This phone number belongs to a public utility named CallerID4U, Inc. - they have entered into revenue sharing agreements with telemarketers who make illegal unsolicited telephone calls.  They profit directly from these outbound unsolicited telephone calls.

supposed to be on a do not call list, but we get 4-5 calls a day

Live in Canada, automated message offering better mortgage rate from a local broker in the US.  Would be more interesting if we own a home in the US.

Automated message, calls and hangs up. If you answer you get robo message from Google, in violation of Do Not Call. Typical of federal government not to enforce rules on big corporations, but hound the little guy to death.

I just got the same msg. It wasn't the first time though. I've checked with Google and of course, this is bogus. Just a waste of my time & energy.

Called multiple times claiming I had not verified my business Google listing. Told them I wasn't giving them any info. Appears to be some company trying to sell search engine optimization services. Claims they are authorized by Google.

Robo call - claimed to be Google to validate my Google listing. If you try to validate it rings to another person who never picks up.

Scam-- many different companies being referenced on caller ID's   spells SCAM

I keep getting call from this number also.  It seems that this should be illegal or limited.  My phone rings several times a week.  I suppose they will get tired a of paying for calls to an answer machine and quit.

Been getting a lot of unsolicited calls from all kinds of different numbers since I've gotten a new landline with AT&T. This is one of them. Since I have all calls forwarded to my cell, it's been seriously annoying. Thankfully, I have a blacklist option on my cell to help me avoid repeat callers but every other day there's another new number calling me. SMH

Most of these robocalls seem to just call sequentially (212) 555-0000, (212) 555-0001, etc. Your number wasn't likely "given out" but rather just called because it was next in line.

FACT 1 - the DNC list CLEARLY does not work!  Everyone knows this...or should know this!
FACT 2 - filing a complaint with the FCC does not work!  A total and complete waste of time.  Done that.
FACT 3 - having an unlisted phone will not help you.
FACT 4 - asking/begging telemarketers to take you off their call list ? you?ll get laughed at!
FACT 5 - no "class action" law suits are being filed and certainly, none are being LITIGATED.

I have had the same home number and the same business phone number for over 15 years and my home and my business lines (both published) seem to be on every call list imaginable.  I bought a Panasonic call blocking phone for my home and I bought a Uniden call blocking telephone for my business.

NO MORE PROBLEMS WITH TELEMARKETERS.   THEY CAN?T GET THROUGH!

We can stop these telemarketers IF we all buy a call blocking phone.

NOTHING ELSE WILL STOP THESE TELEMARKETERS!
