I just changed my phone number and this number keeps sending me text messages

sends me text messages now instead of calling, this is a new low! Message reads "do you have 10k in credit card debt? our program cuts your debt by over 60%"...sorry, no debt here and even if I did, I would NOT use your services through a text message!!!

Multiple msgs to ALL family lines:

dont reply to opt out, it just makes it worse.

the only thing you can do is complain to your phone carrier. Afterall, there's an 80% chance that the spammer is their customer. The carrier (AT&T, verizon) could easily cut these people off, but they are too greedy to do this.
This will eventually end up in court.

It's NOT the FCC, sorry, too many acronyms.  It's the FTC that you file a complaint:
"The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) amended the Telemarketing Sales Rule (TSR) to give consumers a choice about whether they want to receive most telemarketing calls. As of October 1, 2003, it is illegal for most telemarketers or sellers to call a number listed on the National Do Not Call Registry."

Here are the steps that I did:
1) Login to my cell phone carrier to block that phone number.
2) Send that message to my personal email because the lawyer might need it.
3) File a complaint with the FCC.
4) This is where the lawyer comes in but I have not found one yet.  Make sure you pay zero dollar unless the case wins or else you don't hire that lawyer.
I surf the net and found out about the Telemarketing Sales Rule 16 CFR Part 310.
Step 4, if you know how to find a good lawyer, let us all know so we can sue them BUT make sure you pay ZERO dollar upfront to the lawyer.

My cell phone is with a carrier that can block a number, internet spam blocking, spam sent from email, etc.  Check your phone carrier out first to block the number like I did, and then I will report this number to the FCC.  I don't want to mention my cell phone carrier because I don't want to endorse them or advertise their company.

I'm not a lawyer but lawyer loves this stuff.  If your number is in the DNC like mine (received same message), just talk to a lawyer so you can teach us all how to sue them to make money.

I don't want to reply and CONFIRM that they are sending this to an active cell phone account but how do I stop this nonsense?  I don't want to receive a text message notification to look and see that it is this SPAM GARBAGE!

Got the same 10k debt message

I got a test message from this phone and was charged by my cell phone company, because i do not subscribe to its texting service. I DO NOT WANT TO TEXT.
