The calling machine says that this is John from NSBA (National Small Business Administration) calling about a business credit card. NSBA has been harrassing us for years, since one of their salesmen wandered into the office and gave us one of their magazines.

How do these morons get our numbers?  Called my wifes cell and then 20 minutes later they called our home line.

These people should be tarred and feathered on national television.

I press 1 to talk to the guy. He identifies himself at MGA or something like that. I play 20 questions w/ him, and he ends up getting pissed. Did this several times now, and it's amazing how mad they get when they keep repeating "so you pressed 1 to lower your interest rates, right?" and then I ask where he's located, what's his company name, what's his personal credit card #? etc... have some fun with them, it must cost them.

I hate them so much.  They call and never speak, at least 10 times a week. I'd harass them back if the calls didn't end with silence and a fast-busy.

Why aren't the phone-carriers responsible for the use of their services for fraud and abuse?  I'm sorry sir, but there's just no law against sending threatening letters through the mail.  As if.

12:40pm just got the call and I pressed 1 because everytime they call I had been pressing three to have our number removed from there list and that doesn't work because they keep calling ....so today I asked who they were "MGA Excelerated Services" they work w/ Mastercard and Amex to help individuals who have over $3000 balance on their card.  They have several outlets but today they were calling from sunny Florida.  (We live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.)  I asked how she got our number and she rambled some other company that computer generates the number.  She became very rude and disconnected.  This is stupid, there has to be a way to stop them.  I am going to check with Mastercard to see if they are employed by them.

WHAT DO YOU EXPECT FROM CROOKS???

And as long as you only post on the complaint boards and NEVER REPORT THEM TO THE FTC, DONOTCALL AND YOUR STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL - they cannot be stoppped.

then report them to the ftc, donotcall, and your State attorney general

YOU HAVE TO REPORT EACH CALL TO THE GOVERNMENT AGENCIES otherwise they can't do anything.

EVERYONE HAS TO DO THIS - if they only receive a few complaints - they won't do anything.  thousands of complaints is what is needed to start an investigation. ITS IMPORTANT DO IT THE SAME DAY - because these scammers keep changing their numbers.

caller said it was a credit card.  I'm fed up with all these call and told him I've personally requested many times my number be deleted.  Any how they use to call me from anothe area code.  Did some research. This number belongs to a cell phone in St. Thomas, North Dakota.  The other numbers that call saying it's about credit card are both land lines.  One from Louisville, Kentucky and Virginia,Pennsylvania.  I threaten to post there numbers on the government website for unwanted calls.

My calls have increased and so have the calls of other people that wanted me to put their names and numbers on the DNC list. I now have calls from telemarketers 3 or more times a day. I now answer only calls that I know the number,(even though I have missed calls from people that I do know and  are calling from a number that I do not know). I now even get telemarketing calls on my cell phone. That is highly annoying. I will quite often turn the ringer off on my phones and just take messages. All because of telemarketers. DNC does NOT work.

Constantly getting calls from 1-702-520-1114.

They offer to help reduce debt with credit cards, but say that this will be considered 'my final notice' if I don't want their service.

Pressing '2' to be removed off their list does not stop them repeatedly calling.  Pressing '1' to talk to someone live never connects me to a real person.  What is this scam?

Michael from Cardholder Services.  Wanted to lower the interest rates on my current cards.  I demanded Company name and number as I have been on National Do NOt Call List since its inception and they are constantly violating that despite the fat I press 3 every time they call to be removed from their calling list.  This has been going on forever now.

Actually if they are calling Canadian residents they must abide by the Canadian Do Not Call list. From the CDNC website:

Are telemarketers calling from the United States or other countries required to follow the National DNCL Rules?
Yes. Companies making telemarketing calls or hiring other companies to call Canadian consumers on their behalf must follow the National DNCL Rules regardless of where the call originates.

If you are a Canadian and registered with the DNCL but are still getting calls from them I urge you to file a complaint at: https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/index-eng

If enough of us file a complaint they will be fined. In addition they are using an automatic dialing-announcing device (ADAD) - which according the government - ADADs may not be used for telemarketing unless the consumer has given express consent to accept an ADAD telemarketing call. As well the "ADAD call shall begin with a clear message identifying the person on whose behalf the call is made. This identification message shall include a mailing address and a local or toll-free telecommunications number at which a representative of the originator of the message can be reached. "

I like to say that yes I need their help.  then when they ask how much debt I have I say in a very troubled voice $30,000.  There is always a pause.  Then the script says to ask how many credit cards I have.  7 or 8.  Interest rate.  19-20%.  They like to hear that and right away say they can lower that to 10% or less.  then they get into the am I paying the minimum balance.  I say oh no, I have not paid in 3-4 months.  At this point they usually say they cannot help.  I ask why not and they have some meaningless response.  If I cannot pay my CC minimum how will they get paid is the reason.  One guy did try to see if I could move some of my debt to one card and bring at least one of them within sight of actually being able to use it.  Eventually they say they cannot help and is there anything else they can do.  I ask in dejected voice, please stop calling.
