I get these calls all the time! It's always the same offer for a free vacation and I've politely and not so politely asked to have my number removed from their list. I've tried calling the number back and usually I get a message saying the number is not receiving calls. I've pretended to be interested for a while so that I can get to speak to a manager. Many times I've been hung up on by then. It's so frustrating to feel absolutely no control about constant harassing by phone.
THIS IS MY BEST SUGGESTION:
Whenever I get a telemarketing call, I pretend to be interested for a little while and then say, "oh... can you hold on for just one minute, I just need to switch phones... turn off the kettle..." or whatever. I then set the phone down and carry on doing whatever I was doing when I was so rudely interrupted. A little while later, I go back, make sure they've hung up and then hang up myself. This is my rationale: although it still takes my time to pursue this little pretend game, at least I feel some justification because I'm wasting their time as well. The more time they spend waiting on the phone for me to come back so they can scam me into giving them money, the fewer people they are harassing on their shift. Try it! It feels strangely powerful and it's time we took some of the power back!

they called too and left no audible message, however we could hear a sound that came out of the mouth of the speaker, sounded like a deceived pig hhhhhh. Listen guys, the best way to discourage these mother f***ers is to hang up immediatly without even taking the pain to answer or to "get off" a so-called no-calling list. Just understand it's mathematical, if you react, you are a potential victim, if you don't, they can't invest time on 30 millions phones lines eternally! My advice is this : make the ringer as long as possible, set a middle of say 5 rings, this will make them loose 10 seconds at least. Plus never answer before the fourth, that must become a rule for you! If officials (your bank or your son's school) want to call you they won't hang up before the fourth and in anycase, they will leave a msg if it's important.
It's a war against the evil, and in wars, it's not the temper who wins it's the cold blood and patience. cheers!

I'm glad I'm not the only annoyed one out there.:-)..The call I got from this number was a message on my answering machine.A woman in a strange voice said: "That's the monkey...Pup!" and that's all. I didn't know what to make of it,and still don't. The weirdest call I ever got....

Bonjour,

PUSH NOTHING AND HAN-UP.
if memeroy serves this could be the number to accept long distance charges.
Call your phone company or use your phone carier's last number called function if possible and pay the fee. thus it is logged on your proper phone bill from the date and time of this call.
i search the number out via the net and found the following from the site:

Same old scam - says that I won a Carribean trip... I added the number in Call Screen so it is blocked, but they regularly change numbers or call from a blocked or unknown number. I also think that the number they call from is different from the number being displayed.
Dwaynz 2011-06-06 20:54:22 Unknown
It is a woman's voice, you win a trip and to have his gift we must press 9. We need to really focus since all this staging is to have your money, it is a crime by telephone and a lot of poor people are misled every day. If you receive such a message, close the line and call PHONE BUSTER or the police station in your area. It's very difficult to get their hands on those responsible for such fraud, but if no one takes the time to make a report to the authorities, never any police force would put the tab on these outlaws.
Bartly 2011-06-06 20:54:22 Unknown
Same call received by me just now about the free trip. I didn't press the 9, just hung up on them.
Steve 2011-06-06 20:54:22 Unknown
It's not actually a scam, you really can get a "free" trip, but you have to buy something on top of it. Last time I heard, it was tickets to Disney. They called my friend's place one day, and he put the speaker phone on, and proceeded to tell the woman he has 14 kids. The trip is only free for 4 people. He wanted to know what they would do for him so he could take all his kids. I actually had to leave the room, I was laughing so hard. At one point the woman said to a man in the background "he has 14 kids." My friend managed to take up 15 minutes of their time, and was passed between 3 different people. It was the funniest thing I've ever seen.

I think its a scam to get your credit card information and your identity. I acted naive and played along with a fake name and they ended up asking for the information on your driver's license and your credit card information.

stinkin bunch of low-life son of a b***h punks! It's really a shame that they have to risk getting their a**es thrown in jail for rippin' off a few bucks from innocent people. Seems that these sob's have been calling the province of québec recently from what i hear in here. Bunch of candy a** punks.

They have been calling for weeks, so I finally decided to give it a try. Dialed number 9 and got a clueless woman who was asking why I called. When I informed her she was clearly a telemarketer and that I wanted off the list, she said their policy was to take down the person's last name and their phone number. I told her the number and to scratch me off the list immediately. She once again retorted that she needed my last name. I told her my number again and said that was all she was getting. She then proceeded to call me a "dumbass" where I then threatened to call the cops on her. She told me the number was scratched off and hung up on me.

For 4 times I received a call telling me that ''I won a trip and to press 9''. It's a registered message. I don't know where this call comes from". Today I'll call my telephone company to check on it.

Just got a call from these scam artistes. They claimed they were Publisher's Clearinghouse and that I had just won a trip to Zimbabwe. I played dumb and asked the genius on the phone where Zimbabwe was and he told me it was a very tiny island off of the coast of Africa, and that I was allowed to bring 14 people with me. What a moron. So, when I told him all about Zimbabwe and where it actually was and that I was about to phone the FBI, he hung up. And I was just about to buy in too.

Scam. I receive calls from them about once a week. NEVER give them any info about you. They will use your credit card!

Got these idiots at 9:50 or so PM in Toronto. Woke up everybody in the house. It was an automated message about a freee cruise they said to press 9. I did cause I wanted to speak to a live person and berate them for bothering me this late at night and to take me off the list. I heard a few noises then the line disconnected. A**holes.
