Got a call today from a computer named "David" from CCCS at 408-418-5608 in California wanting to "eliminate credit card debt through the bank stress test act" I keep getting scam phone calls from these guys and the "you've won a trip" guys and they seem to be escalating- think I will just let everything go to the answering machine from now on
Ann86 2011-06-27 17:29:47 Unknown
I would not trust this number. The company associated with it has had so many complaints made against it, that it's been rated "F" by the Better Business Bureau.
Janna 2011-06-21 18:14:17 Unknown
I got the "stress test act" phone scam today. Unfortunately I don't have call display. I'm in Canada and it just didn't sound legitimate, but I didn't talk to an agent. I think they used the same announcer as in the boat cruise scam. I kept expecting to hear the sound of a cruise ship whistle.
BuddhaTN 2011-06-06 20:54:25 Unknown
I got the same call. Left a message on my machine.
Madelyn 2011-06-06 20:54:25 Unknown
This is the 4th time I have been bothered receiving a call that is listed in caller id as Relief Now!! The automated message is stating there is a limited time to sign up for assistance and to press 1 to speak to an agent.
I asked for my number to be removed from their call list and they rudely hung up on me! Caller ID: 7025201341
Isn't there something we can do to shut these scam artists down once and for all!!!
John 2011-06-06 20:54:25 Unknown
Got another annoying call from the "Credit card bail out" help line.
They say that there is a limited time to sign up for assistance and to press 1 to speak to an agent.
I asked for my number to be removed from their call list and they promptly hung up on me!
Darshan 2011-06-06 20:54:25 Unknown
Ridiculous company, they call you and its an immediate answering machine asking to press 1 if I would like to clear all my debt, after doing so someone comes on the line and i tell her i want my name and number removed -- and she hangs up!!!! They need to crack down on these cold call ethics, hiring anybody and not running legitimately!! I am also filing a complaint with the FTC.
TELY 2011-06-06 20:54:25 Unknown
THEY OFFER CREDIT CARD RELIEF, THEY ARE LIARS, BIG SCAM!!!
WOWaddicts 2011-06-06 20:54:25 Unknown
Same thing, keep calling, and pressed 1 to talk to person, hung up on when informed we don't have credit card debt and asked them to remove us from their list.
paul 2011-06-06 20:54:25 Unknown
When I stated that I was on the no call list and asked to speak to a supevisor, the lady said that this was Piiza Hut and wanted to know what I ordered, and played stupid. Then she hung up

Ridiculous company, they call you and its an immediate answering machine asking to press 1 if I would like to clear all my debt, after doing so someone comes on the line and i tell her i want my name and number removed -- and she says Well then don't press one or we will keep calling!... HOW ANNOYING!

Got the message this moring... They give Debt Adjustment programs a bad name. =( Its sad. I work for a Law Firm that handle BK and Debt settlement and appear for our clients in court if the creditor takes legal action which DOES happen! Anyway it hard to compete with people like this and the % they charge is of course lower than what we charge but the fact is they are going to do close to nothing for you. We also help clients that have been scammed by debt settlement companies. Feel free to call us @ 866-654-5853.
Jesse Padilla 2010-07-08 16:56:01 Unknown
Please call me @ 866-654-5853 and I will explain the program. Ask for Jesse Padilla.

Received call from Andrea at CCS - 888-567-4218 regarding reducing credit card debt to zero legally under the Bank Stress Test Act. Same as above messages.
Kate 2010-05-07 05:07:03 Telemarketer
I got this spam today. There is a Bank Stress Test Act from 2009 but it has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with Credit card debt. The act has to do with testing whether banks were solvent, and not related at all to personal consumer debt. This is definitely a scam trying to use terms to confuse people. DO NOT FALL FOR IT or let anyone else you know or care about do it either. Keep up the good postings - if we all help each other out there's a chance we won't get suckered.
Susie 2010-04-15 13:27:03 Unknown
Thanks for the posting, Got the call too. SSCCAAMM yep scam

I am an 80 year old diabetic whose only income is social security. i owe no back taxes or child support. Yet credit car companies still hassle me. How can I legally eliminate them without going to court?
Parker 2009-07-13 20:17:56 Telemarketer
Caller ID says "TN Removal List"
Voice mail said this is "Brian with CCS" -- he said this was his last attempt to contact me about how I can eliminate my credit card debt through the newly enacted Bank Stress Test Act.
Funny thing is, he called me last Friday with the same message, so I guess neither time was his "last attempt."

Among the most annoying of telemarketers. They keep calling about reducing your debt under "Bank Stress Test Act."
samul 2009-06-12 21:11:39 Unknown

I call them back in my spare time and either hang-up, or I just let the person hang saying hello?hello?hello? lol I'm suppose to be on a DNC list but I'm not sure how effective it is because people always say we don't have to abide by that because wer are bla-bla-bla...excuse me now while I go call 800-374-1414 for the next couple hours with redial as I enjoy my movie ; )
Peeko 2009-06-04 22:50:04 Telemarketer
I'm still laughing over this one.
An automated message that doesn't wait for you to answer to start playing tells you that they want to help you take advantage of the, hehehe, "Bank Stress Test Act", ahahahahaha, to reduce your credit card debt. If you follow politics, you'll know there's no such act, but regardless, if it did exist, what does it have to do with credit cards? That's right, nothing. The recording tells you to call 800-374-1414 for more info. When I called the minion asked how I had the time to find out if there was such a thing as the ""Bank Stress Test Act" and then started the typical scam artist act of pretending innocence. She got really mad when I asked how many Americans she had helped rip off today but did not refute that she was doing just that. She couldn't speak english very well, but I sounded like it was from dropping out of school more than being from somewhere else.
This is another number to add to that long list of 702-520-XXXX numbers that try to rip us off each and every day. The call center only handles contracts associated with a scam it seems and they hire people who obviously couldn't get a job cleaning toilets. Wish I knew who they were. I know some arsonists, lol.
