Called me on land line in British Columbia at 14:30, March 23; left no message. www.whitepages.ca/reverse_phone says it is a mobile phone in Las Vegas metro area, Clark County. This lookup website says it will tell you who owns the number for $1.99 billed to your cellphone. Tried to add it to my list of blocked callers, but the Telus recording says it can't do it, gives a bunch of reasons, but the real reason is because it is a USA number.

apparentely it's a scam. the caller is from Nevada (Henderson, Las Vegas, North Las Vegas) or something. i get this call everyday and it pisses me off

These scams like to use U.S. numbers into Canada and Canadian numbers into the U.S. to make fraud prosecutions more difficult because of the different jurisdictions.

Yes, you hear the ship's horn and "your captain" has a message for you that you've wone a trip. Damn marketers - I get this call all the time and every time from a different number. How is this even allowed by authorities? Because obviously a "different number" technique is used to avoid call blocking, recognition, etc.
