days and know FOR A FACT that I owe nothing to anyone.  So, I'm not calling back.  Thanks to the other posters for a heads up on these guys!

Thank GOD for the internet!!!  I've been receiving calls from "Joseph" at 866-443-6985 about a check I wrote and he wanted to verify some information. I don't call back strange people wanting to verify personal information and I don't write checks so I KNEW this was some type of SCAM.  Know your rights under the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act!  Know your states laws on debt collection, after so many years your debt isn't even collectable, in Texas it's 3 years.  IF you can't pay someone, you can't pay, you write them tell them to stop calling you and put everything in writing.  IF they continue to call report them to your State Attorney General's Office.  TRUST ME the calls will stop immediately OR they will find themselves in court with your state's attorney general.  IF they say or do things not allowed in the FDCPA find a lawyer and YOU SUE THEM!!!  Just do a google search on how many people are getting paid suing people they owe.  If they sue you all they can get is a judgement through the courts, it may mess up your credit for 7 years but that's ALL they can do.  The ONLY people that can garnish your wages are the IRS and Student Loan people, those people you'd better make an agreement with and make payments or in the case of student loans ask for a deferment.  KNOW YOUR RIGHTS!!!!

they called my job and ms. hogan wanted to talk to my boss and sd she was on a call she sais she would keep calling back, when i called them back the guy hung uo on me for questioning his call to my job. they are not allowed to cal your place of employment.

First, I got a call from a (877) phone number.  I investigated the company as FCC (Frontier Financial Group)
SCAMMERS!!  When I called them back to bust them, a female answered by just saying "HELLO"  I thought this was very unprofessional for a company to answer this way.  I told her to stop with the annoying calls, I don't owe anyone anything and hung-up.  She called back from another phone number (702) 445-7777 screaming to the top of her lungs that she could call whenever she wanted too.  I reported them to the the FTC and Attorney General LET'S STOP THEM!!!

This number calls me leaving rude messages all the time I finally spoke to them & they said my loan of $330 went to 1250.00!! Can they do that? It has only been 1yr and some mths since my last payment to them! (she said court cost & because I signed all my rights away!???? WTF) I had a similar place call claiming i was gettin a warrant, and my parents paid it off after they did so I realized its a civil matter NOT criminal so they just scammed me & my parents scared. I guess thats what there paid to do....but does anyone know if my rights are really signed away!? Plz no rude responses Im just tryin to figure things out.

His name is Rob Navarro, he owns the outdoor depot in South Fork, Colorado.  His cell is 702-496-3400.  He actually is a nice guy, unless you owe him money.  Very well respected around South Fork, Colorado.  His business is a Kawasaki and Big Tex trailer business.

You guys from this company are scam artists. My loan payment was taken out of my moms account in full and then the company tried to say that yea well you need to these guys if that's the case. They just put it back on the collection agency they sold this account to that has now messed up my credit. They also admitted to me that I paid all of the loan of 300 but the ninety dollars and ninety-one cents that I tried to pay them they couldn't conveniently get but could wait a month and take the whole amount in full through my moms account which I was just an authorized user. This is fraud. I had my own account which they were withdrawing payments every two weeks from. So why go to someone else account to collect the final payment. I have worked in collections and know that I attempted to pay in full and they decided to get more money by willfully not accepting my final payment to tack on fees, I have talked to an attorney and it what they did was against the law and stealing. Now they say the bank must have kept the three hundred then why was it five hundred I had to pay my mom back for the three hundred and fees they took out of her account. Now that IS AGAINST THE LAW!!!

Hey attorneyman, So what about me the payday loan was paid they took it out of my moms account thru her account that she just had me on to use. It wasn't even my account but I was an authorized user they claim the bank kept the money and which was six hundred and the  loan was three hundred. I paid them three hundred tried to pay the last payment through my own account. They claim that they couldn't take  that last payment and went to her account instead. Then I call Ace and they say that I have to talk to these people who are like no, no, you need to talk to ace. How can they try to collect three times and why when I got to my last payment the sneakily don't take it and two days later collect the entire amount from an account I didn't authorized. This is crazy. I have always had direct deposit never used checks what about a warrant they used that to.

Hey, I am in Texas and they just started harassing me, So after reading up on this there are three things,  #1 if you are in NV Las Vegas you can file through your attorney general, # 2 You  need to file a complaint through the BBB I am about to do it here on line and the last thing is block there phone number I found you can do it on you house land line phone and your cell company if allowed will block it for you if you let them know they are harassing you and you don't know who it is and have told them more then once not to call your number.

Judy, that is what the company that sold my information to them did to me they took all my payments but the last one and said that I didnt pay the last payment. Then they went through my  moms bank account four times and kept hitting it with finance charges in the end I had to pay my mom back over five hundred dollars . she had to pay the bank and now the payday loan company has these dumies trying to collect it again. When I tried to tell them calmly the gal immediately got ghetto; and then the supervisor did the same. This should be illegal with this economy!! Where is the help?

I am so upset, I am pregnant and just received two calls  from these dumb uneducated ghetto women yelling at me saying that I owe them for a payday loan that I paid off a year and two months ago. Which they somehow got my moms  bank to pay them the loan amount and an extra two hundred dollars and then I had to pay my mom back and now here we go again everyone trying to get money twice from the same turnip. How dare them threaten me with court when I have never been in trouble my whole 28 years of living. Its amazing as soon as the economy got bad everyone has been trying to fraud the little guy out of the hard earned money that you barely have left to by groceries with. For all my fellow guys and gals above I gave it to them tonight and I'm sure they will think twice about harassing people for money they don't owe and money they already received. It is a payday loan company and  they were shady when I paid them off. they said they didn't get one of my payments once and then charged me a finance charge and I had in the past always paid off the loans through my previous account. What a WORLD WE LIVE IN!!

Just got the same message.  As someone else explained earlier in this thread, consumer debt is a civil matter -- not criminal.
