a called 0n aug. 27, a collect call i don't subscibe long
distance.i did not accept called

I got a collect call from my daugher on her way back home on a bus. She called collect and a 5 minute call cost me over 20.00 on my credit card, are you kidding me 20. bucks for a 5 minute collect call doesn't sound right to me. I wish I know how to contact them to find out if that is the right amount to charge.

The $20.14 is placed there as a hold. The same as some other companies do as well, they may say a certain charge will be on there but later will disappear. Though the actual charge will be present... so to Kay, the $27 will stay on your account and you can't argue with getting that back since you accepted the call.

My brother called me via collect call and that was a big mistake accepting it. I got charged $25.70 for less than a minute.

same here too. My hubby called me collect using this service and they charged 20.14 first and then later dissappeared but a new charge for 27.00 was present.  What does this mean?  Did they take the 20.14 out?  Will there be future charge in the future? to anyone out there, don't use this service.  Bad choice.

This is a long distance co that all payphones use when the person needs to make a collect call an doesn't have a phone card.  You can use your credit card or debit card to accept it if your phone service does not accept collect calls.  If you can avoid using it I would because a 4 minute call from my daughter about 8 miles from my home cost me 25.06 for the final cost and put a hold on my card for the 25.06 and 20.14.  The 20.14 rolled off but caused me to have a charge on my debit card because of the two being held at once.  I will never accept a call again from this company.  They are higher than the jail calls.

same here.  Custom Teleconn.  Asks to accept collect call.  Got it 3 times this week including 11:52 and 11:53 at night.  Not good with 9 minth old twins.  Blocked now.  *78 with Qwest.  Seems more sinister than a normal telemarketing call.  31 Jan 09 call date and a few earlier in the week.

Received two calls from this # 12/26/08 - would not leave message

I missed a collect phone call from this 702 number.  I did a search to find out where it may have come from. The net says NV!  Your posts helped me determine that it was most likely my husband who is stuck at White Pass, WA which is closed in both westbound and eastbound directions.

It helps to know that when one makes a phone call from a pay phone the call goes through the rounds for a company to route it.

Recieved a collect call from my niece from this number, my phone disconnected us before I could accept the call.  Just trying to trace number back to her in order to make contact.  She hasn't tried to call again, and is in route from Oregon to Idaho Falls, ID.

I go this call last night from a Friend in TN; she was calling from a pay phone. Allot of noise on the line (Static) but this call was not collect.

I received this call.  The first time I did not answer as it was a number and ID I did not recognize.  Then immediately afterwards it rang again.  I figured something was going on(my hubby was in town and we do not have cell phone service where we live), anyways so I ansewered it and it made a chime noise and said I had a collect call (I never ever get those, so I was very nervous almost hung up), but waited and it ended up being a collect call from my hubby in town.  Just so you know the strange thing is this came through as 702-507-4900 and we live in MT with a 406 area code.  No where near, but I guess when you make a collect call it is basically which ever long distance company picks it up is what you get, so that is why we had the out of state number on it.  So it actually was not a scam it was a true collect call from someone I knew.

Called me last night after 10pm, and didn't leave a message or anything.

We got this call on March 23rd and let the answering machine take it.  It was a collect call but no info on answering machine.  Might be a scam from a prison.
