No answer when I asked who is this and why you are calling me.

Just moved 3 weeks ago. I've an unlisted number. Whoever this is calls 3-6 times a day and when I let it go to VM, there is just a hang up. this morning I answered it. The guy on the other end said 'hello' then hung up. I am on DNC list, but that seems to do no good. I am thinking of reporting it to FCC or a state agency. I am making a police report for harrassment.

Hi this is William Howard caling you from the Load Modification Department at 866-984-2651.  We understand you have having trouble making your monthly payments...blah blah blah blah blah.  This was an automated dialer.  I don't have any loans. Stop calling my work number.

Got a message from a guy claiming to be named Eugene Harris from some loan modification department (probably his apartment) and told me to call back some number. I'm pretty sure it was a pre-recorded message.

Called our busines...someone just said, "Hi" then hung up... pretty cool.....

I call them back in my spare time and either hang-up, or I just let the person hang saying hello?hello?hello? lol I'm suppose to be on a DNC list but I'm not sure how effective it is because people always say we don't have to abide by that because wer are bla-bla-bla...excuse me now while I go call 800-374-1414 for the next couple hours with redial as I enjoy my movie ; )

Someone has been calling several times a day from this number, and i miss it or choose to have it go to machine, did a search of the number and it came back to Nevada. I answered it this morning 5/18/09 (before 9 am) and all he said was "HHiiii" when i said hello...then click he hung up.

I don't even *own* a car and they called me saying my vehicle warranty would expire. I didn't know I had a warranty on my feet!

I have gotten 2 or 3 calls from this number 702 520-1328. The last call I received said Paul. . . To Be removed from the data base press [2] To Speak with a representative about your vehicle press [1] now! The weird thing is that I bought a extended warrenty on my car, so there is no way my warranty is up. I never called them back.

I just did some research using yellow pages and the lovely Internet and found out that the numbers calling starting with 702-520 all come from the Las Vegas area.  The numbers are rented from Digitcom Services Inc.  http://www.digitcom.net/default.asp  Digitcom rents out numbers to the California, Arizona, and Nevada area.  Whoever is scamming is renting several local numbers from Digitcom and using them for their scam.  I don't have time to look further into this or I would.  Thanks everyone.

I and my family (and my friends) have been receiving calls from this number and others similar to it with the same message.  I am usually away from my phone when they call, but I get the message on my voicemail.

Mine leaves voice message about lowering mortgage rates. Also same thing from 301-882-9986. Started getting these calls on my cell last week.

I got the call last night and waited on hold for 30 seconds...a customer service representative picked up and asked whether I wanted my car warranty extended.  I have purchased lifetime warranties on all my vehicles, so it struck me as funny which vehicle would be expired.
I asked for which vehicle this warranty was call was related, and he told me that "for security purposes, I cannot divulge that information."  I asked what company would provide the extension of my lifetime warranty, and he said, "again, for security purposes, I cannot divulge that information."
I said to him that he need to work on his bullsh*t if he was going to be successful in his scam of the public.  
Thereafter, he hung up...

Yep, the same thing has happened to me.  I have actually talked to someone and asked why were they calling me and he hung up.

inquired about a recent car purchase, said my insurance was about to expire and if I'd like he can reinstate it for me, so I asked "through whome and why is it expiring and he hung up, I tried calling back several times and it blocked me
