Hi this is John Stevens and I'm calling about, blah, blah, blah....  Well John calls me daily with this recoreded message and asking me to push 1 to speak with someone.  Can't understand a damn thing the person says because of a dialect issue.  SOOOOOOOH.  I called them back.  1st call I just started asking about who they were.... HANG UP>  I called again and asked what they had to offer me who they were...  HANK UP....  3rd call.  I said, Hello, I'm calling to speak with John Stevens, it is important that I speak with him.  Woman said he is not available and HUNG UP>.......  4th call...  I said "This is Jim Wilkinson from the Federal Trade Commission and it is important I speak with Mr. John Stevens right now.  Woman said hold on and I listened to her asking someone if John was in, it's a call from the government.  Anticipating a hang up, I then injected that unless I speak with Mr. John Stevens now, his off can expect our agents to arrive soon...  bang!  That drew a HANG UP again.  PAYBACK!

John Stevens & Co. have multiple phone numbers...and spoof real phone numbers. I think they are also in the "used" cell phone business if you know what I mean. This is a classic "boiler room" fraud scheme. Now, to get even, you can either put their number on your own speed dialer and flood them or...even better...here's one...OK, the key to trashing these people is not to respond with any word other than yes...their script calls for them to stop any call that does not use this exact word. Get your trusty Freon horn, but only AFTER you can engage them. Just suddenly bring it, without warning...as you play the pigeon. Thee people are scumbags of the highest level.

Again, the number to call them back on is 603-214-3527...you will get cheesy music...then a non-English speaker will answer...either say yes to their lead question and then give them the horn...or just blast them the second they come on. If you hesitate or try to deviate from their script, they will cut you off.

Call their toll free number 866-216-0842 and ask to be removed.  As of today, this number still works and the good thing is it costs them money to receive a number on an 866 toll free number.  John Stevens, aka a bunch of names, is not a big operation so after 5 or so calls you'll recognize the operator's voices and they'll recognize yours.  I just politely said, "please remove me from your call list".  if they did not hang up immediately, I added, "I'll keep tying up your lines until you do".  If they say, OK, your off. DON'T BELIEVE THEM.  You're not off until they pause long enough to take down your phone number.  Bad news, is it took 20+ calls.  Sort of fun hitting redial while watching an old movie.  They weren't happy.  Too bad.

Oh, and if you have a fax machine or two.  Have it call the 866 number on auto redial until they talk to you.  It won't cost you since it is an 866 number and it will tie up their agents with loud fax tones.  Sounded fair to me.

I have received calls several times a day with the same recording but from several different telephone numbers.  They are listed at the end.  Over two months ago I placed a request with their "operators" to place me on their "Do Not Call List" ( as many as you have done ) and still received the calls.

Today I called and proceeded to state I had enough debt to be eligible for their program.  They verified my telephone number and wanted my full name.  I actually spoke to an agent and placed the do no call request, yet again, and to his frustration he stated that it would take 3-5 days to have me removed from the list.  Then he promptly hung up.

I took down the date and time and with whom I spoke to and I will certainly contact the authorities if I receive a call after next Thursday, that gives them a whole whopping week that should only take 3-5 minutes on a computer.

First is the telephone number, second is the Caller ID, third is the date, and finally the forth is the time.

Pre-recorded message but appears to be an 'actual' call from (forgot the name he says).  Calls at least twice a day, every day and indicates this is the last attempt to contact you.  Pressing one gets you a real person with an extremely heavy alien accent that asks if you want to speak to someone about your debt problems who hangs up as soon as you tell them to remove your number from the calling list.  They are in violation of the DO NOT CALL LIST but am told that can't eliminate 'random' dialing.  This is not random this is regular.  I'd like to know how to rid the invasion of my own home phone's privacy from annoying, unsolicited telemarketers.  Obviously DO NOT CALL is useless.

Same as above.  War dialing and into a PBX to a non-direct dial number.

These people stink.

I receive calls from this number constantly.  Typically I place it on hold, and set the phone down. (ties up the line, hopefully costs them more and delays a call to others)   This time I pressed 1 to speak to an agent and someone asked if I wanted to speak to an agent I said yes, about getting my # removed from your list... they hang up.  Try calling the number back, and does not go thru (rejecting incoming calls? Lines swamped from their computer dialer?)... anyway, would LOVE to know which .gov group to complain to.

Repeatedly calls and hangs up. Have tried several times to get them to remove me from list. This same number came up twice and was told it was two different companies. One time said was Consumer's Credit and another time said something about a warranty.

I received a non-automated voice message from Victor Simmons at the Dynamic Assistance Group at 1-866-203-9231.  I experienced the same problems others have received when trying to get them to remove me from their list.  If the number they called you at is registered with the National Do Not Call registry, please make sure you file a complaint.  The Do Not Call registry is not useless.  True, the Federal Trade Commission, who operates the registry and enforce violations, does not have the staffing to investigate every single complaint (they actually say this on the registry web site).  However, if the FTC receives enough complaints, they might decide it's enough of a problem to investigate or even file a class-action law suit.  Every one who has posted or is reading postings related to this company should file a complaint if this company or one of their aliases has called you at a number on the registry.  To file a complaint is very easy and takes less than a minute.  You've got nothing to lose and will increase the likelihood that the company gets investigated.

To file a complaint, go to:
https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx.

Yes, good 'ole Victor Simmons called me at work with this - his recording tellingyou about how he can help with your high credit card debt! So annoying. It's bad enough invading someone's privacy at home - but at work? Is this not extremely illegal??

I see from a lot of the listings at this site that Victor has called many of you during July, 2009. Terrible.

I received a recorded call from this number on Sunday.  It is against the law to make outgoing calls to the state of Florida, possibly other states as well, I didn't check other states' laws.  Class action suit, anyone?

Hi All,
I received a letter yesterday from the NH Attorney Generals office.
It states that the Consumer Protection and Anti Trust Bureau reviewed my complaint and has referred it to the Federal Trade Commission (with a case number).
Tmcallerid a.k.a "John Stevens Debt Solutions" should start letting people opt out or I will consider a class action.
Regards,
Paul Herman

I think there's a special ring in Dante's Inferno reserved for the guy that made the recording for these people. They've called here using a variety of different phone numbers, this one being the latest. They break practically every FCC telecommunications rule there is. You know, it's the recording that sounds like someone really talking to you, he claims to have your file or folder in front of him and such. He says he's getting back to you from a prior conversation even though you've never spoken to these people. He always promises that it's the last attempt to notify me - oh Lord, I WISH! If you press one to speak to customer service to ask to have your number removed, they are totally RUDE and hang up on you. EVIL outfit that I wouldn't mess with - no matter what!!!! I've reported them to the FCC a number of times now I've resorted to pressing one and using a whistle or whatever other loud thing I have available. They call at the worst times - I sooo wish I had their home numbers! I hate stuping to their level though ...
