they call asking for personal information, they are not willing to give you any information about themselves, when you persist they simply hang up on you.  Scamers

I keep getting calls from this same number also, and they are not leaving a message. They are calling my cell.

Caller ID said Local Rank Rpt....I didn't pick up.  I've gotten a couple of calls this week from this number.

Our automated attendant picked up, and they failed to press a number to go to the next menu or to get an extension.  i HATE calls like this!  SO annoying!

I don't answer unknown calls. I Google the number and find out who it is. If it's spam I save it in my phone under the name "Spam." Then I know immediately when they call back not to answer. :-) It might be Google Spam, Time Warner Cable Spam, etc.

I believe they have multiple phone numbers.  They are a SEO company that makes it "sound" like they are from Google, when in fact they are not.  They are an independent company that is spam-calling people to try and sell them their website building and Google search results packages.  In my opinion they get the phone numbers from phone number harvesting programs that go out in the web and pull numbers from websites, etc.

The automated pitch is almost always the same.  Choose 2nd option of removing your phone number from their list by pressing 2.  I  have done this a few times getting the same message, but from a different phone number.  How stupid is that?  They keep spamming a phone number that has requested to be removed from their list!

I can't help but answer.  If I don't actually pick up then the voicemail system picks up.  Either way, the robo-caller notes the line as valid and the calls go on and on.

This number keeps calling here every week but NEVER leaves a message. Obviously some scam or stupid sales pitch....they either get my fax or message machine...I hope it costs them money to listen to them...haha

You don't stop them because you cannot stop them. Do not answer calls from numbers you do not recognize. Buy a call blocking phone or a call blocker hang-on box, or program your mobile with a blocker app.

Got call - Voice message advising to choose option for Google Listing updates - UNSURE if legit of not, pressed 0 by mistake nothing happen (Hopping we won't get an enormous scam charge on our bill at the end of the month for pressing it o.O)

I called the number back to see what  I get. I was  told I could place my number on a do not call list. I did that. They said wait 72 hours for it to be effective. We'll see. Does anyone know who to notify about abuse (or ignore) of the do not call requests?
