I just got the same call but this was on my very pvt. office number.  I listen to the message and I KNOW that Macys etc have not a thing to do with this.  I called Macys corporate office to their investigations office and they are going to look into this.   NO major company including WalMart would be sponsering this.
If each of you after you hear the out going message, then call the companies that they CLAIM to be representing, I can assure you that these companies will come down HARD on this foolishness.

Good luck.   Macys is NOT amused.

702-520-1295 is a phone scam.  First call my son hung up on them.  Called again without any caller ID.  Same phone scam I reported last week from another number that was disconnected the day after I started to call their bluff.  They claim to have drawn my name from a draw at Wal Mart, offering an all-inclusive trip to Villas Sol resort in Costa Rica, with an additional stay in Orlando or Cancun for 5 days and 4 nights.  Voucher you win is worth $2600 and you have to pay on the spot for the rest of the expenses ($800 the first day last week, then $400 the next day for the same package....) Today was their third attempt to reel me in!!

I also just received a call from this number. I was actually really surprised to see info on it when i checked it on google.

I've been getting these scams calls since I got a new land line, this 702 number is new to me though, usually the scam calls come from Maryland...

*57 will help to stop the problem??

I get calls from this number daily. I let it go to voicemail and sometimes there's a message about having won a 'super rate at an all-inclusive resort'. Sometimes it's an offer about upping my credit card rate (I don't have a credit card). Sometimes there's no message left at all. If I call it back I get a busy signal.

I get this call regularly at work. Usually I hang up, but today I actually listened to it all the way through. There is an opt-out option at the end of the call (they say you dial '9' to sign up for the offer, and '3' to decline it). I didn't actually hit the 3 to see if it works, but next time  I will.

Almost same comment as above commenters. While it may be legit (in terms of not being an outright illegal scam), the announcement the company made was that I won an all inclusive vacation. Meantime I have to get to Cancun or Costa Rico by myself, probably using their travel agency. Having worked for these companies (on my behalf I did not last too long, I heard so many lies from other salespeople on the floor and had to give such a hyped up delivery, knowing that by the time I got them all excited about it I had to then ask if they made enough money to qualify them, that I really didn't want any part of it) I knew that they have to hype you up and then sell you the "real deal." If I really won something I wouldn't be asked how much money I make, it's none of their business. If I can afford to go I should be able to go. But because they really want you to buy time shares they have to make sure it's worth their while to give you this prize package. LOL! Plus I knew without a shadow of a doubt that NO ONE entered me, in fact the automated call said someone in MY FAMILY entered my name & phone number. I'd like to know which one. Well then they should know what my name and phone number is instead of asking me for it. They should be able to tell me what store they got it from. When I really did win tickets somewhere to a show from an entry, they called and all I had to do was pick up my show tickets, I knew I entered and so was surprised only that I actually won something. My husband and some friends went to a country music show for free, compliments of the real store that had the entry box in it. It's such a scam because they don't tell the truth at the beginning, they probably get their lists from list services they pay for, even if you get there and sit through the sales pitch from RCI, because they start off with lies I won't listen. I can't stand that nonsense and I virtually told the rep that. I explained I used to work for those companies and I know everything he's going to tell me. Yes, some people go and actually enjoy it, some people will buy into the time shares, but the sales pitch to get you there is just ridiculous. But since people do buy, they do it & pay the telemarketers if they last that long to get a good one over on people. One time I had a girl (when I worked for a vacation company) who was so excited that she believed she won -- I felt sorry for her as I continued my pitch to this naive young lady, knowing she didn't "win" anything. She was so happy to think she won something. I didn't last long at this boiler room type company, I felt like dirt when I got to the part about how much money did she make? she regretfully said she didn't make anything close to that. to this day I feel bad about it, I'm going to ask God for forgiveness. I would NEVER do anything remotely close to that again.

The recorded message offered a low rate on a credit card with an option to press 9 to talk to a rep.  Pressed 9, stated that this was a call out of the blue and asked what company they represented.  I thought that it might be a legit call from my cc company.  They immediately hung up on me.

Called with a recorded message saying they could lower my credit card rate. Asked the listened to press 9.
Which I did.
I do not have any credit cards. Never have.
Which I proceeded to tell the person that answered.
They then hung up.
I am on the no call list. Isn't this illegal?
I would assume they get lots of people to give them their credit card numbers and personal info.
